His helmet is real quiet, but external speakers are loud in Windows 7

I use windows 7, have a headset Logitech USB, most of the time that they work but for some reason when on Youtube (sites of any browser) the headphoens are really quiet.  When I continue with the same Youtube clip on my external speakers, it's really strong.  I tried the volume to 100% and have gone through the troubleshooting sections in the Panel.  Any ideas? Thank you very much

Nigel

Original title: headphones usb on brower in the quiet

Hello

If it works well before? If so, remember to do recent changes on the computer before this problem?

I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below:

Method 1:

Disable all sound improvements, then check if the problem persists. Follow these steps:

a. Open Sound by clicking on the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type sound, and then click sound.

b. on the playback tab, click speakersand then click Properties.

c. click the enhancements tab and then select the check box turn off all the improvements .

d. If you don't see the tab improvements in the speakers properties dialog box, these features are not available for your speakers, and this procedure is not applicable to your computer.

Method 2:

Check if your headset is set to use as the default value * Communication * device instead of the default device, or if the two devices are configured by default. If so, do the default headphones, so that Windows will use only when they are connected to follow the steps below:

a. right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar, then select volume control options.

b. put a check mark on "all devices evolving sound.

c. make sure you have "Default uncontrolled communication device".

d. place a check on the speakers and headphones.

Also, follow the steps described in the following link:

Note: this link is also applicable for Windows 7.

This is controlled by the hardware itself or the driver software.

You can try to install the latest audio drivers available from the manufacturer.
If this does not work, you can try to contact the manufacturer for assistance.

  • External speakers are really quiet (Windows Vista)

I have a HP Pavilion dv5-1235dx with 64-bit of Windows Vista Home Premium. My internal speakers are fine and when I use headphones, the volume is large. I tried to use Jet 2.0 iWave speakers (http://www.iwaveaudio.com/product_detail.asp?product_id=100261&dept_id=100039), but they are not very strong. They are not very speakers to start but they his much stronger with my iPod or on other laptops. I tried shooting a lot, reinstall drivers and update of everything that I have and the adjustment of the different sound sliders. Any help would be appreciated

Unfortunately, I get the increase in production on other laptops. It seems that my laptop is the only one with this problem of low volume. and I tried the other speakers on my laptop and they work fine. Jet 2.0 speakers that I do not have a control volume on them so the only way to change the volume is the volume of the laptop.

    1. go to control panel, and then sound.
    2. look for the recording tab.
    3. Select your headset as default device, then press OK.

  • external speakers stopped working in windows xp svc pk 3

Hi, my system is four years old and custom built. (tour). ASUS, spin windows xp svc pk 3. I have a large and two small tweakers woofer? left and right. They are old to quit smoking, but sound as good as bose, so of course I kept it. They will work on my cd downloaded in windows media but stopped working on music of youtube videos. and news, nothing else on windows. I went into Control Panel and checked, all is well. Ran has fix that and it came ok. But they still do not work with everything else. I read a couple of patches that might work, except that they are way over my head, so have not yet made. (attempt to).

I think they are patches from microsoft, one is 32557, netvol, audiosvr. I received, is going to help by typing. Does anyone know a simple way eventually? It is not like I'm kind of computer genius, or even very good for nothing! I can barely understand my smart phone, and it's no joke. I'm not stupid. Just old. Ok. Brain does not work as it used too. I deal with enough of those she s it took off, not enough courage to implement. Thank you for any assistance. Will try to understand this place and come back, hopefully. I found a place that showed two other questions I had asked, and forgotten. They showed replied. I know that I did not it?

  • Satellite P200 - 14 H no sound using external speakers

    Hi all

I removed the speakers of the socket CAP and when I reinserted the card I did not all sounds.
When the external speakers were connected on the laptop, I would get a low noise through the speakers of the laptop.

Now its seems to be the opposite (I hear the noise when the external speakers are not connected).
I tried reinstalling the drivers but nothing happened. I don't know if the laptop does not recognize if the plug is connected or not.

Sometimes, I have a very low noise which is not clear and only one of the speakers (left or right).

    How can I solve this?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Have you tried to connect other speakers or headphones to the laptop?

I have I read this forum about a similar problem but I put t remember of what cell phone it was however, the guys moved the headphone and sound appeared again

To my knowledge, the helmet contains a little switch that switches between the internal speakers and the external audio output

Maybe this switch does not work properly

  • I lost the sound on the speakers of my HP netbook, but I however get his helmet

First, I apologize that it is a repost - I have received notification that someone had replied to my previous announcement, but when I tried to access it today, it was gone! : o

    I have a laptop HP 2140 running Windows XP (32 bit), Firefox 5.0. p/n number is FM839UT #ABA.

Last Sunday, I lost all THE sounds (sound system, music, alerts, etc.) no reason why.  (The only thing I can think that I did was to download a new version of Flash, but its 1) worked after that and 2) I uninstalled Flash several times since then.

Last night, I discovered that I AM getting sound with headphones, but I can't always solve the external noise through built-in speakers of the netbook.

Here are some other things I did to try to resolve the problem:

    • checked to make sure that the speakers are selected, volume works, and that nothing is cut
    • through its programs troubleshooting
    • downloaded and run the Fixit from Microsoft for audio (he made an adjustment, but no other effects)
    • restored the system to several days before losing his (no effect)
    • reloaded the audio drivers on HP website (no effect)

Nothing worked! :(  What can I do else?

Thank you; the problem was in fact through internal speakers of the netbook as mentioned above, there is no problem with them being "plugged."

However, he proved that a loose cable was the problem!  I discovered that when my netbook screen was half closed, I was getting sound.  Then, as I opened it slowly, I lost his approach to the screen by 90 degrees.  The speakers are at the bottom of the screen, and it is obvious that the thread that runs through the hinge that cements the computer to the speakers (I think just in the left speaker, actually) is loose.

So, if I keep the screen at slightly less than 90 degrees, I hear. : p it's annoying, but I'm putting up with it until I can take it to someone who can disassemble for me (I don't feel comfortable to do it myself) and set the connection.

Thanks to all who tried to help me!

  • Satellite A660 - no audio output after you connect it to external speakers

HI everyone, this is my first post and to vary, I have a problem.

I have a Satellite A660 11 M and when I connect to a 2.1 system audio external on 3'5 mm jack plug I hear the sound of the harman/kardon speakers, but not the 2.1 System.
I have an Asus eeepc and works very well. Cable flawless work, is something in the configuration.

I update the realtek and nvidia drivers and still out of work. Always when I connect the cable, realtek config screen appears and select line, but in works of asus eeepc and the computer toshiba laptop not.

    Concerning

Try to check the settings in Realtek HD audio Manager. You can find it in the control panel.
Open it and right on the top of the Hill you will see the folder small yellow symbol.
Click on it and select the option enable auto popup dialogue...

After doing this connect external speakers and do not forget the good feature is defined.

On the same principle, it works with a headset and it works fine on my Satellite A660. When I connect headset I hear his helmet only. With other words, sound signal goes to external display only.

By the way: I use the original Toshiba recovery image with the factory settings and there is no problem.

  • My helmet speakers are out - prioritize my built in Mic headset

After finding that the microphone of my helmet (which I thought was broken, since he has never worked on my computer) works very well on my phone, I started to focus on why I can't hear out of it on my computer. Apparently when I set up a microphone on Realtek HD Audio Manager, my helmet speakers are used as the microphone instead as it is built in mic.

Anyone know if there is a way I can fix this? Thank you

If you use headphones 'style phone helmet', in other words, only Jack and 3 connectors, his computer map ports usually do not support 3way plugs as you have, only 2 (or in the case of mic).

You most likely will need a headset with a plug for speakers and a microphone. The microphone can be recognized in the port of real, but pregnant mic (on headpones) will not work.

It is a hardware limitation, your phone has a different take than your computer does (very probably).

  • My helmet is bright red, and the speakers does not work, when I try to adjust the volume when there is no headset/speakers in, there is a sign of the cross as the symbol of the volume where the places are supposed to be, macbook pro retina display

My helmet is for some time, as the eye of the terminator, glowing and speakers have not worked since. I need to plug headphones or external speakers. Whenever I try to adjust the volume when it shows just a cross symbol under the sign of the volume, where small squares usually are (see below)

Is there a way to fix this? Some other similar forums tell me to try to manually move a switch in the audio jack, but I can't seem to find such a change and the thing that seems most like a light switch, does not move.

    Can someone please help?

    Thank you

Your audio output is stuck in optical mode, this is the red light.

The solution is to try to insert and remove the plug a dozen times or more in the hopes of convincing making fall out of optical mode and in electric mode.
