  There is an option in the SMS options to 'leave Messages on SIM card' - uncheck the box this and the memory of the device must have enough space to contain a few thousand messages - while the SIM card is limited to 20 or more.

  Unfortunately using the backup and restore feature, the databases on the BlackBerry will just overwrite with the information contained in the backup file. It does not add to data already there.

  I'm afraid you cannot access the SMS Inbox and not either, you can manipulate the messages as soon as they reach the Inbox.
  However, as you already mentioned, you can listen to them on their way to the Inbox.

  Is it possible to have all messages, regardless of type/style, to filter automatically in the Messages folder? It would certainly help the organization time and money.

  Yes.

  You can have all three of those you mentioned go to your main messages folder.

  First of all, for SMS. Open your main messages folder > Menu > Options > General Options > Email and SMS Inbox = combined, then SAVE.

  Second for the BlackBerry Messenger > open BBMessenger > Menu > Options > show Conversations in message list = Yes, then SAVE.

  I have friends with non-Apple devices I have text frequently. Before the latest updates, my SMS messages would pass them quickly. Not now.  I don't know how to make Apple aware of this situation. I sent a direct message to @AppleSupport on Twitter. Not sure how that will be effective.

  Does anyone else have this problem?

  Why would you make Apple aware of a program that has nothing to do with them or the update.

  SMS / text from always a function of carrier and not apple.

  If you are unable to send/receive text you can watch here If you cannot send or receive messages on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support

  If this does not work then contact your cell phone provider and ask them why their functionality does not work on your phone.

  You can not.  But you can craft an SMS so that it does not appear in the Inbox.  This article explains how.

  Most people close the applications by pressing escape or the red button. This does not close the applications.

  Each application has an option CLOSE. For example, if you are in the calendar, press the menu key (spotted) and scroll down to the bottom CLOSE is listed. Go through each application and then press close. Go to the menu press browser and options select cache operations clear all categories and reached escape it will say cleaning memory. If you have the following option:

  Go to options - security - garbage collection - enable. The BB will now clean up the memory when idle for 5 minutes.

  you will have an icon on the screen to clean the memory of you make sure you press it. Make sure that you use the button CLOSE whenever you're done with an application.

  Does anyone know how this can be done? My bbm conversations appear in my list of sms message, but I want that they separated... I checked the options and so that you can separate your SMS & emails, there doesn't seem to be an option to separate SMS of bbm. Just a glitch orrr what?

  I'm a fucking genius! I thought about it. In fact, I did some research on another site of the blackberry forums & got the answer without having to re - download an older version of bbm. Behold, in extenso.

  Basically if you have someone who is a BBM contact and they are "linked" to your contacts. If you send or receive a text on their part, it appears in BBM. How to separate the two is to go in BBM, in the contacts section and for each contact, go to the Menu and click 'Remove the Contacts link' (it's towards the bottom of the menu). Basically, it breaks the link between the BBM and SMS. In my view, that the only drawback is that if you use the image of your contacts for BBM it will no longer appear. Note that if you don't see the option and see instead "Link to BlackBerry Contact" This means that the link was never created so there is no need to break.
