How to access memory on the PXI-8106 controller
I am able to write and read the brief on PXI-8106 using FTP functions in labview. But I'm not able to find a way to delete data that I wrote (PXI-8106) memory. Y at - it an easy way to do it.
Thank you

Upgrading memory on the PXI-8105 controllers and PXI-8106
Hello
I've recently upgraded the memory of three PXIs; one with a PXI-8105 controller and two with the PXI-8106 controllers. Both the 8105 and 8105 can have a maximum of 4 GB (2x2gb) DDR2-677 (PC2-5300) (see links below). However, on the three systems, both the BIOS and the o/s only see 3.3 GB. No idea why this might be the case?
I tried to Flash the BIOS (v1.4 on the two PXIs), but without success.
We use COTS memory (i.e. not purchased NOR) but I would be badly pushed to believe it is the cause of the problem.
Thank you.

How to determine the amount of memory on the PXI-5124
Can I determine the amount of memory on the PXI-5124 visually? I don't see a reference as 778757-02 on the map.
Hello axiomtest,
There are two stickers on the back of the card (including one with a barcode) and the other without. The part number is that without the bar code and from there, you can search your memory option on our Web site. If there is no sticker on the card, which looks like yours have been removed, then use this example of community in LabVIEW to determine the size of your card.
Kind regards

On the PXI-8106 serial port connection problem
Currently, I am trying to connect to the serial port on the PXI-8106 via RS232 module. However, when I try to run the Test VI opened for COM1 MAX (PXI Remote) running on a PC, I received an error like below:
Returns the status code: 0xBFFF00A8
Name of the State: VI_ERROR_NPERMISSION
Access to the resource or the remote machine is denied. This is due to the lack of sufficient privileges for the current user or the machine.
Right now I'm just a just loopback test to ensure that the interface for device is working before you start my labview code. I'm not sure what the problem is exactly, if it has to do with the PXI or PC. Could you please suggest a few solutions to this topic?
Thank you.
I managed to understand. It did not work on the right platform.

How can I turn off the xbox 360 controller wireless for pc
Hello!
I made a small application for this! It is called XboxExt (Manager of the Xbox 360 controller). There is no way to disable the controller in a failure to properly on PC. With the Games Games for Windows Live you can press the GUIDE button on your controller, and you can turn it off.So my app is doing the same thing, but not only with Games for Windows Live games. So you can use it anywhere, anytime.Web site: Xbox 360 controller ManagerBest regardsParker -
How do you know if the hard disk controller is damaged or it does not work?
Hello
I would like to know how you can know if the hard disk controller is defect. is there some tools for it or a way to test it.
I have thouthg my self for a solution like this;
-If I take the hard drive that is not working out pc and attach it to the speaker and the speaker set on a PC then I wil first hear the rotation of your drive hard so that when the PC wil recognizes the external hard drive as a hard disk and then the controller is OK, otherwise it means that the controller is damaged.
. I know mechanical problems with a hard disk, they do some sounds when they turn.
is the way I think it is the right way to know or there is much better way to find out if there is a problem with the hard disk controller.
Thank you
Johan
Small circuit board is an interface for cables that sorts what is happening in the place where. It holds the drive buffer and it tells the computer what it is, i.e. drive, speed, brand, model, size etc.
If you get an error of hard disk controller, it's a motherboard problem and there is no way to fix it.
Hard drives fail for two reasons...
- The platters inside are deteriorating to the point where they are no more able to maintain the structure of the sector/cluster.
- The spindle motor breaks down.
The part of a disk hard less likely to fail is the interface card, unless he is accidentally cut on the computer case or other metallic surface. If this short, you will know that the smoke resulting hard disk is acrid beggars belief. It is almost the only case where the interface will fail.
Even when a hard drive is subjected to temperatures beyond its limits, the spindle motor bearings will fail way before anything else, that's why the vast majority of the disk hard total fails is obvious because there is no vibration of the engine.
If a hard drive starts to cause problems, it is best to replace it because it will always get worse over time...

How to access photos of the Tablet
How to access photos that I have already loaded on the memory of my Tablet?
If in the project selection interface, you can start a new project by clicking on the icon "Add images" at the bottom right (it looks like a picture of a landscape with a sign over in the corner) > local Photos. The project will begin with your image imported as a layer.
If already in a project, there is a similar icon in the 2nd upper left, from left to right. This will import the right on the image in a new layer in your project.
Be aware that with regard to the 'Local Photos' option, PS touch controls only the system default for images files. (For example, on Android, it's 'Pictures'.) Don't forget to place your images in there for PS Touch can find them.

Memory of the PXI - 6562 Max per channel
I have two questions.
I have a PXI - 6562 and a data set is 256 MB (32 MB). I want to send the data in this dataset on a single axis of I/O serial. basically, I would like to spend my little of a set of data at the same time on both edges of the clock on an axis of IO. I don't like on the other IO pins. Is this possible with the PXI-6562 or all bits in each octet in the memory of the card corresponds to a specific channel.
If I can't send my data in series then I will accept that to encode every bit in my data set in the form of byte with a bit of data and the other zeros. This means that, for a set of data from 256 MB, I would need 8 times more memory 2048b. I understand that there are a total of 2 GB of RAM on the PXI-6562. Is this all addressable RAM in series? I can write the data of all the 2 GB of RAM for say 8 i/o ports?
gtg811q
With the PXI-6562 even if you want to only output a channel you must always write in a format of U8. So, as you describe you that a single bit, worries you, and you will need to set to 0 for the rest. This means that all data that you generate will be the value of 256 MB of data, because the smallest unit you can write with the HSDIO driver is the U8.
Now in regards to moving data on the two edges of both sides of the sample clock, this is called Double flow of data and is available with our devices OR 656 X and 6547 and 6548 devices. We have a developer area which details the DDR option more.
Advanced features of NOR-HSDIO: Double data rate
http://zone.NI.com/DevZone/CDA/tut/p/ID/6718
In reference to the memory of the generation, the width of the data to the memory of the generation is not configurable by the user. This means that if you have the 128 MB / channel option your total memory available per channel is 512 Mbit/channel. Because the width of the generation of data is set to 1 byte, and you get 4 times the memory per channel mode DDR with the 6562. The KB below explains the behavior. Look under the section 'Generation '.
Width of HSDIO and allowance data memory:
http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/E5170A54988EF81A8625725A006103BB?OpenDocument
So, in summary, the total of 2 GB memory won't be available for a single channel, but you have a total of 256 MB/channel available for each channel. Since you are really interested in only one channel you will be able to write data from 256 MB to you. As you would put all your data on the memory of the card you have to the flow of the disc on your generator HSDIO card. To do this, we have some examples:
NOR-HSDIO Stream from disk (generation) using Win32 IO file:
http://zone.NI.com/DevZone/CDA/EPD/p/ID/5270
However, there will be a bottle neck on your PXI backplane data, because the basket max transfer rate will be around 100-110 MB/s you will not be able to cope with your generation session. Since you will write in U8s each sample is 1 byte, which means that the best you can hope to stream would be around 100 MHz or more.
We have not the cards LVDS SMU (PXI Expresss) which would allow you to have a superior data through-put, but if you do not necessarily need the LVDS, we have other options. I'm guessing you need LVDS or you would not the 6562.
The other option is to write you data in parallel in the 8-bit generation DDR and then use an external serializer for an 8 to 1, then you would be able to use all of the available memory and you would probably be able to fit all your data on the memory of the card and you do not have to stream from the disc. This external serializer allows you to put your first data point on channel 0, second data point on channel 1 and one until you loop around back and have your second sample generated between the way 0 be your 8th overall your waveform data point.
I hope this helps and let me know if you have follow-up questions. Thank you!

blue screen on the PXI-8106 module: hardware malfunction
Hi all
I have a module, PXI-8106 (2 GB of RAM) - with a PXI-6254 and I was running trials with the attached screw (continuous acquisition of 16 I and 32 DI triggered by RTSI 4-5 kHz).
When I started this morning, I got a blue screen of death saying this:
Hardware malfunction
Call your provider of support material
NMI: Parity parity CheckMemory error
The system stopped *.
Now, I restarted the PXI revived the VI and it works again.
Is there something I can do to ensure that this error will not be shown again?
Thanks in advance for any help
Meh... I know I'll be back on a fairly old post, but I found the solution.
For some reason any installation Vision Acquisition software 8.5.1 created the problem by defining itself as the default driver for the network card. Then, go to 'manage' by right clicking on the 'Bureau', go to the hardware section, network card and select the intel driver solved the problem.

How to access custom in the .vm file properties
Hello
I have created custom property for the screen using file-> project properties.
This property applies to one of my screen.
If I want to access the value of the custom property in .vm.
How to access this value. I tried to use screen.getTest (), but it returns nothing for me.For custom controls properties, you can use:
#set ($value = "")
#set ($value = $control.getProperties () .get ("PropertyName"))So I think for the screen, it should be something like:
#set ($value = $screen.getProperties () .get ("PropertyName"))

How to access files in the same web application projects?
Using JDeveloper Studio 11.1.1.1.0
I create a web application that uses the Model-View-Controller design pattern. Model represents the data, the schema represents the data display and controller is control...
In my application, I created two projects: EJBModel and UserInterface. EJBModel contains the aspect of the model, so it has objects and entity beans to access/manipulate data. The UserInterface project stores the web interface - jsps for most. In the UserInterface project, I need a managed bean that calls methods of the beans created in the EJBModel project. I can do this using the @EJB annotation and the creation of an instance of the class, but given that the files are in separate projects that cannot meet and JDeveloper displays an error because it cannot find the necessary file. It is recommended to create two projects that he keeps the two separate elements.
So I wanted to know the best way to access the files stored in separated in the same application projects. Is there a way to pack them together?
Thank you...In the UI project, go to properties-> project dependencies and add a dependency on the model project.
This way JDeveloper will know what classes you are referencing. -
How to access directly to the forgotten password page?
Hello
Im trying to use the single sign-on password resets and the link to the IOM password page.
My problem is that when I try to redirect to ip:port/xlWebApp/forgetPassword.do?method=displayVerifyUserId I get this error
Error 401 - non authorized
Of RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol - HTTP/1.1:
10.4.2 401 unauthorized
The request requires user authentication. It MUST contain a header field WWW-Authenticate (section 14.46) containing a fault that is applicable to the requested resource. The client MAY repeat the request with a suitable authorization (section 14.8) header field. If the application already includes identification of the authorization information, then the 401 response indicates that authorization was refused for those credentials. If the 401 response contains the same challenge as the previous answer, and that user agent has already attempted at least once authentication, then the user SHOULD be presented the entity that was given in the response, since that entity MAY include diagnostic information relevant. HTTP access authentication is explained in section 11.
How can I go directly to the forgotten password page without going through the portal of the IOM?
It works for me:
http://
>: 14000, identity, faces, forgotpassword Also, you have the IOM - OAM integration?
If so, you can try to access with http://
: 7777/identity/faces/forgotpassword . Its work for me in the PS2 & PS3...~ J
