• Years, I used iPhoto to edit my images-Lighten/Darken, sharpness, contrast, highlights/shadows points. Now since I upgraded to OS x 10.11, pictures replaced iPhoto. Photos seems to have very little editing tools. What options now? Lightroom?

  For years, I used iPhoto to edit my image - sharpness, contrast, highlights/shadows, Lighten/Darken points. Since the update to OSX 10.11, iPhoto has disappeared, replaced by pictures, which seems to have very little editing tools. I am disgusted. What are the options should I now? A friend suggested using Adobe Lightroom.

• Graduation filter and do not brush no option to change the color, highlights, shadows, noise, temperature, moire and defringe

  I just installed LR6. But when I use a graduated filter or brush, I don't have the option change more the following parameters (to be compared with the LR5): temperature, color, highlights, shadows, noise, moire and defringe. Is it possible to add these functionalies?

• Setting 2% 98% and Highlights shadows in the curves for Printing company

  Can anyone help? My company said selected print instructions:

  "To the halftone printing at their best, they must have a strong point of not less than 2% and a shadow of not more than 98%. This can easily be adjusted in Photoshop under curves. »

  
  Is it as simple as opening the curves and setting up and down the diagonal line at 2% and 98%?  I tried to get help Adobe but you have not found an answer.

  And if it's just a matter of drag this diagonal line on the top and bottom how to check the settings later?

  I separate the screenshots just to be able to show the values of output separately. You can make two adjustments at the same time.

  This adjustment is simply that you have blown highlights or shadows muddy.

• Copy and paste the highlight, shadow and exposure?

  Can you copy and paste the parameters for each clip so that there is no dramatic change in the exposure of one small clip to another?

  Great idea, but unfortunately you can't currently do that in video. We have this on our radar!

  Apply a 'Look' to the help project give a mood meets all the clips in the project.

• detail of light and shadow can be edited in Photos?

  I noticed that some editing on the iPhone 6 s tools are not available in OS X El Capitan 'Photos,' setting particularly light and shadow detail.  Is there a way to do this?

  Editing tools are all there, but you have to reveal the advanced tools.  They are hidden by default.

  To use the tool of facts highlights & shadows, open the adjustment Panel, then click on the text in blue 'Add' in the upper right corner.  Now add all the advanced settings, you want to use.

  Click the Basel to the right of the 'Light' adjustment to reveal the advanced controls for "Light".

  The downarrows are hidden, unless you hover on the far right of the amounts of the adjustments.

  The scroll bar is also hidden. You can scroll the Panel to view more signals, if they will not fit in the Panel.

  

• For HDR Photo Merge highlights are always-100

  In each Photo HDR merge I did (about 10) point culminating merged image slider is always set to-100 in the develop module or that highlights are raw. I tried two mergers image and three image merged with the total margin still being +/-2 EV. Also tried to merge made files jpg and Raw (separately) with the same result, highlights = - 100. Someone else has encountered this and is there a way to get a decent result of mid range?

  I use Lightroom CC on a Mac OS X Yosemite, current version.

  The tool is in need of a MAJOR overhaul HDR (with recognition of faces, Pano seems to work ok).  Virtually every HDR, I tried with enabled AUTO is back in Lightroom with highlights to-100 and + 70 shadows.  The exposure slider has increased the range of 5 to 10, but from what I see this extra range is WORTHLESS and fact that the less sensitive cursor.  There seems to be several highlights and shadows available in the merge of files so more needs of range to be allowed in - highlights / + shadows sliders.

  He called the Panel Basic or article. He sometimes disappears. The solution is to right-click (or the equivalent on Mac) I am one of the other section as tone curve headers, etc. and make sure there is a check mark for each section or group that you want to display.

• New Photo app version 1.3 poor images?

  Moved from iphoto to apple photo with upgrade to el capitan. I also have adobe photoshop elements. I downloaded the images from my camera and saw their photo and jpeg images look awful compared to those loaded into adobe - less detail in low light, washed out colors in shadows and unable to correct? The images in iphoto, I used to get were better (but not quite as detailed as adobe). Is there something wrong with the picture 1.3?

• Color Board is not complete

  When I want to do a color correction, I see that I lack information in my version of FCPX 2.2.2.

  Please take a look at these two pictures. On the first image you see under information on the midtones, highlights, shadows... In my interface I don't have it.

• Just updated to Lightroom and all the tools and brushes that I use is gone

  Can someone tell me what happened, and how can I do back up lightroom to a useful version?  I mainly photograph architecture and white, highlights, shadows, exposure, and black paint brushes have disappeared!  As well as the brush of haze. It is a total disaster.  I'm in the middle of a dozen works and it seems no way to roll back this awful downgrade CC lightroom.

  In the Panel to develop under the Calibration of the camera, the process is set for 2012?  I suspect that you have updated an older process.

  

• Apply preset on several images that partially work

  I'm used to apply autotone import order of difficulty of exhibition. But then, I usually apply a preset (like for example the VSCO) affecting many things BUT show and usually affecting highlights, shadows, blacks and whites to fixed values, among other things.

  My problem is: I can apply the preset to an image and it works, but not a lot. I know how to apply a preset to several images: library in grid or develop mode with activated automatic synchronization. The problem lies elsewhere: the preset can change things like the curves of a large number of files, but as highlights, shadows, blacks and whites are concerned, the values are changed to only a small number of photos arround the "plus" selected, but not for each selected image. However, each photo is known to have the prest applied, even if it is not fully applied. I don't know if the preset is only partially implemented, or if it is fully implemented, but your car is applied again instantly for a reason any.

  I tried many things including the reset of LR and replace same. I tried to back up the catalog and open the backup instead. Can you help me?

  This is a long-standing bug. Please add your vote and the details of your problem to this bug report in the official feedback forum Adobe: Lightroom : changes to the settings not applied to all photos of batch development | Community customer Photoshop family

  As you can see in this bug report, when you apply the auto tone to a batch of photos, LR postpones the real parameters calculation until you select the image and perhaps see with a magnifying glass. The presets applied before its auto settings are actually calculated will be ignored.

  The annoying workaround should wait the auto tone is actually applied - select each image in the library grid view, wait a few seconds and if it does not, open it in magnifying glass.

• Gross salary of base with CC - please help!

  Hi all

  I am a novice user of PS and used the CS5 to make a very basic raw processing until two weeks ago. Use Bridge to preview images, the PS would be open and I had a gray screen pale largely with the image and a set of sliders that allowed me to change the exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, white, black, clarity, Vibrance and Saturation - which is all I have to do for now. When I changed the position of the sliders, I could preview the changes on the image that I was doing so.

  Due to a new pc, I had to upgrade to CC, and the new version behaves the same way. Rather than open the photo with the screen light grey and sliders, I get now a window titled 'Camera Raw 9.6.1 - Nikon D3200' image predominance of blue marine with a yellow sign in the Center.

  Cursors are still there, and I have the opportunity to select an Image open, cancel, or made. However, there is no preview of the photo, and if I choose an Image open, the window closes, the photo to open in PS - which means that I can not then manipulate the image as I want.

  Can someone advise how I can get to the screen, I like to use so that I can process the images? Here is a book that I am present for the proof copy before publication, so I'm on a tight schedule, without time for formal training, I clearly need at some point!

• Light of Dodge/Burning issue of smoothing

  I have a light image that I work which was sewn together by hand many shots. I was forced to flatten because it became too much to work with (several gigabytes). I too easily see the boundaries of different stitches. I ask advice suggestions on how to level out the differences of polyhedral. I tried various auto mixture but had no luck.

  Thanks for the suggestion. What I did is use a small brush and Dodge and burn different areas, by using the range selected point highlight, shadow, or midtones to work at the area which was a problem a little in time (as little as one line at a time). Here is where it is now... Also, I moved the tones of a neutral tone to move.
  Note: looking at the very compressed version, low resolution, that looks like it's a division of your wholesale in the Middle, is not present before compression. In addition, it is a base layer for another project that will never show the entire image where I wanted to irregular variations in across the field. I didn't want it to look perfect as a generated model.

  

• I have a problem for editing raw images in CS6 Adobe Bridge camera

  When I right click on a raw image in Bridge CS6 and choose "Open in raw" I get a slightly different edition format compared to when I double click on the same raw image.

  Right click gives me the following settings options: temperature, tint, exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, white, black, clarity, Vibrance and Saturation

  Double click gives me a message "convert to the 2010 process.  When I click on that, I have the following setting options: temperature, tint, exposure, recovery, fill, black light, brightness, contrast, clarity, Vibrance, Saturation.

  I prefer the adjustment tools provided with the right click option.  : However, after I do the image settings using this option and I click on "Open image", the image disappears and open Photoshop, but there is no picture.  I'm fairly certain that I used this option right-click before and after adjustment of the image and clicking on 'Open image' image appeared in Photoshop where I could make a further editing and/or save in JPEG.  But no more.  What is the problem?  I'm doing something wrong?

  You should not see this difference by double-clicking just by right clicking. What you mentioned by right clicking is the old Camera Raw and is no longer used. The new way is actually much better, even if it takes a bit to use to. I didn't like it at first, but now I find much better, there are a few problems with fixes that work much better with the new method. Normally you won't get the old method, if a file has been fixed with it. You can reset the image on the failure to have the new method to take effect.
