Mijn usb sticks worden niet herkend meer. Mijn ipad, iphone, exteren herd schijf en ipod worden nog wel herkend maar mijn key usb niet meer. First squeeze ik een merging dat het niet goed geinstalleerd expensive is druk op clean oplossen dat lukt ook niet maar ik daarna. Kan iemand mij helpen?

I would like to start with a big shout out to Paul T for his VERY useful thread here!
Family of a friend asked me to work on their laptop, because I know more about computers they do... they are people very well, was happy to help out, but true to form, like many PC users, they did not bother keeping the documentation provided with the laptop (HP Pavilion g6-2298nr), or they bother to burn recovery using HP DVD built in recovery software which is comes standard on laptops... If I am interpreting what HP's Web Site had to say about the laptop model HP Pavilion g6-2298nr, correctly, she is the serial number it is no longer eligible for free technical support and I have to pay a fee just to talk to someone and to order recovery of the HP DVD (family friend bought in Dec 2014 so it seems REALLY odd that I wouldn't be able to just order) DVD recovery without having to pay tech support a tax just to ask to order the recovery DVD! .. But anyway...) ...
Where was the product key "integrated" in the BIOS really comes in handy! I crossed my fingers, used the method mentioned in the thread linked above, and it worked!
... have to admit it was a bit strange at first, do not use the product key sticker like the old days, but I can see how it works better in the long term - helps prevent piracy, you don't have to worry if someone who do not realize the importance of product keys thumbnail it takes off and he throws...Unfortunately, it seems that when you reinstall Windows in this way, you lose the HP Backup and Recovery program

.. but does not support the family of my friend for the drive hard because they were good for my munchkins and did not want to pay through the nose for a more expensive hard drive so of course I tried to minimize my own...)... I also think the type of program is based on a "C" and "D" drive is set up as if it were when the laptop comes with the original hard drive and saves a copy of the backup on the disk "D"... I guess I could use disk management to create a different partition, label it "D" and see if HP Backup and Recovery work, but it seems a bit... questionable... not to mention that I feel uncomfortable to download something that is not directly on the HP Web site as an "official"... downloadI know that Windows 8 has a utility of 'image system' built-in that allows you to do exactly that... an image of the system... as I said my friend family is good people, but I'm guessing that sooner or later they're going to screw up this laptop by pulling again as do many users of the computer... it would be nice if I could burn a system image of what is on the laptop now on DVD and hang on, then when they come back to me screaming in the future ' help, laptop does not work yet! I can just restore the system image on DVD instead of having to go through the hassle of reinstalling Windows, graphics/audio/drivers etc., zillion Windows updates and an etc. all over again.
What I was asking, that is... would this even work? I have never tried to use the image of the system in a situation like this with the product being key ' built in ' BIOS, this kind of thing is brand new to... worth me burning the DVDs and hung their just in case where?

Yes, which makes a system image will work. I do it all the time.
PC GE set up the way you want and make the image of the system and the usb drive recovery you'll need access to the system image, or you can use W8 OEM disk made you (via the menu to repair your computer at the bottom left of the screen install Windows when you start from the DVD) to boot from, and access to the system image.
If you have the DVD you have to more than one. Probably not less than 4.
But as much as to try to submeter a recovery partition, which is not going to work.
I am very surprised that you cannot order a set of recovery discs HP online at the link below, last line labeled order recovery media. Some people have reported trying to enter information such as the serial number and the link is dead. But nothing venture nothing have nothing.
If this does not work, you can have your friends order a set of this provider no HP...
I congratulate you for your help in providing your friends with this very time consuming project.

The missing files (NOT deleted) of the file/directory of the system drive NTFS

I have a WinXP SP3 system with a SATA 2 TB to the additional internal address as a data reader. This player has only the data (.mp3, video) files in a directory and has never been used for anything other than data files. There is only one directory for the files, and although it is four levels of subdirectories to the bottom, the tree is only these four subdirectories.
A week ago, I noticed that the free disk space on this drive jumped from 350 GB up to 1.2 TB, leaving about 600 GB of data on the disc (about 2 500 files). After checking what is obvious (Rebreather, etc.), I noticed that the missing files were all from one file *. * to n *. * and [0-9] *. *. All files beginning with o *. * to z *. * are still there. So, essentially, Miss me about 9 000 files.
I checked to see if the missing files could be cancelled or retrieved and downloaded several utilities 'undelete' recovery or data. All public services showed that there was no data to recover, that is, the files just disappeared or evaporated.
Where did they go? I'm totally distraught about it.
The files are not hidden, because the reduction of space disk; hidden files still take up the space.
I didn't something in training in the hope of recovering the data. I thought that perhaps an index obtained corrupted or deleted because files deleted did not appear in the correct order of the directory index. I ran a chkdsk on the volume, he came to own, and the files were still missing. If the files have been deleted in alphabetical order, they would still be "deleted", recoverable files?
I also tried to see if I could do a restoration of the system to the point in time before the files have disappeared, but my System Restore says there is nothing to not restore, no action to take.
Any ideas appreciated.

R - Studio found the files missing, but only about 75% of them were really recoverable. Those who were not recovered was a length of zero byte. The advantage is that the names of the files were still intact, so at least I know which ones to re - create. The downside is that it's a few thousand files that need to be redone. That will take time, but a lot less time that I would have had to spend to recreate all missing files.
R Studio also found entries previously deleted files, and I got these, too. However, the recovered files are damaged and unusable. Given that I didn't really need those, it wasn't a problem. I mention this simply as something that R-Studio accomplished (and the other tools do not have).
The recovery is complete in terms of finding the missing files and restoring their readers to spare. It took a lot of time, about three days I was doing piecemeal in bursts of 500 GB move the files recovered on spare disks. I'll move the files that I had not lost before out of the disc problem, as well, and then replace it. readers are cheap these days. :-)

Comments on the system, I bought
First of all, I tell myself I should layout, what I bought and what I added to the system.
- Dell Studio 540
- Core 2 Quad Q8300
- ATI Radeon HD 3450
- Onboard 5.1 (Realtek)
- 8 GB RAM
- 640 GB drive internal SATA
- 640GO of external drive (which I moved from my old system)
- LinkSys WMP600N (that I purchased separately)
- DVD - RW
- Keyboard Microsoft I had (4000 natural)
- Mouse MS that I had (IntelliMouse Optical)
- Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP1 (now upgraded to SP2)
- Dell UltraSharp 20 "widescreen LCD (which I moved from my old system)
- Reference Dell 20 "widescreen LCD with webcam and stereo microphones
And now comments:
- The system scenario and the new monitor have a gloss finish. I ended up concluding that it added nothing to me. In fact, they show fingerprints easily.
- The glossy part apply to the display area of the new monitor too. Unfortunately, it adds a lot of glare that does not have the older UltraSharp monitor.
- The webcam is a disaster. Do not buy a Dell monitor just for the webcam. In my case, my glasses can make things worse for the camera. They reflect the light emitted by the good monitors the camera. In any case, all I get is a bad dark image. I tried to play around with the settings, but they did not help.
- The monitor, UltraSharp, while several years older, has more connections than the new video monitor. I do not use them, but some people might still have a use for connectors S-video and composite. Now, if the new monitor has a HDMI connector, that is not, it could compensate for this loss. The irony is that my video card has only a single DVI connector. I had to separately buy an HDMI cable to DVI to connect two monitors.
- The UltraSharp monitor has more settings in the database. In fact, the new monitor has not.
- The new physical buttons on the monitor are smooth, but add not much more than the glitter. Not what I paid for.
- I was really hoping a chassis without tool. He did not. In fact, this matter is the exact opposite of "no tool".
- For desktop computers, the location of the center of media player, in the middle of the front of the case, makes sense. But I put it on the floor (on a trolley). I don't see when I put my CompactFlash card or a USB device into the connectors. So it would make sense that future designs would allow the Center to move up above the external and placed disks at an angle. The center of the whole being a USB device, such a system could be plug-and-play. Owner simply moves the Center to the desired location. Once the Center is far from the default location, external drives move downwards to fill that spot and make room for the new location of the Center at the top. The current Center makes room for a floppy drive, but why? There is no floppy connector on the motherboard. I you happen to have a card PCI IDE of my old system and an IDE LS - 120 (bed LS-120 120 MB disks, and standard floppy disks), but I don't see the trouble. Most of the people do not have those. So either kill the 3.5 "Bay or something similar.
- It's a good thing that the door in front of the media center can be left out. I never close these doors. In fact, I have simply removed their cases.
- I'm upset that a $1300 computer does not come with VT - x support.
I hope that Dell will improve their products, based on my experience.

After restoring factory and updates for Windows 7, the system now asks passwords
Recently had to do a factory restore on a toshiba laptop with windows 7 preinstalled top. has restarted the machine once he had comepleted and now it says Admin profile is locked and my username and password do not work
1 - password was never set on the user profile. (Yes it may have been stupid not to do that for security, but that a person uses the laptop)
2nd why admin profile has been locked?
3rd - without having a password to disk or save it on a USB key, how can I get around this?
4th - also why Microsoft charges to ask questions and get support on their own products?
* original title - Windows 7 - had to factory restore after updating to windows 7. now, cannot connect to admin or normal user logon. said needs password. PASSWORDS were never defined for this? Please advise *.no disc to try this.
Ive managed to get it to load the office by changing the settings via safe mode, but with a full restore (some missing drivers, IE the sound card), it always seems to be filled with questions. It runs terribly slow now and still doesn't let me do half of what I need to do to restore its former glory.
at the present time, this will make a nice door stop or decoration of the table such that it cannot serve to something else other than to gather dust.
does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this problem that began after I installed the latest update of windows 7, 2 days ago.
Try this:
To access the system recovery environment in Windows 7, simply start your PC, just before the system loads the Windows operating system. Press the [F8] key function 8 on your keyboard which will launch the menu Advanced Boot Options. You will see a new option "Repair your computer", select this option and press 'Enter' on your keyboard.
This will allow you to start system recovery environment and access to the same tools.

How to extend the system partition of Windows server 2008 for free?
my windows server 2008 r2 system works really slow, I'm extending the system partition. I tried windows built-in disk management, but after releasing the free space disk d: I cant just add for the c: drive, I can not move its position. I understand that Oracle, in the execution of a SQL statement, sometimes automatically generates objects SQL not explicitly created by the user. One such example is with table in pipeline defined functions to return a collection type of PL/SQL (as opposed to SQL): in this case, Oracle will automatically create an equivalent SQL collection type for the PL/SQL collection type.
