• Dodge & burn does not not on raster layer?

  Hey everybody level: Beginner OS: Windows 7 64 bit Ps: CS6

  So, I was playing with tools and try to get to know the Ps. But I am stuck with a problem with Dodge & Burn tools.

  I can't seem to get either to appear on my current project.

  I drew a circle with the Ellipse tool and filled with the color gray and then added a gradient... overlay etc please see screenshot below.

  Then I wanted to use the tool of engraving, but when I click on my circle a pop up that says the layer must be first rasterized. So, I go ahead and rasterize the layer.

  However, when I go to, use their effects are not visible even if they are listed under edition > cancel has been used.

  I made sure the opacity is 100%, the icons of the eye are on and they the layers are not locked.

  I searched the FAQ but I can't find anything on these tools other than photographic uses.

  Does anyone have an idea of what I could to hurt?

  Whatever the tutorial that you follow, I would say to put your "Dodge and Burn" on this topic is clean separate of layer and hang it on the layers that you want to apply to.

  Choose "New layer"-> blending Mode "Overlay"-> fill with neutral color 50% gray - then use the Dodge and burn tools or a brush with white or black.

  PS. about that "electrical storm Light-Up": I had clients lose much more than a "picture post". Consider yourself lucky!

  Why is the sharpness / dodge / Burn tool sometimes change a circle of a bubble in CS6? I have adjusted upward pixels.

• Need help with dodge/burn the layer

  I am wanting to dodge/burn a photo that I have edited with several layers.  If I do a double bottom layer, then the healing marks appear.  If I do an empty layer, nothing of the dodge and burn appears.  I don't want to have to flatten the image.  What I am doing wrong?  How can I get it works.

  If I understand correctly, you want to dodge/burn on the net result of all of the layers. If so, add a layer of white on top of the stack and do Alt + Shift + Ctrl + E.  This creates a snapshot at all underneath. Identical to flatten the image except that all the underlying layers are preserved. Then make your dodge/burn on this layer.

• Where is the dodge/Burn tool in the PSE11 Editor?

  I am a user often dodge/burn and can not find the button in the expert mode in the 11 PES new editor-in-Chief.

  Hi Ken,

  Sorry, you're having trouble finding the tools. They are just there - the new UI would need a little getting used to, so :-)

  Very quickly, here is how access you it:

  1. PES 11 editor > Expert mode > Toolbox > improve the tools > click the icon of the sponge tool (or press the letter of the alphabet O)
  2. In the Options bar of the tool (almost at the bottom of PSE11), choose Tools sponge, burn or Dodge.

• Dodge/Burn tool

  Hello. Just be played with PSE8 and having problems with the dodge/Burn tool. It's usually located with the sponge tool, but for some reason I can't access it. The sponge tool is visible in the Toolbox, but when highlighted, the options above are only to brush Brush/tool/Mode type and flow. Any thoughts?

  Right-click on the icon of the sponge tool, and you can view them.

• DVD burning issues using windows vista

  OK so im, backup data out of my laptop. I have about 2 GB ready to be burned onto a dvd and I got a file over to burn was that of 600 MB should adjustment no problem at all but for some reason, vista tells me my dvd is full makes no sence so I burned dvd and went to my next dvd using the 600 MB file and it let me fill the full capacity of 4.7 GB dvd does vista sometimes to put a ghost or sometihng file that won't allow me to fill the disc ive met this problem once before and this is no his almost random logic

  Try to copy the files in one shot and check if you still get the error message.
  Given that the issue occurs at random times, I suggest that you can delete the temporary files that are created by the burning.

  Navigate to the following location and delete them all the files in the temporary folder burn.
  Burn \appdata\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Burn\Temporary file C:\Users\

  Then delete temporary files on the computer.

• Im having a problem with my dodge/Burn tool.

  When I use the dodge tool, it leaves a trail of circular patterns on the image. I have not had this problem before. What did I do to cause this?

  If the reset fixed it, you must watch the brush you use.  Looks like you have selected sort a brush that is hard and with spacing set to a low value.   I don't know how it could have happened to Dodge and burn tools well?  It must be remembered that a good percentage of toolbar tools use brushes the same as does the Brush tool and that you can define dynamic brush etc. on these brushes.

• Satellite A200-244-DVD/CD burning issues

  Hi all

  I got my Satellite A200-244 since February 2008 and I am very happy with it, except for the cd/dvd burner that is completely useless.

  I have yet to burn a cd (data or audio) without errors occurring.
  In fact these days, I can't burn a cd of all - iTunes doesn't, Winamp does not love, even Windows Media Player he hates now (it was OK with her).

  Is it a problem that others had as well?
  I don't know what to do and I really need to be able to burn CDs!

  I would be grateful for any help/pointers.

  So couldn't read your CD using iTunes and Winamp, but Windows Media Player bed songs is normal?

  One question; have you used the CD compatible and supported?

  Maybe you don t know a fact. All CD or DVD is supported.
  Some media work properly and some dishes t.

  Generally, your user manual should contain a list of CD/DVD supported and tested.

  So I would recommend testing different media for different manufacturers

  I bought a Toshiba A200 (model PSAF6A) of back in January, and it is riddled with problems since then:
  -Can't burn DVD (not @ around 50%, any software is used)
  -Several dead on the screen pixels
  -Overheating when playing games (I bought an external cooling block)
  -Now, all fans are dead inside the laptop! Overheating in the first 10 minutes of starting the laptop computer!

  Now, for me, it seems that the motherboard may have started to die.

  What I'd like to know is if it will be replaced with so many problems if I take service? (I reserved a pick-up for today)
  Or they'll just to try to solve every problem?

  ... Too much dust in the heat sink, must be blown to the compressed air, or dismantled so its really clogged. Dust accumulation is common in carpeted rooms.

  ... If the fans don't turn up at all, there must be a lot of dust in there. The fans need to be replaced.

• Lighting AlienFX, wrong color issues

  I recently sent my computer dell for replacement of the screen, and when he returned, the lighthouse front left (field 10, alienware15) would not shine in all shades of green, red or blue. All of the technicians have not remedied after the reinstallation of the OS, BIOS, the command center and replacement of light. Anyone know anything that could solve this problem? Sometimes the problem improves when I use the quick change function and then switch back, but the fix is temporary, and I want it to work as it should. Thanks for any help.

• How to reset the default settings for the adjustment brush presets. for example, dodge, burn, etc. ?

  Is there a way to reset the brush setting to factory settings? If I put a PIN on a photo using "burn", for example, it has a default value of negative exposure which is supposed to be there, and then I can change this value to get the effect I want on photography. If I want to then go back to the factory setting and put another pin on a different part of the picture and can't remember what the correct value has been set at the factory, how can I reset it?

  Select the brush and click twice on the effect of the speech. Or you can double-click any pointer cursor to reset an individual slider.

• DVD burning issue?

  I am trying to burn a dvd fron still cs5, but whenever I try to burn the error message pops up saying "operating system error = 3". I had these files of the client and they are just the avi. Imported files as atimeline, and then there are 5 menus with 20 markers chapyer. I tried to reinstall the program, but without success. What is my windows 7 which is corrupted... any help will be appreciated.

  Thanks for your post. No need to reinstall windows. Please check the file names as it can happen if you use many special characters like front slash or backward in the file names can cause this problem. Please update if it helps.

  Could you please specify where exactly the lock upward occurs because both John T. Smith and hunting are encourage you to try the burn on the record. From what you wrote I don't know if you can get so far to the burn folder.

  • Publish + share
  • Disc
  • DVD
  • and, then, in the dialog box burn, burn to: disc

  'Disc' is the breakpoint? Associated with burn on the 'disc' immediately after the publication + share or 'disk '?
