How much power for AMD - A - 3670K, 1 TB 7200 HDD and a Samsung EVO 120 G SSD?

I have a HP P6-2376 with a Holly2 MoBo and it came with a 300W power supply.

I want to install a Samsung SSD of EVO to run WIN8 OS and also have a 1 TB 7200 RPM HARD drive.

I have a 8 G or DDR3 1600 memory and currently have the AMD APU A4-3420, but am upgrading to the A6 - 3670 K.

My current diet is adequate, from a 65W APU to an APU 100W so the new SSD?

Thank you.

Warhorse99, welcome to the forum.

If it was me, I do the upgrades and see if an upgrade of the power supply is necessary.  It does not simply there is not enough power, but one thing is not custom.

I just installed a Samsung EVO 840 500 GB, SSD.  I was given advice on installing it.  Connect the SSD to one of the other SATA connectors on the motherboard.  Let your HARD drive connected at the moment.  Then download and run the Samsung Data Migration tool.  Clone of the legacy of the SSD drive.  It was extremely easy.  When the migration is unplug the HARD drive and start.  My SSD started without a change in the BIOS.  Once the SSD is installed, you can also use "Samsung magician" to optimize for.  It is on the disc that came with the SSD drive.  The Migration of data from Samsung tool instructions are on the same page.  Make sure that the amount of data on the HARD drive is more than the amount that fits on the SSD.

Is it possible that I can see how much space is being taken up by all my emails and their attachments? If I right click on an email it tells me the size, but if I try to highlight all emails the properties button is grayed out.

For Windows Live Mail, go to C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail, right-click on the folder and select Properties.

You may need to show hidden files. Type the Folder Options in the search box above the Start button and select view advanced settings and check that the box "display files and folders" and 'Hide protected operating system files' are not checked. You may need to scroll down to see the second element. You should also make sure that the box before "Hide extensions of known file types" is not checked.

  • How much space for Time Machine backups

    Hello

Is there a rule for how much space you may want to allow for Time Machine backups?

I would like to partition the drive to have a room reserved for Time Machine back ups only.  I realize that it is a personal preference.

Each individual backup occupies approximately 790 GB.  But somehow I have 6 months of backups that supposedly take up only 880 GB on the disk.

At this time the backups of my other drive back to 6 months in time.

Fortunately, I never had to go back a few more days to recover a file.

Is there a reasonable amount of space to allocate for backups, based on current usage of disk?

    Thank you

Minimum would, of course, the size of the internal drive.

    Double the quantity is sufficient

Triple the amount if you want a value years from TM backups

I am convinced that these are independent external drives from your main hard drive of Machines

  • SG100D - 08 p - how much power per port?

Hi all.  The Cisco documentation goes on to say '33.6W' dedicated power budget.  I'm new to PoE, but what this cdoesn can't answer is if you can get all the 33W on e to asingle port if you want to, or is it a share of about 8. xW by port.  I would like to connect an AP541N for example, which has a maximum circulation of 9.9W, so a single port on the SG100D - 08 p must support that much.

I'm sure that PoE is designed to facilitate a port unequal distribution else you would be stuck with a single type of device on all ports of a same switch, but I want o confirm if I can.  Thank you!

Hi, the Valley of the switch cannot provide more than 12.95 Watts per port. 802.3af specifies 15.4 watts which results in maximum actual 12.95 per port.

The maximum budget would be 33.6w for the switch set in the 802.3af parameter.

It can supply enough all class 3 poe (up to 3) device and enough power up to 8 class 1 device poe and 4 class 2 poe devices

  • How much CPU for my VM?

    Hello

I'm currently learning how use ESXI (free version) and I have created a basic server that is currently running a virtual (Windows 2008 R2) machine. I've seen some people say that you should only set the machine to use 1 CPU. I wonder if there is any disadvantage or reasoning behind it, that my machine is Dual Core I had to perfer using two cores, as we simply lose at the moment.

The machine works really well. I initially installed Windows 2008 R2 with the 2CPU parameter and it was fine, but I updated 1cpu after reading some forums, I have not really noticed much of a difference however.

If I use the two hearts, I can add another virtual machine at a point in the future it would be still a problem having the value 2 to the virtual computer using 2 CPU, devrais I then put them both to one of each?

    Thank you.

Function of the CPU load, you might be able to get between 5 and 8 vCPUs by heart so would you be able to add an another VM in the future without problem.  Let your VM with just a single vCPU.  When you add an another VM also give him a single vCPU.  ESXi Resource Scheduler will ensure that your virtual machines CPU load is distributed between the physical hearts of your system more effectively.

  • Instructions for the replacement of 1 TB of HDD with Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD in XPS 15

Can anyone recommend a set of instructions to replace the factory equipped 1 TB HDD with a SSD 1 TB in a XPS 15 (9530, model end 2013)?  I thought it might be a simple case of the SSD HARD drive cloning and exchanging players, but when I did it I got an error message at startup saying that I needed to make a repair - I na not to note the exact error, but he asked for the Windows installation disc.

I don't really want to do a new install of Windows from scratch, unless absolutely necessary.

    Thanks a lot in anticipation!

    Hi Paulemm,

You must use the Dell backup utility and restore to prepare a set of recovery disks. Those can then be used to load the operating system on the new drive. This is the best approach.

Power management for hard drive in the control panel offer 1 framework that applies to all readers.

    1. assuming that all readers have disabled for inactivity. If one of the disks are requested locally or on the network, will be then just that turn a drive upward or all readers on the spin from the computer to the top?

    2. is it possible to manage power for readers options individually?

3 - is the feature of power for hard disk management change between XP, Vista and 7?

    Thank you

    Hi amps2007,

Windows XP, Vista and 7 do not support this feature.
You have to look at 3rd party management of electricity in order to have the Player control you're wanting.
    I hope this helps.

  • How much memory can I mount in a Tecra M10 - 1CN?

How much memory can I mount in a Tecra M10 - 1CN and should be in two 200 pin SO DIMM DDR2 PC2-6400 800 MHz modules

    Hello

Expand the memory depends on the chipset of the motherboard
The Tecra M10 supports the chipset Mobile Intel GM45 Express and this chipset DDR2 800 MHz RAM 8 GB max

So first of all, that you can use 2 x 4 GB RAM modules, and on the other hand the speed of memory is limited to 800 MHZ.

Even if you use faster modules i.e. 1033 Mhz FSB would clock speed to 800 Mhz so it s not worth to use faster than the DDR2 800 Mhz modules

How many slots for ddr2 in my M100-221 notebooks? And where I get instruction to change memory?

    Hello

Sorry, but I really can't understand you. On the low side in the Middle it is placed memory fixed with a screw cover. Is it so complicated to remove this screw and look inside?

In any case in your unit there are 2 slots available. Memory upgrade you need not all the manuals. Buy the right compatible memory module, remove the cover and put it in the location empty.
