You can not. Home groups work only with computers running Windows 7 or
thereafter.
Use a working group.

Hi S RAGAN,
I suggest to perform the clean boot on your computer and check.
From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".
To perform a clean boot on a computer, follow these steps.
1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
5. click on OK.
6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.
Please follow the system in the boot environment. If the problem does not occur, it indicates that the problem is related to an application or a service, we have disabled. You can use the MSCONFIG tool again to reactivate the disabled one by one element to find the culprit.
If your issue is resolved, follow the how to determine what is causing the problem section in KB article to narrow down the exact source.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796 . In addition, see the section on how to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode.

I am a user of Picasa for a long time conversion to Lightroom. I share photos with dropbox on a MAC, a Windows computers, storing images and the catalog in dropbox. I'm able to share the LR catalog, but on the second system images can be found as a prefix system DB files have different user names. Any ideas?
At the point of Lightroom to another location for photos, follow these instructions:

Note: If the catalog is constantly being synchronized to DropBox, you will most likely follow these instructions whenever you open the catalog on another computer.

I downloaded the iso file of windows 7 Home premium 64-bit. can I use the product key to my Home Premium pre installed windows 7 64-bit OS that are in my label of windows laptop back...
Original title: the Windows 7 product key
Yes you can. To learn more:
If your computer is pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Premium, you should have a recovery if partition:
New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.
This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...
For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device
For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device
For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device
For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward
For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo
For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.
For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...
For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power
Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"
Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".
------------------------
If the recovery partition is damaged or does not, you can then use the downloaded Home Premium as an alternative.

If I install Windows Vista Home Premium to my Windows XP is it go faster?
Hi, I want to know if I install Windows Vista Home Premium on my Windows XP Home Edition it will go faster? Now, Windows XP is very slow and my son wants to play online games and he can't because the computer will have to slow down. So I was wondering if I install the Windows Vista disc I had, this will make faster? and the computer I have an adapter to receive Web, couldn't that make it slow to? Please answer.
It depends on the specifications of the system... XP might be infected with something, if its slow. You have it scanned with an AV program or something? Vista needs a bit more ram than XP. So, if there is not enough ram in the system, Vista can be just as slow (or slower) than XP. If the conversation of youre cable is an ethenet cable, you need it. Or you will not get on the internet

I'm unable to upgrade Windows Vista Home Basic SP2 to Windows 7 Home Premium.
I am trying to upgrade Windows Vista Home Basic SP2 to Windows 7 Home premium. The compatibility report indicates no problem, except that the keyboard filter stops working after the upgrade. It is just information and no error, so I continued. In the 'Windows Update' step during the "collection of files, settings and programs" in point 32%, I get "Windows has stopped working" pop up and the only option given is "close the program". Tried twice with the same results at the same point. Help, please.

Hello
In order to know which version of Windows 7 upgrade purchase, using the top prizes starting tomorrow, I would like to know if I can use a facility in place or will require a clean install (when updates are sent in October?).
I upgrade from Vista Home Premium 64-bit for Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (to use the XP compatibility feature).
But the installation in place, I think, is an easier process, especially if some 3rd party software, which does not transfer through a software transfer and cables, should proceed to deactivation, reactivation and or new material for release of the keys, etc. for a clean install.
The Beta Upgrade Wizard for Windows 7 that I ran on my computer Vista Home Premium 64 upgrade to Windows 7 Professional provides a clean install, not in place. But I wonder if this may be a piece of information in the Beta Wizard. Reading online today mentions that the upgrade to a higher level version (such as Vista Home Premium 64 for Windows 7 64 Profession) can be done on site.
All links to information Microsoft 'official' on this topic would be appreciated.
Kind regards

Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit > Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit?
Just a question, I currently have Vista Home Premium 32 Bit OEM and want to upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit. When you buy an upgrade pack does with Versions 32 and 64 BIT, I understand not doing a clean install, etc.. but the DVD with this capability upgrade? as far as I can see the comments are widespread, and State if the disk used for the upgrade is a full version or an upgrade copy. Because I would rather buy the upgrade on a whole new pack of detail for reasons of $.
Yes, this full and updated details to level version boxed packages include records of 32 and 64-bit.
Upgrade paths:
When important changes to your computer, for example an upgrade, it is always recommended that you back up your system before installing a new version of Windows. In your case, you can upgrade to Windows 7 depending on the edition and the architecture of Windows Vista, you have installed. If you are running a 32-bit version of Vista and upgrade to a 64-bit (Windows 7 edition) version, you'll have a pure make install, it is the opposite case.If you are using Windows Vista Home Basic or Premium consumer editions, you can only upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium or Ultimate. Also, you can make the downgrades, which means, if you are running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition now, you cannot downgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium. You perform logical upgrades:
Windows Vista Home Basic > Windows 7 Home Basic, Premium or Ultimate
Windows Vista Edition Home Premium > Windows 7 Home Premium or Ultimate
Windows Vista Business > Windows 7 Professional, enterprise or ultimate edition
Windows Vista Business > Windows 7 Enterprise
Windows Vista Ultimate > Windows 7 Ultimate.Releasing it's easy: with Windows | ActiveWin | Laptops | Microsoft MVP
