  I went to the help pages to learn how to access the tool "compare documents". It says to select Tools-> compare. However, my Tools menu doesn't have this tool. On the help page, there's a screenshot of the screen tools (with all the icons of tools). There are many more tools on the photo it than what I have in my menu of tools, including the files tool. I don't understand why I have not all the tools for Acrobat DC STD (2015)

  What is a model supported by your version of Windows? You could just plug it in and see if Windows recognizes
  and they get the drivers off of the internet. Although it is recognized that you should always check the manufacturer's website
  new drivers and control software.

  Check with the site of the manufacturer of the camera brand and model you should be able to download the necessary software.

  You have a hard drive partition to do - but you would need to contact/see the FAQ from the hardware manufacturer (HP, Dell, Gateway, Lenovo, etc) to see if and how.

  Otherwise - you might have to order (pay for possibly) the factory restore/recovery of the value of the manufacturer.

  If you mean that the unit containing your photos is dead and that can still be seen in the catalog, I'm afraid, you can't do anything.

  The thumbnails are stored in a cache file that is a sqlite database. Each thumbnail is stored as a binary field in two very small dimensions: 120 x 160 and 240 x 320 pixels. It is not an image format and I don't think there's a way to extract them.
