"Hibernate" mode

I recently had my computer fixed upward, but when I came back, I couldn't put it in "Hibernate".
mode as I used it all the time instead of put it in "Sleep" or "stop".

In the bottom box that offers a choice between these modes, "Hibernate" is not yet listed.  Is that a problem of Windows or Microsoft deliver?

Hi Paul,.

Hibernation may have been totally disabled. The first thing to do is to try the following: http://www.winuser.co.uk/windows_vista_faq/55_add_hibernation_option_to_shutdown_menu.html

If these intructions to my site Web not to make the tour then try the reactivation of hibernation using the following instructions from my Web site: http://www.winuser.co.uk/windows_vista_faq/05_disable_hibernation.html follow the insturction in the section "to enable hibernation.

As you have indicated that you recently had your computer 'set to top' my guess is that whoever listens in disabled hibernation.

I know that if there is a failure of memory the * power indicator * flashes repeatedly on and off the power (0.5 sec) if there is an error in the slot A the indicator would blink twice in orange, and then green.
If there is an error in the B slot, the LED will Flash orange and green twice.

    Hello

Maybe you should enable hibernation, first:
    Do this:
-Start CMD (control box) in search, type CMD and press ENTER
    -Type powercfg /Hibernate + it +.
-Close the box and go to Advanced Power Options
-In advanced options to sleep, expand the sleep tree and disable standby hybrid.
-Now go back to the start menu and you will see the new entry into hibernation.

When I wake up the computer in "sleep" or "hibernate" mode, only the photo Office rises, not the icons, so I have to restart with a hard off every time.  What can I do?

Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE and bring up the Task Manager > move in process > select Explorer > end task and it will restart and if all goes well it will bring to the top of your screen properly.

Your computer is completely up-to-date with all the updates?

Note I'm not a fan of setting hibernation or sleep a computer there, it can sometimes lead to problems (as you see)

  • Impossible to use the system in sleep or Hibernate mode after installing a new video card

Have a card GeForce 6200 graphics with latest drivers installed and now I can't use the features of standby or Hibernate mode in Windows Xp System.

This seems straight - Stand By and Hibernate will usually be available if the video drivers are not updated.

For your NVIDIA GeForce card, I would do this:

The best way to reinstall the NVIDIA software is to visit the NVIDIA support web page and let your system and to recommend the best software for your system... or you can find the correct version of the software on their web page and download the latest package of video driver for your system software and install it yourself.

It is recommended to run the scan NVIDIA with Internet Explorer.

Here is the link to the support page NVIDIA for the scan:
    http://www.nvidia.com/download/Prescan.aspx?lang=en-us

Read the instructions, and then click the GRAPHICS DRIVERS button to start the scan.

Let online to take a look at your video system scanner them and see what he suggests for drivers and consider their analysis if they offer a new pilot.

When you have done, you can add a fourth "Hibernate" button to your menu to shut down the computer to prevent you from pressing the Shift key to Hibernate (which is good for lazy people like me).

I have a problem with my 2530p elitebook but I do not know how to solve it, please give me your suggestion. Here's the question:

After placing the computer into sleep or Hibernate mode, it seems quite dead. The keys that are supposed to wake the computer have no effect. When I press the button to wake up the LEDs light up and the fans turns on but the screen remains black. Finally, I have to stop it using the switch, then start it again. I am running XP.

I'm looking forward to your reply.

  • Need to reset the NIC wireless through troubleshooting whenever I brought back from sleep mode or Hibernate mode?

    My system information:
-Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Version 6.1.7600 Build 7600
    -Toshiba Satellite A505
    -PC x 64
    -Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 @ 2.20 GHz 2200 Mhz 2 carrots 2 logical processors
    -Version/date bios: Insyde 1.70, 15/09/2009
    -smbios version 2.4

    The adapter information:
Connection to the local network - Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller, updated all drivers, since I'm connected wireless but I guess it says "network cable is unplugged" is normal.

Wireless network - Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless Lan 802.11n PCI-E NIC, put to update the drivers. It is disconnected, but disabled right out of the standby mode.

Wireless network connection 2 - Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter, drivers updated. I've never installed it... or something... so I don't know why it's here, or what he does. This disappears when I put in sleep or Hibernate mode and then resume, but reappears after a repair. No matter what he always seems to say no 'connected '.

    Problem:
Whenever I brought back from sleep mode or Hibernate mode, my internet connection is cut off. Trying to connect to my router, I have an error message and invites me to troubleshoot. I allow the computer to troubleshoot and it resets my wireless adapter, which allows everything to work once more. I ran an ipconfig/all using a Hibernate once and it seems that everything is disabled just before I run troubleshooting... "media disconnected". It is not a huge problem of having to run whenever I resume a session, but it's a boring troubleshooting.

    Failure of solutions:
Updated all the drivers, when all drivers are always updated
Disable "Allow the computer turn off the device" tab of power for all 3 cards, at the moment it is always disabled
Disable ipv6 on all cards, at this time, it is always disabled.

    Interesting facts:
"Microsoft virtual wifi miniport card knows driver or hardware related problems.
This came after one of the sessions of troubleshooting... What is the microsoft virtual wifi miniport...?

Sorry if I did not provide the correct information to help solve my problem... just tell my something else I should add :)

I had the same problem on my laptop computer l500 do not know why it does this, but it was the case I have reactivated "Allow the computer turn off the device" tab power supply for my wireless adapter and it seems to work again.

I think it worked because he wasn't let go out properly when I slept I hope laptop that yours is just as easy to fix

  • Pavilion g6-1d21dx: long time driver or BIOS on Pavilion g6-1d21dx number may not resume from sleep mode or Hibernate mode

When my g6-1d21dx Pavilion was still fairly new, Windows 7 has started to hang whenever I tried to resume from standby or hibernation, and I couldn't get back to work until I held the power button down to force the computer to restart.

Now, I did a clean install of Windows 32-bit 10, and everything works fine, except for - big surprise - repeated from the previous day and hibernation. Windows 10 adds quick start to the mixture, which also does not work properly, probably because it's a similar feature.

HP already explained the cause of this problem, or provided a fix? The BIOS I have is F.49, but the projection of BIOS newer on the product page is a F.48. Maybe I need to reduce my BIOS? I saw a post where someone has talked to return to F.46 to fix very similar if not same problem on another model of Pavilion g6. In any case, anyone who is familiar with this issue?

    More details:

If the quick start is activated, whenever I put him computer have a BSOD and reboot. Usually, the error is unexpected_store_exception but I also had kernel_data_inpage_error a couple of times. The computer appears in the standby mode and Hibernate successfully, but when I try to resume it turns his wheels for a little while and then just restarts, usually without error message. For the moment, I have quick start disabled and sleep and Hibernate in my power options.

    Thanks for any relevant information.

The solution for me was to install F.46 revision of the BIOS. I got F.49, and the latest version available on the support site is a F.48. I don't know if there is a downside to this...

  • System will not go into sleep mode or Hibernate mode

I have my laptop set to this mode on battery power:

Turn off monitor: after 5 minutes
Turn off hard disks: after 10 minutes
    Standby: after 15 minutes
    Hibernate: after 30 minutes

However, I don't know if the system goes to sleep, if the hard disks are turned off or hibernate if she is asleep. This sequence will actually happen? Or should I only select one of them (according to the monitor) and let others like ever (except for the screen)?

  • XPS cannot switch to standby or Hibernate mode

    Hello

I saw a similar post here, but I couldn't solve the problem...

My Dell Studio XPS 13 has a strange problem:

When I close the screen (it closes down), the computer is not enter standby or hibernation mode, and rather that the screen turns black. 'normal' in the keyboard lights stays on and lights side indicate that the computer is running always full power. You can say that on hearing the noise of ordinary fan.

Trying to put it to sleep by start = > sleep/hibernate - the same thing happens - computer still works but the screen goes black.

Basically, therefore it is blocked until I forced closure (by the close button).

Should I update the BIOS? would it be useful?

    I use windows 7.

    Thank you...

    Hello

pass under the office-> Rightclick-> Screensaver-> power management.

Here you can activate the hibernation and I think there must be a point was that you can activate the sleep mode (may be it is useful if you are installing your Toshiba tools).
