Hi, Im just about to upgrade to windows 10

IM about to upgrade to windows 10 but understand there were issues, install the latest Lightroom, could you tell me if these have been fixed, and if not is there any corrective in the line?

My experience with the upgrade to Windows 10 has been a good thing. I did an upgrade installation, not a clean install. After the level is complete Lightroom, Photoshop and all my other apps worked normally. No problem whatsoever. Since I installed an SSD, in replacement of my old C drive that contains all my programs. I always find everything works as expected with no problems.

Hello, I have a laptop Asus G46VW supplied with Windows 8 is installed, he showed some software problems related lately I decided to format it, one of my problems was that I couldn't go to 8.1 of the store, so I think to initiate an ISO 8.1 in a flash and fresh installation 8.1 formatted hard disk drive , my question is: If the Activation Code for 8/8.1 is in the BIOS if I start a new 8.1 installation on my laptop it will read it and activate 8.1 correctly or I have to format the laptop on 8 and upgrade them to 8.1 via the shop, because it would be pretty boring.

    Hello

Before you do anything, remember to create any media which is available from the manufacturer of the computer...

    Just in case.

You shouldn't need to format anything... If you use recovery options of the manufacturer or discs, which will take care of everything... It will overwrite all the old stuff...

You have to do a lot of updates before moving on to Win 8.1...

Just KB2871389, or even KB2917499... All others will be included in the update...

  • Just did the upgrade of Windows 10. Think I need drivers for ACER ASPIRE 5552?

    Hi guys

I'm helping a friend get his ACER ASPIRE 5552 work fine with Windows 10.

We took a bet that the W7 to W10 upgrade would be ok, but we hit a few glitches to overcome.

We want to back up as soon as possible once it working properly.

    1.

Can anyone tell me please where I can get the right driver for Ethernet and WifI because wifi now seems to work fine.

    2.

But there are ALSO all the other drivers who have updated the 5552 have found it necessary to download and install - for example Chipset, sounds, etc...?  .... Of course, it makes sense that ask us those who've already done...

    3.

In addition, she has a HP printer, which now does not seem to communicate. I guess we have to go to the site of HP and DOWNLOAD - except - are there known problems?

Thanks in advance for any help guys

    > We took a gamble that the W7 to W10 upgrade would be ok >

Agreed. Now, I suggest that you first check the Win10 Device Manager and note devices and models numbers that seem to have problems. Because the laptop has more working network adapters, you must do a google search from another computer for updated Win10 drivers that you can download for each device problem. For some systems, this can be a long and formidable process. If it were mine, I would upgrade to Win 7 as fast as I could.

  • Windows Vista does not start. I can just buy the upgrade to Windows 7 to fix this or do I have to purchase the full version of Windows 7?

    update helps... Difficulty helps lol

I have vista Home premium, but does not start it tells me to put my disk installation and repair process. can I buy windows7 upgrade or should I buy the full version, I'm not going to do...? I got my pc checked thourghly and everything is running perfect

Please use the Vista system repair and recovery forum to fix your departure upward.

Yes, as long as Vista is still installed on the hard drive you can use a copy of Windows 7 upgrade to upgrade your computer but you will need to boot the computer with the Windows 7 dvd and perform a custom installation.  Which will remove all your programs and data so there will be very practical backups.

The best option is to repair Vista first.

Before dismiss you the idea of buying a copy of the full license of Windows 7, remember that it would be transferable to a new computer much more easily that an upgrade copy is.

  • Recently bought a laptop computer; A few questions about the offer Upgrade to Windows 8

I have a few questions about the Upgrade of Windows 8 offer for new computers.  I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite S855-S5268 of amazon.com, which came with Windows 7 Home Premium.  Toshiba already has a beta version of drivers and utilities for Windows 8 for the S855 on their Web site.

    (1) I bought my laptop in July of this year, and I've not yet registered for 8 Windows Upgrade offer with Microsoft.  Am I still eligible to receive the upgrade, if I sign up soon?
    (2) if I buy the upgrade through this offer, I'll be able to download an ISO file so I can burn the installation media, or do I need to upgrade to Windows 7?
    (3) if I will be able to burn the installation media, I'll be able to erase my hard drive and do a clean install of Windows 8 (which I'd rather do, I have a lot of backups of my data).  I am aware that I would probably need to provide my product key Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM during the new installation, because it is an upgrade and not a full version; This isn't a big deal, because my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM product key is stuck at the bottom of my laptop.
    (4) my current copy of Windows 7 is activated by seeing my BIOS (I have a traditional BIOS, not a UEFI).  If I had to switch to Windows 8 and decide then I'd rather back in Windows 7, for example, a few months later, I'll be able to do that (I burned recovery of Windows 7 with the Toshiba utility disks, which I did), and Windows 7 will continue to activate by seeing my BIOS, even after the installation (and later remove) Windows 8?
    Thank you very much!

Yes, the registration period is between June 2, 2012 to January 31, 2013.
    (2) if I buy the upgrade through this offer, I'll be able to download an ISO file so I can burn the installation media, or do I need to upgrade to Windows 7?

Yes, the Upgrade Wizard of Windows 8 will allow you to create a bootable DVD or you can grab the ESD file and save it.

Yes and there are better ways to reinstall Windows 8 without using the installation disc, you can use the reset and refresh.

These steps will take you through refreshing your PC:

    · Press the Windows key + C on your keyboard to show the charms (if you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and drag your finger to the left)

    · Click settings

    · Click change PC settings

    · Click general in the left column

    · Under refresh your PC without affecting your files, click Start

Then follow the instructions that will be provided on-screen to cool your PC.

As long as you have a recovery disk which you should create or use the construction in the recovery partition, Yes, it will self activate.

  • fans of slow sometimes, windows, upgrades to windows 7

fans or fan in the computer runs very fast. Did just disconnect it and put a fan by computer. has helped. I watch a lot of video news and stuff from You Tube current events to listen to and download a lot of music. You want to upgrade to windows 7. Or it upgrades that will help. PC is Dell Dimension E521. I added 2 GB memory for entire base upward. Computer past Dell Pc Check up and all defragments, removable disk, control programs have been made.

Have you turned off all the dust and debris from all of the housing of the computer (not just the ones where are fans)?

Make sure that all the fans and other grills are well away from obstacles such as coatings and offices.

The computer fans are meant to be performed as internal components would be also excessively hot. However, you should get concerned if:

-the fans start to run faster than ever before without apparent reason, or

-fans are beginning to make a different sound - this may indicate wear of bearings, fan or fan of pallets damage or

-your computer started crashing regularly - especially if its during heavy CPU/GPU or after set periods of use of cold, start or

-any monitoring of speed of the integrated fan/temperature displays all changes.

When you talk about the upgrade to Windows 7, which is a separate issue to the issue of fan?

  • Upgrade to Windows 7 on the laptop brand new

I just bought a refurbished HP/entertainment (DV7 - 1243CL) laptop, Vista Home Premium, 4gigs ram, 360g hd, AMD Turion X 2 Dual - Core Mobile RM-72.  I got home and was on the net when I discovered that I was eligible for Windows 7 Upgrade.  My question is about the upgrade of Windows 7; If I update, I always will be all programs preloaded at the time where I update?  I didn't really set up anything that I can not reinstall because I'm waiting for the upgrade.  But I would like to have all the programs that came already on the laptop... like MediaSmart, etc.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you to each and every one.

Your specific error message (failure of the API online store [error: 0x803d0013.]) requires agents that specialize in ESD.

Can I use the Vista license that I have just upgraded to windows 7 Upgrade a computer is currently using XP?

Can I use the Vista license that I have just upgraded to windows 7 Upgrade a computer is currently using XP?

Lol when you upgrade you send upwards with a license, not two. The license of Vista is subsumed in Windows 7 one and can no longer be used. This is the reason for which an upgrade is cheaper than licensed full.
