  You can simply drag in iCloud reader, but I pass and move documents in their files app instead. It will probably take a while to download all documents.

  A much simpler and easier solution is to do a clean install and update and then create an image of your new installation, the next time you need to reinstall Windows you simply restore your image and update the image newly installed and then create an image update for the next installation.  There are many Imaging disc out there, many of them for free.  I prefer TeraByte Image for Windows (not free) for my imaging needs.

  Not longer than the partitioning of the HARD drive and install XP - actually quite a bit more fast I should think and gives you the ability to move from one OS to the other without having to reboot the machine.   I understand that you want to disable the open Internet Explorer at startup option.

  Method 1
  Step 1: I suggest to start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

  Step 2: If the problem is solved in SafeMode with networking, then I suggest to perform clean boot and remove the program that is causing the problem.

  It really is not.  I think my best recommendation would be to use both on the desktop so you can have run them side-by-side on request.  That's what I'm doing, I just a shortcut for each.
