How is it possible to copy a playlist on a USB?

My new car audio system has a USB port and is supposed to be able to play music from a USB 'peripheral '. So, I try to understand how to copy a mix of songs on a USB key. I made a playlist with songs in the order I want. Then I copied the files on the disk. I tried in my car, but it does not seem to recognize the drive. I tried to export the playlist, but all this did was to create a text file.

I could just burn songs to a CD, but CD is not very good. I want songs much more than that and don't want to have to keep changing CD. So, how can I make a playlist that is playable from a USB?

Hello

Turingtest2 has a solution in this thread, but it seems a little complicated. Copy playlist to USB?

  • Is it possible to copy an installation from a USB disc?

How to take a Setup for any program disk and copy its contents to a USB port so that it becomes a USB facility?  In other words, can you do a USB install program that comes on a disk?

Edit: if it was a purchased CD which is protected against copying?  And every CD you buy protected against copying?

Copy and paste all the files to USB.  Right click on the actual Setup.exe and choosing the option "Run As Administrator"?  Perform, even if your user name is an administrator.  If there is no Setup.exe, click the .msi file and follow the prompts.

It may be necessary to show both hidden and system files and also uncheck 'Hide known file types' in Control Panel / folder Options / discovers, for access to, or see, the mentioned files and their file types (extensions).

Auto connecting USB is not readily available due to security issues, so it will be manual installs.

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\AutoPlay include other options that are available to you.

How can I take a picture on a Web page that don't let me use the control C copy command? In other words, on this particular website, I try to highlight a passage I want to register and put in a document, but the highlighting will not work. I asked on this subject, and they simply said that they did not have this facility, but I think that the issue is to protect their copyrighted material. I know there is a way to take a picture of the page, and then I can use my photo editing software to crop and enlarge.

It is an online publication which, AFAIK, is not in a pdf format. Finally, I found that this really works on my laptop was to hold down the Fn (function) key and press control and print screen at the same time. Which records an image of the page in a temporary storage. I can then use Ctrl-V to paste a picture of the page into a word-processing document. Seems to work very well. And I can use scale font size on the bottom of my Microsoft Word page to enlarge for better readability.

Probably put you the folder in the normal position inside the music.  Launch iTunes while holding down the option/alt key and navigate to the iTunes Library.itl file in the folder that you moved.

  • How can I get a copy of the file < windows > \system32\hal.dll.

How can I get a copy of the file \system32\hal.dll.   ?

There are 7 possibilities for the hal.dll file and the installation of XP takes the right one to match your hardware during the installation of XP.

That's why replace a bit difficult because you need to know which of the 7 on the XP installation CD you need.  You can guess and try things and you might get lucky, or you can try them all.  That would take some time and probably be frustrating and you would need a CD bootable XP installation genuine to start the trials and errors.

Replace the hal.dll file becomes even more difficult, because most of the people do not have a genuine XP bootable installation CD, even if they wanted to replace the hal.dll file.  If you really want just a copy, you can understand that one you need or just copy the one you already have.

Unfortunately, the Microsoft Answers don't ask for enough information when a new question is asked to provide you with a good idea for your problem not specified.  For all that is your problem not specified, you will need to provide additional information.

If you see the message that your hal.dll file is missing or damaged, the chances are that the file is not really missing or damaged... Windows XP just can not find the file.

Fix hal.dll "missing or corrupted" message is usually not too demanding and has nothing to do with the replacement of the file.

Maybe someday the dialog box 'ask a question' forums XP will ask these questions automatically when a new thread is started so I don't have to ask every time.  It might even be possible to solve a problem in a single response when enough information is provided.

Please provide additional information on your system:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

What you see you don't think you need to see?

What do not you think that you should see?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

  • How to make a backup copy of my Sansa Fuze 2 GB

Hello! Can someone tell me how to make a backup copy of my Sansa Fuze 2 GB. I'm going to replace because the wheel is not working properly and I ask (the agent on the Technical Support) on all my music that I have on my MP3 and they tell me to make a copy, but whenever I downloaded on Windows Media Player, I can listen to, but as soon as I disconnect my MP3, I can't play anymore. Can someone help me please, I don't want to lose all my music. Or as a matter of fact again downloaded (too many site to visit again)

You can manually copy your music from the device to the computer using Windows Explorer, often referred to as 'My Computer' or just 'computer' in different versions of Windows by drag-and-drop, or open the Windows Media Player and "copy of the device" after clicking on the tab sync.

It is also possible to copy works by using an application like Media Monkey too.

Many people confused if the Sansa was initially loaded using never WiMP, many are realizing that the application works in both directions.

Remember, it is important to always have a backup of your music!  It will save you grief!

  • How to synchronize a WMP playlist on a USB

I have a bunch of MP3s at home I organised with Windows Media Player 11 on my desk.

I want to put some of these playlists on a USB key, so my wife (who is not a computer genius) can play songs to his students on his computer at the school during art classes. Note that she has to play the songs of the USB and cannot import to the computer's music library, because it gets erased every morning (it's a policy at her school to restore the computer to the same State from each AM).

This looks like it should be easy to do, but I tried to do it for a month now, and I keep hitting a few insurmountable snags.

First thing I tried to do is to sync the playlist on the USB as follows:
    -Put the USB in
    -Open WMP
-Right click on the list of reading and then "add to sync list."
-Go to the sync window, and then click Start Sync (which shows the USB drive letter)

This transfers actually all MP3 playlist on the USB.

But it is not copy the actual .wpl file.

No problem... I just manually copy the file .wpl on the USB.

Songs played very well from my computer at home, but not to the computer of my wife's work. The reason is that the paths of the MP3 files in the. WPL file were absolute paths that refer to the original Pathé on the PC, not the paths of the USB.

So, I opened the. WPL file and substited all paths so that they are related. For example, what has been "C:\Users\Alain\Music\etc..." becomes"... \Music\etc...". (I had copied manually the.) WPL file to the path of the musique\selections on the USB).

    It worked, sort of...

My wife was able to play the playlist on his computer at work, but if she made any change to the reading list (ex: remove a track she did not), then WMP would eventually rewrite the paths of the. MP3 files, so that they are absolute paths to files in the library of music on the C: drive. Needless to say that these paths do not exist on the C: drive of my wife. They exist only on the USB key.

Of course, there is a bug in WMP.  To try to work around this problem, I replaced the paths of the selection to absolute paths that point to the USB key. In other words, "C:\User\alain\Music\etc" was susbtituted to 'G:\Music\etc '.

I didn't like this idea, because it works on computershere that the USB is tagged as G: and even there, the letter that is assigned to the key depending on what other USB devices USB box you connected to the computer and in what order. But I thought that I had no choice and in any case, my wife does not use too many USB devices to work, and she always listens to music on the same computer. So, in most cases, his USB stick will be the letter G:.

But it STILL DOESN 'T WORK!

The reason is that when WMP sync MP3 files on the USB, it actually changes the names of files and directories. For example, WMP ended by removing the hyphen in the following path:

    "Tiersen\Tabarly - B.O.F Yann Tiersen Yann"

and replaced it with a space, as well as on the USB, it acctually appears in the form:

    "Yann Yann Tiersen B.O.F Tiersen\Tabarly"

But in the. WPL file, the path is the hyphen in it, and therefore, even after the substitution of 'C:\user\alain\Music' to 'G:\Music', the file is not found.

To resolve this issue, I must try to play hundreds of songs on the USB, to identify those who don't play, figure, or is it that the new path, change this in manually the. WPL file that is located on the USB.

I have to do EVERY time that I synchronize a new version of the. WPL file for the USB key.

Now, which is becoming a little too crazy for me.

Am I the only one to experience this kind of problems? If someone has been able to find an easy way to synchronize playlists with a USB key so that they can be played from any PC without having to import songs in the library?

    THX.

    Hello

It is, for all purposes useful, not a supported configuration.  You must copy the files to a local drive.

If you wish to continue using technology in this way, you can use find and replace the functionality of wordpad to edit the file.

Another option you could possibly use is to create the environment variables for your script:

  • White lines fixed with optimization of the art - is - it possible to copy with this setting?

I have seen discussions on the white lines, you get on the edges of the objects due to anti-aliasing in Illustrator, and I found that when exporting, you can remove them by setting 'optimized art' in one of the options there.

For those who do not know the issue of the white line:

Sometimes, when the Illustrator blend the pixels around an object, it puts a thin white line around it that always appears 1 thick px any zoom level.

Not really there and when it printed disappears. Trouble is, even when you export the document, or a copy of objects in other software for the use of the screen, it's still there.

Many people think that white line is a tiny space, but it is not.

People also tend to tell you that it is because you have two objects butted against another. Also, this is not true. The white line persists even on overlapping forms.

People will also say it is when two shapes on top of the other follow the same path. Yet once, is not true. White lines appear even when you have only 1 object following a particular path.

My problem is that I rarely export an entire document at once, but tend to copy items to it in Photoshop. When I do, the white lines traveling with her and becomes permanent. Even on a .jpg, .png, or .gif image file, the lines are still visible.

What I want to know is, is it possible to copy objects in Illustrator using optimization of art?

Or y at - it another way to copy them without taking these white lines with me?

I know that I can get rid of them by turning anti-aliasing off the coast, but everything really looks pixelated, so it is not much better.

In addition, anti-aliasing is not actually solve the problem, it just hides it. Even with the power off, when I copy the affected objects to Photoshop, the white lines reappear in Photoshop.

And please don't bother the answer for me, explaining what the white lines are, or how to get rid of them or how to lose them in the export. I know all that.

    Notes:

    I'm under Illustrator CS6

    And Photoshop CS6

    Helmer,

I wonder if this may be useful, or is simply ridiculous. I apologize if this last.

If you can use a Raster object to copy into Photoshop, you try to use the object > rasterize and set Anti-Aliasing for Art Optimized, can see.

  • How to move permanently to read different Playlist?

I use the latest version of iTunes (12.4.3) on my mac and I wonder if it is possible to switch permanently to a different playlist reading.

On my iPhone, if I'm in the middle of a song, but I want to move to another selection, I can simply pick the song that I currently play in the new playlist (as it is here). The song restart and future songs will only be from this new playlist.

If I try to do it on my mac, the song starts from the new playlist. The closest thing I've found is to add playlist to "to the top following", but it returns to the previous selection once these songs were played.

Is it possible to switch between playlists without interrupting the music?

Before you start playing the second selection, go in the next window to the top and click on 'clear '.
