Hi jasmine,

Method 1:
You can run a full scan of the computer by using the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if this solves the problem. For more information, see the following link:
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note:
data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.
Method 2:
Download and run the fixit tool from the link below:
Diagnose and automatically repair Windows files and records issues.

    rhl_yadav,

It is IMPORTANT that you do not delete these files. They are very important to the operating system.

    Instead, you can hide:

    • Open the Options folder by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, appearance and personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
    • Click the view tab.
    • Under Advanced settings, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" and "Hide protected operating system files ' are not checked, and then click OK.

I can't modify my files hidden in the default folders. They are all gray! I ran antivirus programs and who did not work! Please advise!

What do you mean by "default folders"?

Give an example of a hidden folder that you want to change.

In general, you can remove the attribute "hidden" right-clicked on a file, select 'Properties' and unchecking 'hidden '.  Do not pay attention to the 'read only' box for folders.  It does not mean what you think it means.

  • What is "c: / program hidden folder files/Windows apps and why I can't access it?"

    Hey there,

Make certain to play and ran through the hidden folder mentioned in the title. There is one account of course on our Surface, full administrator access and I was wondering what it is and why I can't access it. When I try to access the folder, I get the following:

"You don't have currently not allowed access to this folder. Click on continue permanent access to this folder. »

Then, like a good boy, I click on continue and...

"You have been denied permission to access this folder."

But wait... I can click on a link hyper to the Security tab, Ok...

"You must have read permissions to view the properties of this object. Click Advanced to continue. »

    Don't panic!

"You must have read permissions to view the properties of this object. Click on continue retrying with administrative permissions. »

    Okey Dokey!

Takes me of course to features advanced security where it is said the owner of the folder is "Trusted Installer" and "directors" shows correctly with the settings read and execute access to this folder, subfolders and files.

Can someone please clarify what this file is for and why there is a folder on my RT Surface that I can't access?

    Thanks for reading,

    To do this >

Open CMD as mentioned above write this >

    TAKEOWN /F "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps" r d Y

(Whit quote... better to copy paste... only he)

that way, you'll see hundreds >

Success: the file (or folder): XXX blah blah blah

    and wait, it stops.

    then again type this >

    ICACLS "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps" / grant administrators: F/t

You may see nothing... a moment... then... .boooooom :D

After that, you will see something like: the files successfully treated XXXXX; Treatment failure 0 files

If its exactly like this "failed processing 0 files" then your done good... and go have fun

Thanks to Lydia Rohit... I just corrected the mistake on his part (cuz paths of Pentecost of spaces need quotes)

(After having done all that, you cannot get change permissions... fix too copy the file in the other place, modify, delete the first file and then add your file modified in the folder)

  • Hidden files problem

While selecting the option "Show the hidden files and folders" in Folder Options, hidden files appear again and again, the option button is shown against "do not show hidden files" or folders. Please, help me to solve this problem.

Are you logged in with administrator rights?  You can always make changes by logging on as administrator in safe mode to make this change.

Go to start, Control Panel, Folder Options, view, advanced settings and check the box in front of "show files and folders" and 'Hide protected operating system files' are unchecked. You may need to scroll down to see the second element. You should also make sure that the box before "Hide extensions of known file types" is not checked.  Then in Windows Explorer make sure that view, details is selected and then click view, choose details and check before the name, Type, size, free space.

  • Is there a way to regain control of a hidden folder system protected (as Content.IE5)

    The folder is:
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5

Some time ago I changed the permission of the highest folder 'decline '. There are 3 under "group or user names", they are "SYSTEM" and "username" (myself) and "Administrator", I changed all permissioins to the title of these 3 'Decline'. "."

Now I want to regain control or 'tick' the box 'Decline', but the problem is that the file is hidden and protected system folder so it appears under the "Temporary Internet Files" folder, the only way to access this folder is to type the full path in the path bar (don't know officially what it's called) , but since I have change permissions on 'Decline', when I type in the full path, the only thing I got is "Access denied" popup window.

So how to solve this problem?

My system is windows 7 64 bit ultimate

PS. If you want to know why I change the permission, its because Avast detects a virus in this file, "JS:ScriptPE - inf [Trj]".  I want to temporarily stop the infection (at least that is what I was hoping) while I do a full system scan (and Avast found nothing)

Otherwise, try the path of command line... Takeown and ICacls commands. See ICacls help, you can use the parameter "/ delete" to remove the entries of "deny".

  • Unable to display which are hidden folder

I installed windows 7 ultimate on my computer and avast antivirus. my folders are hidden wherever I got them hidden.
My problem is that I have 3 partition in 500 GB drive hard c, d, e
    1. where are hidden all files in drive E, none are visible by me
    2. in the drive D files are there but subfolders are hidden.
3 al ' C drive all the folders and subfolders are visible.
What could be the problem I can't and unable to solve the problem, maybe some viruses also?
strange but true, could you please help me?

There is an option to access hidden folders.  Click Start-> computer-> organize-> folder and search options.  Then click the view tab.  On the 6th in the list entry it controls whether you can see hidden files, folders and drives.  A couple of entries to the bottom also controls you can see "protected operating system files".  You can set these to give you the control you want, but be aware that when you access a system of files and folders, you have the power to make Windows unusable, so be very careful!

    Good luck.

  • Unlock the hidden folder?

    Hello again

    Merry Christmas from Oz!

Thanks to all who helped me with my installation problems. A new laptop i7 & your help solved the problems.  I have started using PE8 and burned my 1st DVD and I am very pleased, however, my PE8 comes only with the models and the limited menu options. I checked the installation disc and it has only a few features.

So I downloaded the Adobe PE8 content installation program and were able to unzip files. It has two HD files for the menu and models. It's here, I've stuck and hope you can enlighten us once again!

I managed to do two things:

1 extract models in Adobe PE8\DVD C:\Progam files, and

    C:\Progam Adobe PE8\DVD topics.

All files seem to be... hidden and locked! You cannot see the folders view in general, but you can if you save something else and 'see' the locked files. Q: how is - a opens folders?

    2. I copied the template files and the theme of another decompression program and recorded in their respective folders C:\Progam Adobe PE8\DVD models and C:\Progam Adobe PE8\DVD topics. Everything seems to be there, but when I open the software, it does not pick up there.

    THX

    Joe

You don't need to unzip the downloaded file. You should have two files. The smallest has .exe and the largest .7z

Place both files in the same folder (for example, c:\temp) and run the smaller file. It will automatically install additional content.

    See you soon,.

  • connection Wi - Fi 10 hidden iOS problem

    Hello

In our company, we manage different iPhone models (5-7) and iPad (iPad mini via iPad Pro). After that iOS 10 upgraded, particularly iPhone 5 s devices have begun to forget the hidden SSID networks. Devices not reconnect to the hidden network until the Wi - Fi connection profile is pressed by MDM or SSID information is entered manually the Wi - Fi settings. Although after this action, the devices automatically forget network hidden after a day or two.

Restarting the device, reset the network settings or factory, reset to solve the problem for a few days, but problems happen again. Not to mention that we have over 10 k iOS devices, we cannot tell all these solutions.

We believe that this is a bug in the iOS 10 (because iOS devices 9 do not have this problem), and Apple should fix this in the next version.

I have this same problem and on an iPhone running iOS 10.0.2 5s. Unfortunately, I burned through my month of data value before realizing it. I did not scientific tests, but it seems to me that he forgets my hidden SSID once I join another network. When I return to the location of my hidden SSID, the iPhone does not join and I have to enter the name of the SSID and password to reconnect.

  • Please check once more! Access denied when I tried to do my hidden folder not hidden.

So I did one of my folders - one with all my important data hidden. I can see the folder in the F-drive(where i saved it), but I cannot perform all the functions in this regard. I tried to change the attributes to no hidden, but every time I try I get the message error " is not accessible. Access denied» I am logged on as administrator... I NEED to recover the folder to normal because ALL my files and important documents are in this folder. Please PLEASE help!

I made a stupid mistake! I use windows XP, No 7...
I also tried the system restore. I can now open the main folder and all subfolders and files are still inaccessible...

    Hello

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community!

I understand that you are unable to view a folder it says access denied.

    Please answer these questions:

    1. don't you set security permissions on this file?

2 have you made any changes to the computer before the show?

Allow to refuse has precedence over the permissions, so if you accidentally clicked the box "Refuse" in security options, you may have removed your ability to edit the file in some way.  And since you are the administrator, it means that you will not be able to delete the folder at all.

At this point, your best bet is to try to take ownership of a file and then change the permissions.

    See the following article:

Appropriating a file or a folder:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753659.aspx

Hope the helps of information. Don't answer if you need assistance, we will be happy to help you.
