How can I move my site folders/files to a drive.

I tried to move the folder to the main site; but it wont let me move throughout the site anywhere on my drive hard or the cloud. I have no problem to move files and folders within the site; but I can't get the entire site moved.  Any help would be appreciated.

You cannot move a file of entire site in DW.  You must use your operating system (Windows Explorer or the Mac Finder).  Then redefine the local folder on your site in DW by going to Site > Manage Sites.

  • How can I move all the folders in Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail?

Bought a new computer with Windows Home, how can I move the folders of Outlook Express in Windows XP SP3 in Windows Live Mail? Thanks for your help.

Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

    For Messages:

Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail. Open WLMail and: file | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

    Location of OE message store:

In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    For addresses:

Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

Open the Contacts list in WLMail, (go |) Contacts in the Menu bar) and the file | Import | Address book (wab) Windows and the point where you saved it.

Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.

    For the account settings:

In OE: Tools | Accounts, select the account and export it to the desktop. This will be an .iaf file. Copy it to the new computer and WLMail desktop: tools | Accounts and import the settings from the location you saved the.

  • How can I move emails to folders in offline mode? Company IMAP on Windows 7 Mail account

One of our guys has filled its quota on bightbiz .mail.   I keep having to remove some of his stuff, but I'm entering in the where to left on their server is valuable.

I know that there are some offline storage folders associated with Windows 7 Live Mail, but I don't know if I have these storage records contribute to the server BizMial is contingent.

So I need to find a way to store emails (Archives) of the Bizmail server space to preserve it is not always reach its quota.

If the records of storage are not and the option for storing offline... what?

    Thank you

    Granny DP

This is exactly what storage folders are for. If you move a message to a folder from IMAP account to a folder created by the user under storage folders, it will be deleted from the server at the next synchronization (or probably immediately, depending on the server). The message will after that will be available on the computer where it is stored. You can reverse the process in order to deliver a message to the server.

Note that you can only move messages from one account to storage files. You cannot move Folders.

During the operations of large file in Windows Live Mail, it's a good idea to work offline at the same time, to avoid interference from the scheduled synchronization activities and (b) take it easy. A lot of things happen for each message is moved - movement is recorded in a log file, the message itself will be analyzed by your AV and it will be indexed by Windows to update the search index and so on. When I move messages from one folder to another, I copy in batches of not more than 100 messages at a time. This creates a new file for each message, leaving the old one intact. When I'm sure all the messages that were on their new record, I Shift-Delete the 'old'.

You can move all your documents without problem, but not your
installed programs. This is because there are a lot of references, in the
Registry and elsewhere in \Windows, where programs are.

There are a few third party programs that can get to those
references and supposedly change them for you, but my experience
try these programs is that none of them are perfect and use one of
them is likely to create problems with some programs.

Therefore, it is best to reinstall programs.

  • How can I move as site existing to Go Daddy BC?

I have questions a little move my site. It was built on Business Catalyst through peoplewerx site. I'm moving to accommodation of their dad and I am not getting any help from adobe, and no to Go Daddy seems to know what is happening. Can someone help me? Thank you.

NIC, what you are trying to do will not work. British Colombia is not such a system that you can do.

You have no server-side code, it is NOT PHP and you have not just a direct access to the SQL database.

Basically, you can't do what you're trying to do.

  • SOS! HOW CAN I MOVE MY PROJECT PPCS6 IN ANOTHER HARD DRIVE?

    Help, please!

I have the first of my documentary in 10 days and it is not yet finished. I worked full time... but HARD DISC of the PC makes weird noises and often fails causing the computer restart... I'm afraid of that HARD drive is about to break up permanently soon.

I can't risk and I bought a new HARD drive... but I'm not sure of my PPCS6 project will work well if I start working in a new HARD drive.

I read all along and only solution I found is to the 'project leader'... but then it says "size of project result (estimate): 330 GB"... who is just crazy.»

I'm now back up the preview of the project files folder to the new HARD drive, but I don't know that he's going to be enough.

Please, I beg you! Any who put little light in this complicated situation!

How can I continue to work in my project to a new HARD drive and finish my documentary?

Thanks in advance for your help, it is really necessary now!

    Miguel

Welcome! Yes, the project file contains everything you have changed: the sequence, effects, and transitions that you have applied, and also titles that you have created. If you open the project copied on the same pc with the same version first, but HARD drive different, the project will work the same as it used to.

First also offers a lot of customization, as rendering, effect presets, keyboard presets, presets layout sequence, custom workspace (the window layout) that are not only related to a project, but to the program in general. You can save these files too. in the folder

    User > Documents > Adobe > Premiere Pro > 8.7 or 6 > user profile >

You find presets for effects (.prfpset)

    Keyboard layouts (file Win)

    Personalized workspace (record layout)

However, this is only relevant if you reinstall first or your entire system or you want to work in another computer with the same settings.

  • How can I move the public folders default location to a new drive?

I'll put up a brand new machine with Windows 7 pre-installed and a big 500 GB hard drive.  I partitioned the drive into 2 logical drives C: and E:

Wherever possible I want to store all user data on E: (I know is not possible for all the parameters of the user to move - mores the pity).  I have not yet copied across all the data from my old machine so I just empty folders to play with at the moment.  I moved all the My Documents/pictures/etc files for the e: drive by changing the location in the properties of the folder.

However, I can't do the same with public folders.  If I right click on the folder, click Properties, then location, it's like I can't change C:\Users\Public\... but it does not change

No idea why, or how I can get around this?

This is possible thanks to a Directory junction that can redirect to a new location of the Public folder.

First create a new folder on E:\ and maybe you want to call it Public.

Go to Cmd prompt as administrator.

All copy existing public folders to the new folder created using the command
Robocopy /MIR %Systemdrive%\Users\Public E:\Public     (or any name that you used for public folders on E :)

You need robocopy as he takes care of hidden files, etc., especially if you have the recorded TV folder in public folders.

Once the copy is transferred, you must delete the existing public folder and create a junction in his place. To do this, boot into Safe Mode as an administrator and remove the public content and file inviting again by running Cmd as administrator. To remove the Public folder:

    RmDir /s /q %SYSTEMDRIVE%\Users\Public

After creating the new folder location and remove the existing public folder, now is time to create a Directory junction of audiences with the following folders:

Mklink /J %Systemdrive%\Users\Public E:\Public                         (or any name you named the folder opublic on E:\)

    for example: mklink /dC:\Users\Public E:\Public

Now, all that is intended for the original Public folder gets directed to the new location.
    I hope this helps.
