How is it that windows movie maker has prepared a video for playback quality

It was not used to do but now she prepares to video for playback quality, I don't want to I know that sounds strange, but it takes forever to do if there is a lot of videos or if the video is long so how can I disable this function I updated and since then there this preparation video message and I want to know how to turn it off and I tried to uninstall it and reinstall it but when I get it installed, once it has always the same thing, I don't know how to get out of there so I don't have to wait if a long time when I have a movie to do and my computer is fast, but it's just that it takes ages to prepare the video if I have a long movie , so if someone could help me I would really appreciate it

Just a guess...

Have you ever used Windows Vista Movie Maker 6
and are now using Windows Live Movie Maker?

Try to return to Vista Movie Maker 6... It should always
be available in your Start Menu.

Windows Movie Maker comes pre-installed with Vista, and according to the guidelines of your error message, I would say that you have Vista.

  • Message "Windows movie maker has stopped working".

    Original title: Windows Movie Maker

When you use Windows Movie Maker - the application generates the error message "Windows movie maker has stopped working" and close.  What happened several times.  What can I do to prevent this?  I use Windows 7 and Movie Maker 2011.

Not sure, but have you tried to reinstall WLMM, or perhaps fix?

See - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938275/en-gb and try the repair option first.

Also, make sure that your graphics card and your PC sound card drivers are up to date. Go to the manufacturers technical support for your PC brand and model site and see if there are newer drivers supported. If there is, and the repair does not help, try them. Make a restore point on your PC first, and if you like you should be able to "roll back" to your existing installation if you need to.

You can also try a SFC/scannow to see if that detects and repairs problems of any OS if the above does not help.

  • Film shot in Windows Movie Maker crashes after 6 seconds during playback in Windows Media Player

I have a film created (1 minute, 20 seconds) in Windows Movie Maker of two short videos to YouTube.  The original files were .mp4 files and I converted the .wmv files.  I cut 7 seconds since the start of the first video and just linked the two original videos into one.  No special effects.  Plays well in Windows Movie Maker.  Save the file as an .mswmm file (required by Movie Maker) and then published as a .wmv.  When I play it in Windows Media Player, he plays for 6 seconds, then freezes, but the bottom bar is moving, as if he is playing.  I tried to do the same thing without clipping 7 seconds from the beginning - same result.  I used WINFF (free Converter).  Any ideas?  Thanks for your help.

    Hello RachelPierce,

    1. what happens when you try to play the files with Windows Movie Maker?

This problem can be caused by codecs supporting not the file that you created. If you use a converter, I suggest that you convert the files to MPEG format and verify if you are able to play the files.

  • Windows Movie Maker has stopped play mpg videos

    Hi all

I've been using Director windows for more than two years for my movie editing video canon. I always convert the canon film to video files .mpg, like this is done by one of the canon utility. After that, I import videos to movie maker window. All of a sudden I have seen I am unable to read the video portion. However, it plays the audio pat. It gives no error as well.

Please let me know what could be the possible reasons for this problem and how to solve this problem.

    Hello

    ·        Remember to make changes to the system?

    ·        Are you able to play the file formats using Director of windows?

Normally, something like that, the problem is resolved by downloading and reinstalling the latest Microsoft codec packs. Click on the link below.

  • Windows Movie Maker-impossible to capture videos

Movie Maker has been so easy...

I almost gave up.  It was so easy with Movie Maker XP to create quality DVD videos.  Less than 7, I can't capture anything.  I had to buy a new webcam.  My old HD quality video camera is not recognized.  Previously, I spent about 3 hours to create a pleasant 10-minute video edited with pieces imported to import to a well know video sharing site.  With Windows 7, I've probably spent 40 hours and I can't say that I have 1 second of captured video yet.  Unfortunately, my next purchase can come from a competator...

Unless I can get Windows 7 to recognize my camera, I'm going to have capture my video using a XP machine and then save on a USB stick and transfer it to my Windows 7 computer.  Once this is done, I can import into WMM 2.0 or 2.6 (I have two now).

I wonder if I could pass in "XP" Mode and get the machine to recognize my camera... I might have to experience this. Not the best solution, but perhaps viable work around...

  • Windows Movie Maker - sound only, no video is displayed

Using the Director to download my video noise is get recorded. Black screen is displayed on the video section. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? I checked the help on the program and measures diplay window all correctly until I try to capture the segment, then no video.

Whenever you get a black screen for video and audio played correctly, this means that you do not have the right video codec installed on your computer. To solve this problem, the simplest method is to install an application called MediaInfo on your computer, so that you can analyze the video file and see which codec you need to install. This tutorial on sound with no picture in Windows Media Player mentions the problem, that is the question even if it occurs in Windows Movie Maker or Windows Media Player.
