High load on the DNS lookups strange made BBNTD

I don't know if there is a bug report area (I have to confess I always get lost on this site - between BB and Quest, but that's for another day), but I see some very crazy behaviors of one of my installations of BBPE. I'm still running v4.4 (access to builds more returned was one of my many problems with taken BB - a site for hours chatting with someone - again, for another day), but my config remained relatively unchanged for some time, but recently, I have been see a lot of testing side purple server will year it corresponds with a heavy load of CPU on BBNTD - almost 60% on a Server 2 processors with 3 GB of RAM. The server is 2008 R2 with all the patches. When I drilled down, I saw a large number of packets DNS targeting the DNS server (flooding the server DNS - something like 750 packets per second). Queries seem to be for a part of the name. All my internal machines are in the DNS netway.priv space, but queries are for y.priv and y.priv.netway.priv, again and again in order. The DNS server sends responses without a name such as one might imagine.

I can provide the config files and wireshark capturing traffic, but there seems to be a parse error, perhaps for a nonprintable character or something. The last thing I did to the system was to allow and to start using the web - host configuration editor. This may have introduced a problem or it would be completely different.

At the present time, my server is useless noctilucence, because it shows stale random tests more than actual errors. BBPE and BBBTF have been quite reliable, as I am unaware of any troubleshooting tools available to the attention of implementers. Is there a way to put BB server logging mode or debug? Can someone tell me how can solve this problem. I'm reduced to systematically change the bbhosts file to try to isolate the problem. I am trying to turn off all DNS queries for devices in the namespace my, using testip and no conn, but even if it works, it is not acceptable in the long term.

Advice or guidance would be appreciated.

Hi Jim,.

I understand your frustration, but I've never seen that happen before (I thought at first, but when you bring DNS queries, then it was something new, at least for me). And as there is no ticket open with Quest (at least to my knowledge), it is difficult to debug without access or data from the facility.

At this point, I strongly suggest an opening with Quest support call. If you have purchased licenses BBPE, you are entitled to it. This site is a community where it's more of the "how can I" or "where can I" type of questions. When it comes to questions like yours, if after one or two responses, the problem cannot be resolved, it is better to contact quest support (as I suggested). It will probably find its way to me. And I'll be happy to work with you to resolve the issue.

    That's the question Audit Message scheduled task that is running to process the events in the aud_jms table.  You can reduce the burden by lowering the level of verification, or by changing the amount of files being processed.

    Looks like you are having network connectivity problems or if you connect to a network with problems.

    First of all, make sure that your computer is connected to a network with internet access with success, by checking the cable network (ethernet) - is - it connected correctly? If you do not use a network cable, make sure that your wireless connection is connected to the appropriate network.

    If you're still having problems after checking the physical connection, try to run Windows Network Diagnostics. Make a right click on the network of small size or icon wireless near the clock (bottom right of the screen by default), and then click "solve problems". This wizard will search for and attempt to correct any network, connectivity issues.

    Chrome, for example, does not perform a DNS lookup if the entry is not a valid Web site, instead, it searches in the default search engine.

    I think that if the bar URL have behaved in a similar way, it would increase by many user experience. I really like Firefox and using it for a few years, but these are things that really annoy me as a developer.

    The one big flaw that I find in the Chrome version of manages the entrances to bar URL is that one cannot add custom Chrome of top level domains, which makes working with top level domain websites internal quite annoying.

    I use a Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.

    I just have a modem and use a router. I have a network cable (cat 5) connected to my laptop and the modem. I have log-on internet and it connects. But when I open Google Chrome, IE9 or Firefox I can not load a web page. Google mentions something about the DNS cannot be found and DNS_Probe_Finished_No Internet.Frefox says server not found.

    I click on the Menu start - Connect To - I am logged in. I already typed my password in the command prompt and appropriate the pppoe connection/address (I use ADSL).

    I talked to my ISP and we tried to do certain things. But nothing works. On their end, it shows that I am connected. But I can't browse the internet. We tried to have the DNS and IP address for ipv4 set to obtain automatically and I put 2 numbers of DNS in manually once the settings have been changed to the favorite servers and DNS auxiliary, or worked.

    Using command prompt, the DNS has been emptied. It did not help. The modem has been reset the ISP location. I also recreated and set up a new network connection.

    My office is using the same pppoe information. I can freely browse the internet and I use Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I was also shown to be connected simultaneously with both machines, but that the Office can go.

    I do not have Windows Update the laptop since on April 2016. It has not been used and the battery was empty. I tried to turn off the laptop several times, but nothing works.

    Y at - it suggestions to solve this problem? At that time perhaps a re - install will work.

    System Restore worked. I will run the updates and see what happens.

    I think it was a program that I uninstalled in programs and features.

    Create a third name, call CAM and can be resolved to the IP Address of the Service. Generate your CSR for this.

    The same for CAs. The name must resolve to the IP Address of the service and you should get certificate for that name.

    The changes that I do is I did a clean install of Linux deleting all partitions including the HP recovery partition.

    Now that I have to go back to Windows, I used the recovery disks that I did when I bought the laptop. It took about 24 hours to completely install, then I got this error message when you restart.

    Best thing to do is to nuke the drive,then reinstall Vista again.

    I know it's a long process, but you should get back to run.

    Linux makes strange recovery partitions does not understand and they are deleted correctly, boot and nuke will take care of it.

  • Try to get data of almost static load of the 9234 module with IEPE sensors

    I am train to acquire data of load which should be essentially a function of the square wave loading. The current configuration I have is cDAQ 9234 on LV 8.5 module that I used to start a module of 9233, I had, but after looking for here and that it seemed to me that the 9234, with DC coupling, would allow me to gain the quasi-static load (the load is applied for 2.5 seconds) and not only the load change whenever the load has been applied or removed. So, now I have connected 9234 and I get almost no change in output regardless of whether I got DC or AC coupling selected in MAX. In addition, it always seems to be only to register the initial support change, as before - it's the biggest concern I have.

    I had previously configured as a voltage signal and just put across the entrance, which at least made me reasonable support changes when I used the 9233. I expect at least that I would see the same or similar values with the configured 9234 in AC mode. If anyone can shed some light on this I would be very happy.

    Both the sine part and the exponential decay are indications provide excitement from HQ or using a sensor that uses AC coupling.  Looking at the datasheet that you have linked and the site Web of Dytran, I can't determine if the load cell has any kind of internal coupling of AC.  I would recommend you contact Dytran and explain the behavior that you see a load constant to see if this is expected behaviour or not.  It is possible that the scale is intended primarily for transient or dynamic loading and was not supposed to measure static charges.  Let me know what you hear from Dytran and we can continue to resolve this.

  • Envy 17 t-K200: sudden computer failure - does not load, but the output of the AC charger is OK.

    Recently, I unplugged the power supply current to work elsewhere in the House.  When I reconnected the power running and left the computer had entered a deep sleep mode.  He did wake up, and I could go on until the task was completed.  Yet once I left the computer.  When I came back the screen was dark and I assumed that he had turned on the hibernation mode.  However he would not resume.  I checked the plug on the computer for the light, which would indicate that power is being supplied to the computer.  It was DARK.  Because the power supply is plugged into a power strip, I checked to make sure that the band was on.  The indicator light remains DARK.  I plugged in the power supply into a known powered outlet.  The indicator light remains DARK.  Using a voltmeter, I found that was good and the output at the end the power supply DC showed 19,88 volts C.C.  At this point, I assumed that the power Jack cable harness had broken somehow.

    Research of the internet, support HP and HP forum pages revealed no clear solution.  "I left a message on.

    20/06/16 but have had no answer at this time to propose a telephone conversation.

    Since then, I needed to have access to the information on the hard drive.  Removal of the hard drive means that the upper part of the computer had to be removed.  This gave access to the 'power Jack Cable Harness' and inspection at the end of the beam connection seems to be OK.  Visual inspection of the components gave no clear indication of the problem of overheating or else.

    I am at the limit of what I can see and need help.

    The computer is a HP Envy 17 t-K200 - 17.3 in laptop.  CPUI Intel i7-4720HQ.  The hard drive is 1 TB.  With 12 GB of RAM.  The SN is 6CF518162Z.  The machine is refurbished and is out of warranty as of February 16, 2016.

    Apparently, after running the tests on my computer the conclusion strongly implies a failed motherboard.  Attempts to locate a source of reference 793272-601 (preferred) or part number 793272-501 failed.  Therefore, it seems that I'll be compeled to use the service of repair of HP at a high cost.  The good is that it will be a 'huge' 90 day warranty.

    Check to see if the following is useful.

    Method 1: Disconnect all devices non-essential connected to the computer and restart. Check to see if it boots normally.

    Method 2: You may need to check the settings of the BIOS (Basic Input\Output System). Check if the hard drive is detected. If this is not the case, check the physical connections. Refer to the manual to check the same.

    It is the second system I've seen in the last two weeks with this question, I reloaded the OS on the first.  The system is Windows Vista Ultimate x 64.

    That is the problem.  Open Internet Explorer 9 on a Windows 7 PC, you get the message:

    Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage

    Click on diagnose connection problems, you get the following:

    The DNS server is not responding

    Look at a detailed information your told to contact your network administrator (this is me - no other XP or Windows 7 PC on the network has a connection problem).

    Below that is the message:

    Your computer is trying to use a DNS server that is incorrect or does not exist.

    Note that this is a laptop that has started on another network with the same problem.  I took it to my office to solve problems.  My DNS server is a WIndows SBS 2003 server.

    Below that is a log file of etl you cannot open (Notepad considers undesirable, much of the use that is).

    The steps I did to try to resolve the problem.

    Virus system scan

    There is no hosts file, I've recreated which.

    The static value IP and DNS.

    I can ping the DNS server by its IP address, but not by name.

    I put the DNS address to 208.67.222.222

    Restored network drivers

    Reininstalled all network drivers

    Disable Microsoft Virtual WiFi adapter

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

    I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

    Try to reset the DNS cache by using the following steps and check it, if it helps.

    a. Click Start, type cmd.exe in the start search box, right-click on CMD.exe and run as administrator.

    (b) in the command window, type the following and then press ENTER: ipconfig/flushdns

    c. you will see the following confirmation:

    Windows IP configuration

    With success, emptied the Cache of DNS resolution.

    Method 2:

    Try the following steps to release and renew the IP address and check if it helps.

    a. Click Start, type cmd.exe in the start search box, right-click on CMD.exe and run as administrator.

    (b) in the command window, type the following and then press ENTER:
    - enough ipconfig at the command prompt and of the press ENTER
    - ipconfig / renew in the command prompt and press ENTER

    c. check if the problem is resolved.
