hide unwanted updates
I would like to know how to hide an update that has already been installed. There is no box to hide an update. Also if I don't want an update that is offered to appear continuously updated optional, how I delete it from the list of available updates? There is no option in my windows update window to do one of these things. Vista Home Premium operating system.
In the list of available updates, place your mouse on the update that you want to hide, right-click, then choose 'hide '. You must be logged in as an administrator or have an administrator password to do so.

Is there a way to hide several updates?
In Vista and upward, it is possible to tick/check/select several updates. What's the point if you can't actually choose to hide unwanted language packs 34 etc.?
Click Start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window
> then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In addition, on the page where you clicked "Installed updates", click on change settings at the top left corner it
> Change update settings in the next page of AutoUpdate to "check for updates but let me choose etc" > OK ".
When you take a look at pending updates, you can either download them one at a time
> or if you do not need an individual > right-click on > UAC prompt > hide it
Hello
You can hide the update, and then Windows Update won't it offer you again unless you choose to restore it. Here's how to hide an update:
Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then in the list of results, click Windows Update.
Do one of the following:
Click the link that tells you important updates are available if you have some updates to hide.
Click the link that tells you optional updates are available if you have optional updates to hide.
Select an update that you want to hide, right-click, and then click Hide update. Do this for each update you want to hide.
Click OK.
