How is the device is connected to the USB 1 or USB 2 port?

My motherboard has USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 ports, but it is impossible to determine which is which by Visual inspection.  I have hooked up a USB 2.0 device and wants to determine the port on which it is actually hooked up to.  I looked in the "Device Manager" but can't seem to find anything by having feature at the speed where the data can be transferred to.  I use Windows 7 x 64 Pro.

My friend has a Mac and which hang the appliance up to its USB 2.0 port known then check system information, it clearly shows the device and data rate, which happened at about 480 Mbps of transfer.  It seems that this information would also be available in windows.

  • How a detector of fuel level on the USB/serial port to indicate the level of the interface?

    Hello!
    Im working on a project that contains a fuel level (capacitive sensor) sensor. My task is to connect the sensor to a PC and indicate the level of fuel on a chart. The instrument works with 1-wire communication, but Ive built a USB converter for it. So I want to plug it into the USB port on the computer and use Labview to access the fuel level. Its important, I need indicate level constantly, because the probe will build in a bus to see his level of fuel. I've never used instrument in LV control, that is why now wrote im.

    Please can someone help me build a VI to do this?

    Thank you very much

  • How make the USB auto-ouvrir its Nav Pane folder when I plug. Vista for this? __

    In the Navigation pane (what I call the directory root - no?), when I plug a USB key, I have to click on the folder "Computer" to open it, then the folder of USB stick to open that in order to be able to drag files from the hard drive to the files inside. The bookmarks bar is useless, it's just a subfolder in the "Favourites", just as boring the USB folder and is not yet open USB folder in the Nav pane. I can't find a way to make the USB auto-ouvrir its Nav Pane folder when I plug. Vista can do this?

    This is a Windows update that addresses the functionality of Autorun.  I don't know if it can solve your problem, but it can facilitate some of the following solutions or allow them to work if Vista is up to data: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971029.

    Here's how to use Autorun with a USB Flash drive that can solve your problem (but it is a bit Advanced): http://www.samlogic.net/articles/autorun-usb-flash-drive.htm.

    Here is a free download which probably fix the AutoPlay in Vista and XP (when I insert my flash drive, a menu popss send me the optios including by studying the disk and when you click it it starts at the root of the drive, and I think that should happen with your USB key as well). http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/01/15/cleanhandlers-free-download-autoplay-cleanup-utility-for-xp-and-vista/.  I don't know if this will help, but it may solve the problem.

    Here is another article with a procedure of activation autorum for USB drives.  I think you want to insert explorer.exe as filename to open Windows Explorer. http://www.pctipsbox.com/how-to-autorun-programs-from-usb-flash-drive/.

    Here's yet another article on how to set up automatic execution for a USB key: http://www.dailycupoftech.com/usb-drive-autoruninf-tweaking/.

    I hope that one or more of these items helps solve your problem and allow you to do what you want to do with the USB.

    Good luck!

  • How configure the USB camera that is not image Directshow

    Hello

    I use NEITHER-IMAQ for USB to retrieve videos from DVC170 of Pinnacle's Dazzle. There is an error indicating the system error, see the attached file. Someone has replied that it is because my USB device isn't a directshow image. In fact, Dazzle DVC 170 connects camcorders with computer. He got out Svideo connection camcorder and a USB port, computer connection. In this case, VISA can be used to configure USB and take video? Thank you.

    Hi HxL,

    Of course, you can do the programming activex using your labview package. For more details, go through the examples.

  • How do the 5 server not listening on ports 80 and 443

    I want to configure an Apache Server on a Linux virtual machine (using the last VirtualBox) on my Mac running El Capitan 10.11.3.

    5.0.15 server is already running on the Mac (and I want to keep it, with the exception of web services). I have disabled the sharing in the web server user interface, but it was not enough, Apache listening ports 80 and 443, prohibiting VirtualBox to listen to them and transmits them to the Linux virtual machine.

    So I put comment out these lines in /Library/Server/Web/Config/Proxy/apache_serviceproxy.conf:

    #listen 80

    #listen 443

    8008 #listen

    #listen 8800

    8443 #listen

    8843 #listen

    After a restart, Apache seems not to listen to ports 80 and 443 more. However, VirtualBox does not become the listener. I tried this command in the Mac terminal:

    -i sudo lsof: 80

    and nothing has been returned, suggesting that something in OS X still prevents VirtualBox to listen to ports 80 and 443. If I try to convey some random host port of Mac to port 80 in the virtual machine, then I can my virtualized server access from Safari on the Mac host via the custom port said. But I would use the standard port 80.

    Any help really appreciated.

    Instead of commenting, assign a specific IP for the server listen instead of * (which means that all the IP addresses). This is only to the server on port 80 and 443 in this config file. I sometimes give an additional IP address to the Ether. Your Linux Machine can connect to the second IP address or the first initial assigned to your server depending on your configuration.

    Server is very aggressive in it's use ports, he leaves so all services to operate, even if you have the use of ports to other IP addresses.

  • Devices not recognized unless it is connected through a USB expansion port

    Came to use a scanner that was not used for some time and unrecognized device.  Tried reloading drivers, but still no good. Bought the new scanner/printer combo, but not recognized after loading software.  Finally managed to make it work via WiFi. Thought, I'd better try another material... iPOD touch... "unrecognized ', Sony e-raeder..." not recognized '... panic!  Has finally got the devices to be recognized by the connection via an expansion Belkin 4 port hub.  Any ideas on how to solve the problem of USB ports not recognize my hardware when connected directly.

    Have you tried to update the drivers from the chipset manufacturer of PC or motherboard manufacturers websites?

  • ESXi 6 - unable to connect the USB device to VM

    Hi people:

    I have a problem with a specific USB 3 device to try to connect to a virtual computer.  The device is a Toshiba USB 3 5 TB hard drive, and it is recognized by ESXi I see when I do a lsusb command, but it is never offered as a choice available to connect to a virtual computer.  I tried to restart management agents, restart ESXi with the connected device so that it is immediately detected at startup.  I tried using the web client to vcenter server appliance and the native client C.  She just never appears as a choice just as if it is not there.  Other USB 3 devices, including a Startech gigabit network device and another 2 TB Toshiba USB drive appear as a choice, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with USB 3 devices as a whole.  I have connected to other computers and even an Arch Linux VM under the same ESXi which has a Startech USB 3 connected via PCI Passthrough controller and it works in all places.  I tried to connect to a USB 2 port just for the heck of it, and I got the same result (invisible to virtual machines) here is what information I have via the newspapers.  I see a few entries on the device being suspended in the vmkernel journal, but I don't know if it is normal for a device until it is assigned to a virtual computer.

    Any ideas what is wrong or how to fix welcome.

    Hi guys, I just had the same issue and it resolved on my test environment.

    I got the device ID using "lsusb".

    Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0480:d011 Toshiba America information. Systems, Inc..

    where 0480:d011 is the device ID

    Then ran the following command:

    oddities s esxcfg-module = 0480:d011:i usb-storage

    After a reboot I was able to cross the device for my VMs.

    I'm not an expert in this field, as far as I can understand of this thread: problem mit USB Passthrough (eine andere nicht, geht HDD) - to vSphere5 / ESXi 5.0 5.1 - VMware Forum und "usb-storage" module crashes when you try to access the drive and does not pass through to the arbitrator of the usb. The person in this thread turns off the usb storage but I boot from USB and so I couldn't do it. Steal the idea of this thread: zero calorie tech deals: VMFS formatted USB sticks in VMware vSphere 5.1 I could exclude the USB from the usb-storage module device (I think).

    I have not tested how this affects other features, but initial test is positive.

  • Transfer of data to my laptop via the USB port has ended

    Data transfer to my laptop (digital scale) via USB ends with the following message in the software scales: "an error occurred during the transfer of data, the device must be reconnected.  As this took place (worked before), can this be a problem with Windows Update?

    Hi Pahov,

    1. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?
    2. the problem occurs with any particular file/USB?
    3. What is the brand of USB?

    This problem may occur when there is a lot of traffic on the USB 2.0 hub, and you transfer files to a USB device or a low speed full speed. The problem does not occur when you transfer files to a USB device at high speed.

  • Connect new Macbook (USB - C) to dual-link DVI display?

    I have a new Macbook (12 inches, retina - love), with a single USB - C. I also have a (old) Apple Cinema HD Display that would like the dual-link DVI connector.

    How can I connect these two together?  It doesn't seem to be a combination of Apple adapters/connectors that will do the job for me.

    You must first of all the USB - C for HDMI av digital multiport adapter.

    http://www.Apple.com/shop/product/MJ1K2AM/A/USB-c-Digital-AV-multiport-adapter

    Then an adapter HDMI / DVI

    http://www.Apple.com/shop/product/MJVU2AM/A/Apple-HDMI-to-DVI-adapter

    Connect together and on the USB - C port adapters.  Then connect a cable to the HDMI DVI to DVI for the Cinema Display and the USB of the cinema screen to the av multi port USB - C USB cable.

  • Connect MacBook 2015 USB - C for a DisplayPort 2560 x 1440

    On this page Apple says you can connect the USB - C port on my new MacBook to an output such as HDMI, VGA and DisplayPortvideo.

    I can't figure out how. The USB - C Digital AV card Multiport supports HDMI but not DisplayPort.

    Also I can't know if the port USB - C Digital AV card Multiport HDMI supports a resolution of 2560 x 14450 on a 27 "screen.

    Hi Jon0909,

    The error that you received can be for several reasons. I suggest you try the following steps:

    Method 1: Run the fixit available in the link below and check if that makes a difference

    Tips for solving problems of USB devices

    Method 2: This normal matter as a result of a conflict between the USB and other USB (Universal Serial Bus) connected to the computer.

    (a) disconnect all the external devices connected to the computer to expect the mouse and keyboard, check if your USB key works.

    (b) If this solves the problem, and then add back both devices until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue.

    If the problem persists, you can contact the manufacturer of the device for any known issues

  • How to register for an event when the device is connected to the PC in USB mode or sync

    I develop application on blackberry with phonegap.

    I want to hear event when the BlackBerry device is connected to the PC by USB MODE or sync.
    I saw mediagallery and applications Filemanager showing the dialogue that the application cannot be used when connected to the PC in USB mode.
    I want to display dialog similar to my request.
    Can anyone please help on how to do it.

    I saw blackberry webworks API

    public static Boolean blackberry.system.isMassStorageActive)

    who says if massstorage is active or not.

    But I can't keep on request this API every time. I'm looking for an API that gives me the reminder.

    Can you please help.

    On the side of Java, this can be done by implementing a FileSystemListener and the rootChanged method:

    public void rootChanged(final int state, String rootName) {
        if (rootName.equalsIgnoreCase("sdcard/")) {
            if (state == FileSystemListener.ROOT_ADDED) {
                /* SD Card is available. */
            } else if (state == FileSystemListener.ROOT_REMOVED) {
                /* SD Card is not available. */
            }
        }
    }

    I was not able to find a corresponding WebWorks API or API community well, so I think you need to create your own custom extension to implement this feature of the listener.

  • How to read the data in a device connected to the usb port

    Is there a class or object, or the piece of code in Java that is comparable to the PDQComm32.ocx and the mscomm32.ocx used in VB6? I need to know how to read the data of a device plugged into the usb port of the BBerry. Is it possible to use the BB to read data from a device via a usb cable?

    I'm new in Java and I'm looking for the opportunity to write a project to read the data in a device with this program that can turn on a BB instead of on a pc.

    Thank you

    Did you watch net.rim.device.api.system.USBPort?

    That's what the doc says:

    Provides access to the USB port of the device.

    Avoid using this class in applications, as it is not portable. On the contrary, if you need to access the USB port, use factory CLDC Connector to serve a connection.
