My windows7 32-bit stsrter service Pack 1 dvd is damage. How does this download procedure?
My windows7 starter 32-bit service Pack 1 DVD is damage. How does this download procedure?
Use the following guide to convert a standard Windows 7 disc to include a menu of the version to install.
How choose desired Windows 7 Edition / Version during the installation?
http://www.askvg.com/how-to-choose-desired-Windows-7-Edition-version-during-Setup/
UPDATE: you can also use a utility free "ei.cfg" removal tool to remove "ei.cfg" file so that you can choose the version you want at installation time. The utility of deleting ei.cfg is a simple tool that will remove the ei.cfg from any Windows 7 ISO disc image, so to convert the image into a "universal" disk that will prompt the user to select an edition during installation.
OR you can use another free "Windows 7 ISO Image edition Switcher" tool to change the "ei.cfg" file so that you can convert a Windows 7 installation ISO specific file (for example Windows 7 Ultimate) edition to another (for example Windows 7 Professional).
This tool works by activating / deactivating the deletion bit in the table of UDF file, eliminating the need unpacking and rebuilding the ISO, which means that it is extremely fast (to patch the ISO to remove ei.cfg takes only a fraction of a second), and the process is easily reversible (by running the utility on a patched by this utility disk image will restore the disk image to its original state).
Now the question is, how do I remove or change the "ei.cfg" file in the Windows 7 Installer?
There are 2 ways! You can extract the contents of the Windows 7 installation ISO file using 7 - Zip and then delete or modify the "ei.cfg" file according to your needs. Its useful if you want to upgrade because you can run the file setup.exe directly from the extracted folder and install Windows 7.
If you want to do a clean install, you can open the ISO file using the "UltraISO" software, "Power" or "MagicISO" and then delete or modify the "ei.cfg" file and save the ISO. Now, you can burn the ISO to a DVD file and install your desired edition of Windows 7.

Upgrade means that you can install Windows 7 simply by inserting the Windows 7 upgrade software in the DVD drive of your PC and follow the instructions on the screen. While you are not required to backup and reinstall your files, or reinstall your programs, it is a very good idea to back up your files and settings before you start any upgrade to the software. Windows vista 32-bit update service pack 1 error 80073712 when I try to install.
I tried and tried to install the updated Windows vista 32 bit service pack 1, but also try to update manually, however I continuously get the update error 80073712. I tried the scan tool update service, troubleshooting automatic on the Microsoft Support Web site, as well as research on the Microsoft Answers site for more assistance. However, I still have the same problem, then what else could be the cause so many dell used laptops for not updating this service pack. Either way, I haven't installed service pack 2 either, as I mentioned on some of the answers.
Microsoft says that the operating system is corrupt, so SP1 or SP2 fails. Follow this link for repair.

In addition, the article is ok, but he fails to mention that, after analysis of the Sfc runs, must complete the process.
It is, done Sfc, you must also type: CHKDSK C: /F agree to restart, type: EXIT
restart the pc... When the computer reboots, the repairs are installed/fixed, w/o this cmd, just retry the update is not
possible, installations/repairs, can take place only when the pc is restarted...

Hello
Click Start > right click on computer > left click on properties > see if you have Vista 32 bit or Vista 64-bit installed.
It will also tell you here what Service Packs, if any, are already installed.
Then, choose the download of 'bit' OK to use to install Service Packs, first of all the installation of SP1.
Vista SP1 32-bit (x 86): http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30
Vista SP1 64-bit: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=21299

FIRST: Uninstall IE8 and IE7 if they are installed. Back to all the way back to IE6. You want other patches before you get those. Reboot after doing this.
Hardware and other drivers are too important. Do you have updated those via the web page of the manufacturer of your system model?
Get SP2 (manually) and save it to your desktop. (There's a link here.) [You are a COMPUTER professional for now.] * Do not leave on a USB key if download you it on another computer and copy it to this computer in this way - put it ON the computer.
Install it.
Then restart at least a couple of times for a few minutes between each restart.

I need to install Microsoft NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1, as it is necessary to perform a Dell diagnostic Test, but I've been advised that: Setup has detected that this computer does not meet the requirements to install this software. Requirement: Windows install 3.1.
However, when I look at the download page of Windows Installer 3.1 is not actually as for XP with SP3. I tried anyway and: Setup has determined that the version of Service Pack for this system is newer than the update you are applying. There is no need to install this update. Well actually it is there...
Is there a way to get around this?

Hello
I have a hp Pavilion notebook PC with a new motherboard. After you have installed Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit, I noticed that Windows only recognizes 958 MB 2 GB of RAM installed. No one knows why this is happening and how can I fix or troubleshout the problem?
Thank you, PD777Hello
How is your memory configured? that is, what is 2 x 1 GB modules or module 1 x 2 GB. If the former I would check the physical installation of the modules on the MB memory.
Vista 32 bit should see up to 3 GB, I doubt that it is Vista the cause.
Another thought, are your shared graphics? in some BIOS, it is possible to ask the system to use a fixed amount of RAM the GUI system, this memory will not be included in the complete system.

HARD drive not recognized by Windows Vista Home Edition (32-bit with Service Pack 2)
Windows stopped to recognize external 500 GB drive external HARD on my Ascer Aspire 5610Z attached via the USB port. Have tried two USB ports, but won't recognize the device. Seeing of the device lights up and the device can be played on another laptop. OK worked until a week or two ago, but cannot restore because it's on this unit that the backups are done! the pc is a compaq presario, 2 ghz, 512 MB, I don't know the State of the art, but essential software applications!
I think it was SP3 crashed my pc, because it updated early December 2011 and has never worked since I recovered using tool system recovery but in XP sp1 and I can't seem to find how to get back to sp2.
grateful for pointers
You can upgrade directly from SP1 to SP3.Your system has currently no preinstalled, as trials for McAfee or Norton? It is advised to run their removal tools! Here are the links:Here are the detailed instructions for upgrading from SP1 to SP3:1. download the installation of SP3 and IE8 files. I prefer to keep these on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links to all the installation of three files:
http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=24 (for SP3)
http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=43 (for IE8)
And if you wish, download the Setup file of a good anti-virus program. I recommend Avira free Antivirus:
http://www.Avira.com/en/Avira-free-antivirus
2. disconnect Internet.
3. temporarily disable the automatic updates. To do this:
Start | Control Panel (switch to Classic view if not already selected). Automatic updates
4. install the SP3. Restart TWICE.
5 move to IE8. Restart TWICE.
6. install anti-virus software.
(What happens very often is that someone has their software antivirus running as they try to install SP3, which often translates into chaos! "This is why it must be done after installing SP3 and IE).
7. make sure that firewall Windows is activated (it should be).
(Now you can physically reconnect to the Internet. Update Antivirus program.)
8 visit Windows Update to download and install only the critical security updates. Restart each time you are prompted.
9. reactivate the automatic updates.
After the back if you need guidance.
