Hello
We have a license for VMware vSphere 6 with operations management Enterprise Plus for 1 processor
Can explain everything about the use of these products and differentiate? Also, do I need to buy VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.0 license to use this VSOM?
vSphere with operations management Enterprise Plus 1 processor 6 includes 1 processor for vSphere Enterprise 6, Plus and one license for vRealize Operations Manager Standard. You don't need to purchase vRealize Operations Manager 6.0 to use vSOM, as it is included.

vRealize Operations Manager 6 - trial and question
Hello-
Recently, I have deployed the trial for vRealize Operations Manager 6. I have 2 Server vCenter added, seems to work very well, but the other shows the joint as crucial. I did a little research but didn't find anything clear about the cause or the resolution of these messages. I hope someone can help point me in the right direction.
Thank you!
There may be services on your vCenter which are not running, or inaccessible.

Failed to create dashboard customized by vRealize Operation manager
Hi all
I just deployed a cluster of vRealize (v.6.0.2) Operations Manager and I am able to deploy solutions/manage roles inside. However, when I want to create the custom dashboard, I found that there is no such option for me.
I connect the administrator account created during the installation, which is supposed to have every permission.
No suspicion on which permission/configuration I may have missed to create dashboard?
Thank you
Silvester
Looks like you are using a key of vSOM. I see it's enterprise edition, which entitles you to vSphere Enterprise, but all versions of vSOM give access to only the Operations Manager Standard edition features vRealize.
The link below mentions "capabilities are equivalent to the vRealize Operations Manager Standard edition"

Anyone know how to change the vCenter Operations Manager plugin to my new environment?

Three weeks ago I improve my vmware 5.5 to 6.0 platform, and I installed a new copy of vRealize Operations Manager 6.0.1 Appliance virtual.
So, I read that is a version 6.2 (Yes, guys very late, I know) and I wan't apply the update of my current 6.0.1 version 6.2 last version.
VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.2 Release Notes
So, there is an option "suggested fixes/upgrades" in any place, like Update Manager or something like that?
How can I download the correct upgrade pak? Some of them?
Thank you.
If you use VAPP.
vRealize Operations Manager - Virtual Appliance Operating System upgrade - vRealize_Operations_Manager-GOES-OS - 6.2.0.3542056.pak
vRealize Operations Manager - Virtual Appliance (without Windows basic RC) update - vRealize_Operations_Manager - VA - 6.2.0.3528954.pak

API for vCenter Operations Manager
Is there an API published for interaction with vCenter Operations Manager? The tool generates wonderful data sets, and it would be extremely useful to publish these data on a customer portal for the presentation. Is this possible now or is on the roadmap? Any help is appreciated.
There are:
https://vcopsip/HttpPostAdapter/ OpenAPIServlet
If you hit it with a simple browser, it gives you documentation.

Dear people,
I was wondering if you can help me with a question about the visibility of the data in combination with the beam of VOA and values.
As you know, the VOA bundle comes with a bunch of reports which consists of different points of view.
These views are used to extract information from the distribution of the VMware Tools vSphere environment, showing the slow down VMs and many other things.
But here's the problem: no matter what I try, I can't reproduce these included several views.
For example:
I select the view predefined "Machines Virtual Guest OS Distribution" as included in the package of VOA.
Topic , this is related to VCenter-adapter → Virtual Machine.
Data , this is related to summary | Guest operating system. Full name of the OS comments.
I have provided a Gifcam-record showing what is the problem:
The built-in view contains this information of guest operating system , I can't check myself, no matter what I try. This selection of data simply does not exist, yet, it is mentioned in the report.
What kind of constraint is it? Why the report does not show properly I still do not see the values?
Anyone else had this problem and knows how to handle this problem?
Any help is very appreciated!
Kind regards
EDIT: I forgot to mention that I am logged in as admin.
After re-reading your application, I think that my last post has not answered your question. However, it should...
You don't see the full name of the Guest OS tab data, is because you're metric research, not properties. Click on the small icon in the upper left corner nest to the filter field, and it will change to the properties. Now, you will see Guest OS full name under summary as a data option.

vRealize Operation Manager 6.0 - Snooze alert for host in maintenance
Hello
I was wondering if somebody encounter this situation or have a solution for this. In the previous version of vCOPS by default when a host was in interview he disappeared from vCops and does not generate any alerts. With the new version, this behavior is no longer present. Since we are currently plug our hosts, we get a bunch of alerts for guests who do not have loads of work on them.
If anyone has a way for us to get this functionality, let me know! Looking into this at the same time.
Thank you!
Finally I ended up adding a definition of the symptom in the alert
Where this can be useful for someone else
Alert definition: host has lost the connection to vCenter Server
Creates a new definition of the symptom
Type = property
Name = host State not in maintenance
Length of ownership. State of maintenance. = inMaintenance
The alert now as two conditions and for the moment, in my test environment, that it does not work as expected.

vRealize operation not displaying VOA does not after importation
Anyone had problems installing the vRealize reports PAK VOA? I installed successfully in the hands on Labs and it works fine, when I try and import in my environment vRealize running VMware vSphere with operations management Enterprise Plus for vRealize operations, it is important and will post fine without error but none of the VOA reports are listed. I followed the update instructions and full as well as the VOA_Reports-FINAL - v3.pak, but few last important what I have try it just does not appear? I also tried earlier versions of PAK but they do not always appear. I am running Version 6.0.1.2523163 Build 2523163 vRealize
While look us into this, I have attached the xml files that you can import into the 6.0.1/2, environment directly in the reports tab (not in the Solutions section). Be sure to select the options to replace all the existing views.
To do this on your own: If you have another environment (lab, etc.) which is located on 6.x, you can import the. PAK file and then export each report as .xml. Just make sure you have 1 .xml for each report (4 total).
Thank you
Bill

Microsoft System Center Operations Manager Pack for vmware view?
According to the link below, there is a vmware view management pack available for MS operations manager:
http://blogs.VMware.com/view-point/2010/08/view-45-modernizing-the-Windows-desktop.html
Where can I download this? I was not able to find it in the download portal.
This package is actually available on the login server view itself once you have it installed.
Information on integration with SCOM is found beginning on page 51 of the Guide found here VMware View integration:

Hello
I just started with a clean install of the vCloud 3.4 meter use.
The first two collections is fine but now it is defective for vCenter Operations Manager.
We are still using the operations manager, so it is not necessary to be removed doe to use count see the version of vCOPS (5.8.4.2199700.
Get the following mail:
Object:Hour meter collection usage, errors
Body:
Metering: start time (IP): 2015-11-04 12:00
Duration: 9 seconds
No vCenter info Operations Manager extension for "vCOPS IP" was taken to a vCenter Server.
.
Hi all
Has had a call with VMware Support and the development of consumption measuring team. This is a bug in version 3.4, and there is a solution for this.
The workaround is to use the user SSO ([email protected]) to connect to vCenter Server to the extent of consumption.
