  I suggest that you try the methods mentioned below and check if that helps.

  Method 1: Uninstall and reinstall the USB controller

  (a) click Start, type devmgmt.msc in the start search box, and then click Enter. Device Manager opens.

  (b) expand Bus USB controllers.

  (c) right-click the first USB controller under Bus USB controllers and then click on uninstall to remove it.

  (d) repeat for each controller USB is listed under Bus USB controllers.

  (e) restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically check for changes on the hardware and reinstall all USB controllers that you uninstalled.

  Check the USB device to see if it works.

  Had trouble with t430 a colleague. It is impossible to connect to the WiFi unless the battery is removed and then reinserted. Once connected WiFi is strong and reliable. This seems to have started a few weeks without any notice. I think of a power setting? I also tried to replace the battery and the same problem.   Hello. I use XP SP3 with all post-SP3 updates critical. Windows Media Player 9 does not work. When I try to reinstall, I'm stuck: the 9xmigrat.dll of file on (unknown) you need to type the path where the file is located and then click ok. I like WMP9 and do not want to use a newer version of WMP. I was not able to find 9xmigrat.dll

  This happens when I try installing to wmp.inf.

  If I try to install the MPSetupXP.exe, it does not either.

  Thank you, David. It seems that the problem was caused by incorporating the updates for WMP9 using nLite. I made another CD of installation excluding these updates. A clean install of XP SP3 and WMP9 is working. Thank you for your response.

  Hi, Shada, this can happen if you include additional installers to your installer for example DAQmx. When you do this the installation program must include other files like MAX (Measuremente and Automation Explorer). Probably when you installed Vision Builder he updated MAX, so when your Installer try to understand MAX, his request the source where it was installed in your computer in this case Vision Builder.

  Here you can cache information so it is not asked once again, or you can download a version more recent fo DAQmx, then it will update MAX and change the dependecy.

  I am about to receive an Inspiron 17 7000, but because of my location, it was only possible to buy a system with version 8.1 of Windows Pro in Dutch only. I want only one interface in English on the laptop, so I guess I have two choices

  (1) get it operational and then install the English language pack. And never use the Dutch user interface yet ;-)

  (2) complete re-install with Windows 8.1 Pro English. I have access to a license (I have a Microsoft MSDN subscription) so it's not a problem. But some time ago I did it and I just start reading on Secure Boot UEFI and so on. And more important still, I wonder if that mess up my warranty/maintenance somehow?

  For simplicity, I'm tempted by the first option. But limitations or restrictions compared to the second?

  Appreciate any suggestions?

  It would be much easier that you just install the English language pack.

  For a better understanding of the question, I would like to know what the full error message?

  This problem could occur if the language pack is not completely uninstalled. Try the steps listed here and see if it helps.

  Method 1 :
  To ensure that the English language pack is completely uninstalled, I suggest you try the following steps.

  a. Swipe in the right edge of the screen, tap settings, and then tap Change PC settings.

  b. press or click on the time and languageand then press or click on region and language.

  c. Select the language pack that you want to Uninstall and click Remove.

  Method 2:
  Now to download the English Language Pack, I suggest you to return the item and check if it helps.

  Note: Make sure you use a user administrator account to perform these steps.
