How re-start at level of windows 8 for windows 8.1?
We have an ASUS laptop comes with windows 8, purchased new on the MS. Store It has no DVD player. We went to 8.1, must have been in the App Store of Ms. A few weeks ago, we could no longer connect, even in safe mode. I did a refresh USB on my Surface Pro 3 and used to refresh the windows. That put it back to Windows 8. To put again to 8.1, it seems that we have all the hotfixes that have been installed in 8.0 first. So we have all but 1 Update re-installed (which keeps failing) and it seems to be related to bitlocker, which need to be installed, but not necessarily used. To install bits-locker, I try to open "Turn on or off windows features" and it says I must register windows. As the windows product key is found on a sticker on the computer, I used Produkey to get from the bios. However windows says it is an invalid key.
(1) is the boot of Windows Refresh USB I created equal to the type of license that he did? I did it on a 3 Surface Pro, which I'm pretty sure is a different license type this that ASUS has (OEM I guess). And who would question here?
(2) what I think now is that the windows BIOS key was crushed when we upgraded to windows 8.1 and 8.0 windows cannot accept this key 8.1. Can someone confirm that the bios windows key gets crushed or how to recover my windows 8 keys in this case?
(3) is there another way to re-upgrade to windows 8.1 via the App Store of MS without first installing all important patches?
Thank you!
Vince
Thanks Jayant! I found that I was finally able to install KB2920189 first upgrading my version UEFI from 203 to 210. Then after that, I installed all the remaining plots and could then install windows 8.1 new!
Thank you for your time.

How to start the program before windows 7 user logon
I already know how to start a program when a user logs on to Windows 7. * (Not easy to find, but once you know the trick, it's simple as pie: place a shortcut in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup). So don't answer that. I already know that.
But my question is this:
How can I get the same program to launch * before * the users logon? I want the program start when Windows restarts.
This program does not require the user's privileges - does not open the files, etc., except access to (of course) its location in C:\Program Files (x 86) / folder.
(What, you may ask? I would like to launch a program of Wake-on-LAN to send a "magic packet" to a computer on the local subnet to sleep. Asleep computer happens to host some of the shared data).
If you want to start until the user opens a session, you will have to start as a service.
This is the boot sequence for the main registry keys, starting immediately after reading bootmgr and ending with the program shortcut entries in the two startup folders.
1 HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\BootExecute. This may include instructions to schedule chkdsk runs, but not the user programs.
2 services start ensuites, followed by the keys of registry RunServicesOnce and RunServices (if present)
3. the user then connects to the system
4 HKLM Winlogon, Userinit. This indicates that the program C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe, and the entry ends with a comma. Other programs can be started from this key by adding and separated by a comma.
5 HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Shell. This must contain an entry, explorer.exe.
6. program entered into these key 2 registry for all USERS start following:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and \RunOnce
7. program entered into these 2 registry for the CURRENT USER key start following:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and \RunOnce
8. programs in startup of all records users and current user are started last of all.
Important as antivirus and firewall programs begin early in the sequence as Services. The icons that appear in the Notification area (at the bottom right of the screen) is just their user interfaces, i.e. options and preferences.
The additional location of 32-bit applications on a 64-bit computer is HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node and HKCU.

How to start viClient &; Login when Windows starts
Actually it's maybe a stupid question but for some less techie or low-level administrators, this can be useful in some situations.
Especially if we need help from other admins, but do not want to release our passwords.
I have a job I have run 2 x viClient for the PRD VMware vCenter VDI VIew VMware vCenter respectively.
-Click the shortcut of viClient
-Choose the vCenter in menu drop-down (or type it in)
-Enter the ID user & PW (I normally use Windows logon credentials)
Is it possible to automatically open a session:
1. start the viClient for the PRD VMware vCenter when workstations Win7 boot?
2. run the viClient at the sight of VMware vCenter when workstations Win7 boot?
3. start the viClient for the VirtualCenter of VMware RDP via a shortcut or a batch file?
4. start the viClient for the VMware View VirtualCenter via a shortcut or a batch file?
Try to change the properties of the shortcut to
"C:\Program Files (x 86) \VMware\Infrastructure\Virtual Infrastructure Client\Launcher\VpxClient.exe" s u user_name Pei Secret Server
or
"C:\Program Files (x 86) \VMware\Infrastructure\Virtual Infrastructure Client\Launcher\VpxClient.exe" s server - passthroughAuth
If you use Windows authentication.
Don't have not tried, but if you want the client autostart, it might work if you add shortcuts to the startup folder.

How to start in Administrator in Windows 7
I only account in Windows 7 and it is an administrator account, but there is some actions can't preform unless I'm registered as an adiminstrator.
How can I register as an administrator? Are you referring to the dialog box titled "do allow you the following program to make changes to this computer?
Is confirmation that the program can run & does not necessarily indicate that there is a problem with your admin, your computer account or any application you are trying to install the search. It is to the confirmation of this process rather than forcing you to repeat a login name.
These confirmations are required, even if you are already signed in as an administrator and will occur whenever the operation you are trying to make is that only an administrator can do.

If you don't have one account on the computer and then, if the user profile of the account never became corrupt, you'd have a serious problem. In addition, with the help of an Admin to fixed routine operations you open to specific types of malware attack - see Why use a standard account instead of an administrator account? [you can also see the information in the help file on the computer management dialog box if you do not use the Web link]
Create two new accounts protected by Admin password. Trial in you accounts logging on each of them & create a password reset disk for each of them. Downgrade your account to a standard user account for all the day-to-day operations the day and make a password reset disk for it as well. You do all this using the Control Panel, dialog box user accounts .

How to start create breakthroughs of the plugins for FCPX?
I searched on the advances of the plugins or how to work with 3d to create a plugin for the final Assembly, but without hope of all results on the existing plugins.
I don't know if there is a community or tutorials to get started with FCPX advanced plugins.
... define "Advanced."
Some say, some of my plugins, for example SCRBBL (contains 3D) is advanced, I would not say so...
I learned my skills by
• read the manual
• asking silly questions to the CSA and fcp.co
• read books, a classic "how to cheat in motion said.
• Watch the tutorials of rippletraining, f.mahoney, Simon Ubsdall, mentioning the best
• Finally buying a few tuts rippletraing
... the real business application to understand the Apple pluginSDK (needs free registration as a "Developer") which would add paint clean routines, math, logical operators, design own = programming user interface elements
... my humble opinion, it would be advanced manufacturing = beyond me plugin
good advice is the section query of this Office and, once again, fcp.co

I will examine with pleasure for you to see if your model of printer available with Windows 8.1 full software. First of all, please let me know what model Deskjet F2100 you have and I'll do some research!
In the meantime, you can run the HP printer install wizard for Windows to see if the tool installs the complete driver. If it is available, you will have the available printer software on your desktop that you can open to view ink levels.

15 - g092sa: How do as I start my installation of windows 7?
Hello
My 15-g092sa came with the victory of atrocious 8.1. I need to get a job done, so I try to install my Windows 7 Pro 64. That the DVD was used for several times whenever I had replaced the material. It starts well on any other equipment.
However, it will not start on this machine. I found the BIOS settings and put the drive hard drive (windows Startup Manager) in the background. Everything else is above it and should start before it. The DVD does not start, an ISO bootable USB does not work...
When you try to install from a win8.1 running, the installer won't let me handle my partitions, a crucial reason for me to want to manage installation myself.
How to start something else than the bloatware of this PC?Hello:
In order to start from a DVD and install and run Windows 7, you need to change 2 BIOS settings.
See the info on the link below for which parameters need to be changed.
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03736054
You must leave these changed settings, because Windows 7 is not compatible with secure boot and vice versa.

It wasn't a problem because we did not all pictures stored in this computer. (Thank God!).
Now at least user can connect, go to Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer etc...! I'm still trying to understand if there are other problems outstanding. So far have not found any :)
Thank you for giving me encouragement barely pull these questions, especially since I have never fixed before computer problems. Just by chance, sometimes I have 2 laptops and 3 desktops desktop PCs. And I could just not afford constantly hire someone to solve.
Just one last question, what is the combination of anti-virus software do you recommend me to use? Thanks again.
