How does Oracle 'choose' a block of free data of freelist?

Hello

We could have 10 blocks on the freelist, all empty. How Oracle will begin to be inserted in these? Will it be by choosing one, he fills, before moving on to the next, or is this a case of many blocks being inserted at the same time?

Thank you

This document gives a reasonable explanation.

I am very impressed with this mozilla support. For one I got this detail section filled completely and communication it was not accepted when I pressed the button question post...! Half an hour to write these to the top... GO?

Anyway to be more concise: I see the synchronization preferences page. I chose the stuff on the left side, and my computer is already pre-registered on the bottom.

Other than that how does one choose what to synchronize with (in my case, Safari also can a sync for firefox 'cloud' there to prepare for a clean reinstall? And where would progress & achievement shown?

Sync does not support cross-browser. I have working installation of Firefox Firefox installation only, with the synchronization server in the middle.

The use of the term 'cloud' could be misleading; the data are encrypted and are decrypted in Firefox to be usable. Without the correct hidden 'key' [created from the password] data can not be decrypted and Sync does not connect to attempt to recover the data of the user.

Not recommended to use Sync as a backup media for a clean reinstall of the OS. Some users have done the job, while many others have involuntarily lost their data because of stupid mistakes, they did, and wrong to understand how works the synchronization service.

See this support article for how to back up and restore data in Firefox, which in your profile folder.

  • When and how does the 40 M Reset counter free running?

    Hello friends of LabView,

I use a cRio 9002 controller RT with a chassis of FPGA 9101 and programming for the target FPGA VI.

Now, I would like to know the following:

-What format is the free tick counter 40 MHz running? What maximum ist possible to count?

-What happens if the maximum number is reached? It resets? How long does take?

-Or it just starts beginning with 0 without any time to reset?

    Thank you

    Marco

    Hello Marco,.

using the screws of synchronization for FPGA, you can set the size of the counter internal 8-bit, 16-bit or 32-bit. This size value also sets the maximum possible number, which is the maximum value that can be represented by this record.

There is no setting for this internal counter and he needs no extra time, as noted in LV for 'Number of cycles' help: a free course counter rolls when the counter reaches the maximum value of the internal meter size specified in the configuration dialog box.

I hope that answers your question.

  • How does Oracle MAF support several devices screen

    Hello

I just started working with MAF and then wonder how MAF support devices screen mobile application?

I found that we can customize "icon of application" for the different screen resolution for Android and iOS applications. But how about if I want to have 2 different layout for different screen/devices (such as phone and Tablet).

Am I right to say MAF leave developer managing several screen via CSS and bootstrap as mobile web approach?

    Thank you

    RGS,

    M Lee

    Hello.

There are several ways to handle this.

    1. you can try to build a complex adaptive and responsive presentation in HTML and JavaScript yourself. You will need to test on a variety of devices for Oracle cannot, of course, that test for you.

    2. you can create two separate AMX features: one for phones, the other for tablets. You can define constraints on functions to ensure that the correct path is selected when running. These constraints can check the following:

    • Available height
    • Available width
    • Diagonal size
    • DPI
    • Height
    • Scale factor
    • Width

    3. you can use taskflows in your AMX features and look for the values mentioned above in a router activity, for example. Then, you redirect to AMX pages designed for the appropriate form factor.

Personally, I would choose #2 or #3. The productivity of the AMX components compensates for more effort to build things twice.

The public WorkBetter of the MAF sample uses the #3 strategy; You can take a look in the organizations.xml workflow for an example.

  • How does it choose which table of dimensions to the way to join Server BI

    Hello

I have a question where I join 2 dimensions (user and Department each attached to 3 fact tables).

If I do a query using only the 2 dimension fields, the BI server chooses one of these tables (which seems to be the smallest) to join through. I want to join with another table.

Is it possible to specify what fact OBIEE table will join through, if there is no fact table fields in the query?

    Thank you

    Tim

    Tim,

You must set the column is implicit in your field to achieve this.

  • How to Oracle point home/U01 to the new partition/dev/sdg1 or grid.vmdk?

    People,

Hello. I want to install Oracle 11 g RAC 2 with 2 Virtual Machines (rac1 and rac2). The virtual disk for each virtual computer is 20 GB which is/dev/sda raw device (the partition/dev/sda1 is the same size).

I want to install Oracle 11 g RAC 2 grid using facility location is: home/.../grid/runInstaller. I'm at step 4 of 8 in the wizard whose content is as follows:

    Base Oracle: / u01/11g_grid
    Software localization: / u01/app/grid
    Book of cluster type: ASM
    OSASM group: dba

Then click on the 'next' button I got this error:

'[INS-32021] enough disk space on this volume for the selected Oracle home ".
Cause - the selected Oracle home was on a volume without enough disk space.
Action - choose a location for Oracle home that has enough space (minimum of 3, 017 MB) or free up space on the existing volume. "

I have my 'home' directory using the test command: [host ora11g@rac1] $ df k
    Its output:

File system: / dev/sda1 and tmpfs
    1 K-blocks: 20,308,020 and 848 184
    Used: 18,888,968 and 0
    Available: 370 816 and 848 184
    Use: 99% and 0%
    Mounted on: / and/dev/shm

From the information above, we saw Oracle Home/u01 is under ' / ' (a score) and it's 99% used (not enough space). I've added a new virtual hard disk (10 GB) in VM rac1 grid.vmdk whose raw device is/dev/sdg and partitioned/dev/sdg1.

    My question is:

How to Oracle point home directory/U01 to the new partition/dev/sdg1 or grid.vmdk?

    Thank you.

  • My windows7 32-bit stsrter service Pack 1 dvd is damage. How does this download procedure?

My windows7 starter 32-bit service Pack 1 DVD is damage. How does this download procedure?

Use the following guide to convert a standard Windows 7 disc to include a menu of the version to install.

How choose desired Windows 7 Edition / Version during the installation?
    http://www.askvg.com/how-to-choose-desired-Windows-7-Edition-version-during-Setup/

UPDATE: you can also use a utility free "ei.cfg" removal tool to remove "ei.cfg" file so that you can choose the version you want at installation time. The utility of deleting ei.cfg is a simple tool that will remove the ei.cfg from any Windows 7 ISO disc image, so to convert the image into a "universal" disk that will prompt the user to select an edition during installation.

OR you can use another free "Windows 7 ISO Image edition Switcher" tool to change the "ei.cfg" file so that you can convert a Windows 7 installation ISO specific file (for example Windows 7 Ultimate) edition to another (for example Windows 7 Professional).

This tool works by activating / deactivating the deletion bit in the table of UDF file, eliminating the need unpacking and rebuilding the ISO, which means that it is extremely fast (to patch the ISO to remove ei.cfg takes only a fraction of a second), and the process is easily reversible (by running the utility on a patched by this utility disk image will restore the disk image to its original state).

Now the question is, how do I remove or change the "ei.cfg" file in the Windows 7 Installer?

There are 2 ways! You can extract the contents of the Windows 7 installation ISO file using 7 - Zip and then delete or modify the "ei.cfg" file according to your needs. Its useful if you want to upgrade because you can run the file setup.exe directly from the extracted folder and install Windows 7.

If you want to do a clean install, you can open the ISO file using the "UltraISO" software, "Power" or "MagicISO" and then delete or modify the "ei.cfg" file and save the ISO. Now, you can burn the ISO to a DVD file and install your desired edition of Windows 7.

  • What is efax and how does it work?

    Hello!

eFax® is a service provided by eFax®, not Hewlett-Packard, which allows you to send and receive faxes using the Internet instead of a phone line. eFax® is easy to use, but it is different from a typical telephone fax. You do not need a phone line to use it, so you don't have to worry about busy signals and you can place your printer where you want to, not where the phone plugs are! The fax number you are provided will not generally be a local number and maybe even in a different country. You will receive 20 entrants and 20 pages of outgoing fax per month for free with this service. Your account page will reset at midnight Pacific, the first of each month time. You can also subscribe to eFax® more to get additional pages by month by visiting: http://www.eFax.com/products/internet-fax.

    How does it work?

    Hi Im_cheesecake,

Great information, if you don't mind I just want to piggy back off of your post, to eliminate any likelihood of confusion.

The 20 free incoming & 20 free outgoing faxes are with HP printer which include the impression of the eFax service application.  From now on, we have three series printers that include the application pre-installed print eFax: HP Photosmart 7510 Series, series of 110 HP Envy and HP Photosmart eStation C510a.

eFax also has a free plan that allows you to receive a limited number of faxes, but cannot send faxes. If you exceed the allowed number of received faxes, eFax invite you to upgrade to a paying account. Here are the main Details of the free plan:

    • A (i.e., non-local) eFax number distance
    • Regional/prefix code is selected by eFax and is not editable (except if you upgrade to a paid account)
    • 20 pages of incoming faxes per month (reception only)
    • You are prompted to upgrade to a paid account if you exceed 20 inbound pages, or if you need to send capacity.

  • How is - ISE chooses what IP put in URL redirection response?

    Hello

does anyone know how ISE chooses what IP put in URL redirection response if it has more than one interface with an IP address and all interfaces are enabled in the configuration of the portal?

I have a single ISE 1.3 PSN with all four interfaces configured, enabled, each unique VIRTUAL local network and each with a unique IP address.

In the configuration of the CWA portal, all four interfaces are enabled.

Clients wired to connect to n, n sends RADIUS request to ISE, ISE responds with a RADIUS response including the redirect URL parameter, which specifies the URL redirect web. The ISE configuration uses 'IP' in the URL.

My question is how ISE to choose which of its four interfaces to put in this URL? Is it always the same interface RADIUS packets received on? Or he always chooses the first activated interface Portal? Or is there another logic? Configurable or unconfigurable?

    Thank you!

ISE uses the first interface enabled for this site, so if want to use a specific interface, then only activate this interface.  If the interface is GE0, default behavior is to redirect the ip value domain FULL of the node name.  If interface other than GE0, then the default behavior is to return to the IP address of the associated interface.

Aliases can be configured for each interface using the command "ip host" CLI to associate a domain FULL name/host name to the IP address of a given interface.  Once configured, ISE will return that value instead of the IP address of redirection.  This is critical if want to avoid trust certificate warning on the clients that connect.

Do not forget that the certificate assigned to the interface includes the correct field FULL name or possibly wilcard value in fields CN or SAN to avoid warnings from cert.
