    You must order a set of recovery disc for the computer from the manufacturer - this will install the appropriate drivers for your system automatically, as well as packaged applications.

    If you have not formatted the disk (or replaced) existing partition recovery may still be present - see your manual for details.

    Try a system restore before it happened. You can use the SafeMode if necessary - several times
    as you start, press F8.

  • Satellite L755D-S5104 - does not know what the problem

    I keep a L755D-S5104.
    AMD A6 3420 M with Radeon 6520G
    4 GB of Ram
    500 GB hard drive.

    The problem with my laptop recently is that I am getting i/o device error (WriteToDisk) errors thus the laptop hangs / crashes with a screen of jibberish/sand-of looking.

    So far, I got error screen with my PC as well before and I'm pretty sure it's because of the unstable driver for video/chipset. I solved as before with the installation of older drivers (but for my laptop, I can't find a choice of versions)

    I don't know if my hard drive is the cause which as well (due to the error WriteToDisk) since mainly these two errors occur at the same time. Maybe my drive is in good health, but the video/chipset driver is causing the problem?

    My laptop temperatures are normal and there is no noisy fan noise etc.

    HDTune bad block scan displays the status of my drive HARD 100% OK but the chkdsk /r utility accidents near about 45000/67000 (screen white/jibberish causes), also, I have attached my laptop HARD drive to my computer and run the chkdsk utility it without error.

    I don't know what to do? Given that I've hardly know his choice of drivers for S5104. The error started to appear since the last two days and before that my laptop was perfectly fine.

    On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is. What you can try is to do some tests and, as I see you do this very well.
    Try to get the new HARD drive and install original recovery image on it and to experiment with the settings and clean the preinstalled OS. If you do this thanks for posting comments.

    By the way: all the drivers, you should be able to find on http://support.toshiba.com/drivers
    Just put Satellite L755D-S5104 from here and you will get the list of all available drivers.

  • OfficeJet 4650: Can not know what connection type to use for my OfficeJet 4650.

    OK, I'm very "technically challenged" here, so bear with me.  I had a HP Deskjet 3454 and unplugged the connections between it and the tower. I thought that the same ports on the back of the old printer compatible with the new printer... ports would not be so.  There was also a small black adapter with a purple connection on one end and a connection of two pins at the other end on the old printer.  I don't know what to do with that and my new printer...  The instructions say "no USB cable included" and I don't know what to look for when I go to Best Buy.

    I have an ATT router connected to my computer, but no ports on this subject corresponds to nothing on the printer, so I don't think that I have a "wireless connection".

    You can see that I really don't know much about connections, good!   Help!  I had to USE MY PRINTER.  Thank you.

    I bought a black linear Recertified HP 17.3 "Pavilion 17-P047Cl PC laptop with processor of AMD A8-7050, hard memory of 8 GB, 1 TB and 8.1 of Windows of Walmart. I don't know that much about computers. But I know a little.  I picked up today and brought it home and started putting in place. I went through the first couple steps, and it is stuck on a screen that says ' almost ready don't shut down your PC "for over an hour now... What can I do? Is there something wrong with it? If I try to restart or something, which completely ruin it? I don't know what to do here. Any help is appreciated.

    I should also mention that there are no numbers or anything outside the laptop... I have no idea how to get more numbers to help you. Unless I remove the battery, who would have turned off the laptop. And I think those are just the numbers of the battery?

    There could be traces of Java on the computer, you can download Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility and uninstall all traces of Java which is present on the computer.

    (a) what operating system do you use?

    Method 1:

    Adjust display settings

    Many recent Microsoft games require a card video and monitor that can run a resolution of at least 800 x 600 in color (16 bit). Set the resolution of Windows display on 800 x 600 in color (16 bit), and then test the game. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. in Windows XP, click Start, point to settings and then click Control Panel.
    In Windows Vista, click on start to reduce this includes personalization thtype in the Search box and then click on personalization in the programs list.

    2. in Windows XP, double-click display.
    In Windows Vista, click display settings.

    3. click on the settings tab.

    4. move the slider of the desktop area or screen area slider to 800 x 600 pixel definition.

    5. in the Color Palette box or in the color box, click colors (16 bit).

    6. click OK and then click OK again.

    7. click Yes to accept the setting.

    Method 2:

    Adjust graphics hardware acceleration

    To adjust graphics hardware acceleration, use the method described for the operating system that you use:

    ·         Windows Vista

    1. click on start to reduce this includes this ima, type personalization in the Start Search box, and then click personalization in the list of programs .

    2. click on display settings.

    3. click on Advanced settings.

    4. click the Troubleshooting tab, and then click change settings.

    2. double-click on display.

    3. on the settings tab, click Advanced.

    4. click on the Troubleshooting tab.

    5. move the notches on both Hardware Acceleration slider to the left of full (the turn off all cursor and advanced drawing accelerations setting).

    6. click OK and then click OK again.

    7. test the game.

    Method 3:

    Check or turn on Direct 3D

    To check or turn on Windows XP Direct3D acceleration, follow these steps:

    1. click on Start, click run, type dxdiag , and then click OK.

    2. on the display tab, verify that all DirectX features are enabled. If all the features are disabled, click enable next to the feature.
    Note If some DirectX features are unavailable, verify that your video card meets the minimum requirements.

  • I've been playing with services.msc now I can't download anything and I do not know what services allows the download

    im sure it is a result of deactivation and activation of services, I was also a lot so just trying to figure out which are useless and I can't run restore system or something like that, I just need help so that I can download an anti virus and updates, so the download controls? If anyone has any ideas for me that does not involve downloading something else, or the copying of files from drive of windows or putting forms those are all out of the question.

    even when services are basic, only 3 services are enabled, and I can't even access the internet, so I just need to know what essential services are Internet ONLY.

    Link to PML is a good thing. But, really, almost any PC is certainly capable of running all services by default with no performance hit.

    To repair the damage you have done, run system restore to get the best results.
