How configuration "Microsoft Loopback Adapter"?
HelloI have Oracle 11 GR 1 material, Win XP. with DHCP enabled.
My conputer Gets a dynamic IP on the internet connection, so I want to install "* Microsoft Loopback Adapter."
To do this, I visited this link:
http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B1930601/install.102/b14316/reqs.htm#BABGHEFB_
Here, in the section 2.4.5.3, installation of a card loopback on Windows 2003 or Windows XP,
Step 20, they said to edit the host file.
In this step, I have some confusion:
> for example:
> 10.10.10.10 mycomputer monordinateur.mondomaine.com
What you write above the line instead of mydomain.com? In the example above mycomputer is the name of the computer. In my case
my computer name is user-5ef511de5
so, I wrote
10.10.10.10 user-5ef511de5 user-5ef511de5
This gave an unexpected behavior. That I was unable to connect to DB via any tool.
Please tell exactly what to write in this host file?
My computer in self-employment which often gets connected to the internet by dial-up access.
bootstrap wrote:
Can you tell me what to write in the host file located inC:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc location?
Ip_address nomhote.nomdomaine hostname
http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=how+to+make+entry+in+Windows+host+file
This should be replaced by actual IP that I entered the loopback adapter which is 10.10.10.10, my computer name is ok, but what to write instead of the domain name?
No area, no entry for the domain in the hosts file.
Kind regards

Is it possible to install a loopback adapter through cmd (without devcon) orders?
I would like to do a method to automatically install a new network adapter in windows xp. It should work with commands cmd and if possible without the devcon utility (you want to include in a batch file)
On my research I came across of the netsh command, but for me it seems that he could only set up and existing but not install a new card (is that right?)
I look forward to each response pointing me in the right direction.

more a looping on domestic network (MS loopback adapter)
I have a question, my home network has a PC using a loopback adapter is required to control the remote server software running locally for people outside the network can connect to the internet and use the server. Now it works very well on a PC with the closure, I can access the server locally to make changes, as if I were a remote user.
The router is configured, and the address is static, so people can connect remotely and I can only use one PC as well locally to access the server. Is here that is the problem I need to have more than one computer on the installation of the LAN to access the remote server software. When I take another PC on the local network and add a closure to it when I try to connect the other PC running the software server refuses the connection. I did a PC addressed as 192.168.1.150 looping has the address real IP as it should, the other PC has an address 192.168.1.250 and closure is at the address real IP as well as it should. If the two PCs have their separate address and internal have the same real IP of such 108.X.X.X assigned by the carrier of the ISP.
Is it possible to have two internal on the same local network to access the same server? If so, how?
The server PC is Windows 7 Pro, the other PC on LAN is Windows 8.1

Microsoft 6to4 adapt #5 problem
I had a Compaq Presario using Windows Vista Home Premium for about four years. All of a sudden, I'm having a problem with my two printers - an HP LaserJet 4000 spits out blank pages and the 932C HPDeskJet prints very slowly. Diagnostics of material that came with the computer tells me I have a problem with Microsoft 6to4 adapt #5 and give me a "code 31". I ran Microsoft Fix - it and he has successfully performed two operations, but the problem persists. the only difference is that my diagnosis is no longer gives me an alert to the problem and I can't have the exact language of the problem.
I have used the system restore and restored my system to an earlier date to an automatic update of a device driver package, but it does not solve the problem, although the printers worked fine on the date to which the computer has been restored.
What should I do now.
Thank you.

I had to disable the "User Account Control" (UAC), which allows you to run as administrator in Vista. After that I turned it off, all 4 of these updates installed and it doesn't require manual installation. Follow these steps:
In the case of Vista view:
1.) go to start; Control Panel; "User accounts and family safety"; User accounts.
2.) click on 'Enable user account control or disable' (last point on the page)
3.) clear the checkbox "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer" and click "OK."
4.) restart the computer, and then run the installation of the system and they work.If you are in Classic view:
1.) go to start; Control Panel; Security Center
2 screen.) in the "Windows Security Center", go to the last item "User Account Control" and click the button to turn off.You can also see the security shield in your Start menu. You can also access the UAC via this.
After that the installation of the system have been updated, make sure that you go back and turn the UAC "" and then restart your computer so that unauthorized updates do not occur. Always try this turn off if install doesn't work.

Error: "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office 2000 Professional.
How can I get rid of the message "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office 2000 Professional". Apparently, the system does not find a valid source for this. To my knowledge, I have not downloaded this software even though I must admit that it does not appear in my list of software. I tried to remove the screws of the Panel control, but to no avail.
Thank you for your response. I have now solved the problem by deleting the installation, using the cleanup utility.
However, I appreciate you trying to help me.

Please consult the manufacturer of your device to help get this device installed.
I'm totally familiar with this device and as a result, I'm not sure what relevance with regard to my OS. What I need to download and install a special driver manually, or should I just ignore the error message above? Care of my system:
CPU: Intel Core i7 - 4770 K CPU @ 3.50 GHz

OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_ldr.160408 - 2045)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hello
Peripheral Microsoft ISATAP Inter Site Automatic Tunneling Address Protocol is used to help the transition to an IPv6 infrastructure companies. T he card ISATAP encapsulates IPv6 packets using an IPv4 header. This feature allows the customer to carry IPv6 traffic over an IPv4 infrastructure. This approach allows organizations to migrate slowly to an IPv6 infrastructure without having to spend too much time and financial resources to convert the new infrastructure.
This means that the Microsoft ISATAP device driver is an update which is specifically designed to connect to the network. This driver is not a requirement for your operating system. It's an extra update for a better network functionality. If your internet connection works fine, then you can ignore this driver. Otherwise, follow the solution below to solve this problem.
Here are the steps you can try:
1. follow the steps on this link to update the driver: update a hardware driver that is not working properly.
2. run the troubleshooting of autopilot: hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows.
3 try to uninstall and reinstall the driver.
To uninstall:
- Click Startand then click Control Panel.
- Click hardware and sound.
- Click on Device Manager.
- Double-click the type of device you want to uninstall.
- Right-click on the desired specific device, and then click Uninstall. You can also double-click on the device and then on the driver tab, click Uninstall.
- Click OK to complete the uninstall. (Restart your computer so that the changes take effect).
To reinstall:
- Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then in the list of results, click Windows Update.
- In the left pane, click check for updates. If there are any available updates, click the links to see more information about each update. Windows Update tells you if an update is important, recommended, or optional. Each type of update might include drivers.
- On the Select the updates you want to install page, look for updates for your hardware devices, select the check box for each driver you want to install and then click OK. There could be no available driver updates.
- On the Windows Update page, click install updates. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. Windows Update will tell you if the updates have been installed correctly.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you.

Hundreds of "Microsoft ISATAP Adapter" s in interfaces, slow down some networking applications
Hello
Recently, I noticed that some Java applications on my computer take a long time to start: at startup, the grip of the application within about 20 seconds, while the Task Manager indicates that the "javaw.exe" process takes 25% CPU usage (I'm on a quad-core processor, then that would mean that the process of one of them is fully) at the end of the duration of block applications finally starts and then normally works (and the CPU usage decreases). However, this long startup time is annoying when development/debugging Java applications.
Make debugging, I could see that what was slowing down applications is a method of the Java API called 'getNetworkInterfaces' that retrieves the list of available network interfaces. Running a test program showed me that this method has found more than 1,000 network interfaces (!) on my system, which most is labeled "Microsoft ISATAP Adapter". Apparently, this method is called at the beginning of these Java applications, for reasons that I have not always figured out.
Did some other research, I found that this method calls a Windows API 'GetIfTable"( MSDN documentation ) function: runs the C++ test program still shows the same number of interfaces (~ 1 000), with all the"Microsoft ISATAP adapter' s. as a result, the problem is probably not due to lack of Java; It's just more noticeable on Java applications, because Java must create a NetworkInterface object for each of these interfaces.
Still more research to show that it is a known problem in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008. The question now is: how to remove these "Microsoft ISATAP cards?" They do not appear in the devices, or using DevCon Manager as suggested on other forums. So far, I have not found a satisfactory answer.
Here are a few links relating to the issue, this could enlighten us:
This seems to be the issue as described in the base, Microsoft technical support, but he mentions "6to4 adapter" not "maps ISATAP.
This user in the forums TechNet has the same problem (multiple interfaces, network do not appear in Device Manager, can't get them off with DevCon) but the wire provided no real answers. It would also be interesting to know where getIfTable retrieves network information: apparently is not in the registry.
Finally, the most interesting link is one that also describes the issue (if it is on Windows Server) and mentions the effect on Java programs. He described a solution mentioning a tool "NDISCLEANUP" but I can't find it anywhere. Where can I get this tool?
Hello
Thanks for the reply.
According to the description I would recommend that you post the question on the Windows 7 IT Pro forums for assistance.

Hello.
I have a problem with my internet connection. Whenever I have troubleshoot to see what the problem is, it says my Ethernet cable is not connected. But it is. I accidentally uninstalled my Microsoft network adapter multiplexer Protocol and that is why it won't let me connect. Now I have a download link for it, but I can't download it without internet connection on my other computer. Someone help me please, I need to know how to connect to the internet. If the Protocol multiplexer of Microsoft network adapter isn't the problem, I don't know what is. Would appreciate any help. Thank you.
Hi Aaron,
This problem is usually due to not having updated drivers. As you already mentioned that you deleted the driver accidentally, this could be the cause of the problem. I would like to know some information about this problem so that we can help you further.
1. What is the number of brand and model of the computer?
2. do you get any error code or error message?
I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.
Method 1:
Try to download the drivers for network card and Chipset on the computer from another computer manufacturer site and then try to install on your computer and check if the problem persists.
Method 2:
Try the steps in the following Microsoft Help article and check if it helps.
