How to add a new data source

Hello

If anyone can help, I need to add a new connection to oracle OBIEE and the database database. How can I achieve this, I have to define an ODBC connection or there at - he of the underlying configuration files on the server that need to be updated?

Thank you

Hello
You must set up a new odbc connection

another import directly---> OIC 10 / 11g--> give the tnsname, the username, the password

Thank you

  • 11g - why is it not add processes for multiple roles in new data sources?

Anyone want to guess why Oracle chose to add roles both in the allocation of privileges to new data sources? If I have 40 different roles and add a new data source, I have to manually add this data source for each role, one at a time, 40 times. Horribly inefficient. Why?

When you change the new data source (click on the data source), you have the option: "Move All" available to 'Authorized roles' roles under the security heading. Have you looked at this option? (Admin - Data Sources) and not passing is not by Admin-> roles and permissions...

or have I misunderstood your question?

  • How to add a new boot entry?

How to add a new entry to boot to (re) install Windows? EasyBCD does not work for me.

    Hi, Sylvester

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community. I understand your concern and I am happy to help you.

To create a boot entry for the second partition, you must use bcdboot

    Assuming you're in C:\Windows:

    1 bcdboot e:\windows

    2 bcdboot c:\windows

When you restart the system, you will be presented with the start menu in Windows with two inputs for Windows 7. If you select the entry that starts in C:\Windows, you can rename the entry for this partition with:

    bcdedit/set {current} description "Windows 7 (Partition 1)"

What makes the operating system starts at the start of the default entry in the start menu:

    bcdedit/default {current}

As a result, the default OS at the first startup in Start menu item

    bcdedit displayorder {default} /addfirst

Or you could make the OS at startup the first item in the start menu:

    bcdedit /dispalyorder {current} /addfirst

Now, restart and select the second item in the start menu which should be called "Windows 7". Once started in E:\Windows rename the BONE started at startup:

    bcdedit/set {current} description "Windows 7 (Partition 2)"

Check that the start menu works OK and save the data of the bcd to a partition that has no operating system installed on it:

    bcdedit/export D:\Saved_BCD_Settings\SavedBCD

If you make a mistake later you can restore the menu boot bcd:

    Bcdedit /import D:\Saved_BCD_Settings\SavedBCD

I hope this helps. Back to us for other queries. We are happy to help you!

How to add the new column in existing table to our desired location?

For example, I have to add the new column 'course' before the salary column in the emp table.

I think the best way is to add the column at the end of the table and create a new view with the order of the columns...

    Another option...

places the data into a temporary table and recreate the table with the correct order of the columns, and then insert data to the table from the temporary table

    Refer

  • With CVI SQL Toolkit, how to add the new variable param column in a table.

    Dear all:

I used the CVI Sql toolkit to create a database, but now I don't know how to add a new column to a table in variable param.

I know, to add a column with the name of constant column could be down by below:

    DBImmediateSQL ((hdbc, "alter table table1 add column1 char [100]");

But if Column1 is a param variablae how can I write the code? Please advise?  It will be appreciated if you could give me an example.

    Best regards!

    HI -.

If you look at the parameters that you pass to the SQL function, you can see that the second parameter is a string constant. In your code, you can create an array of characters (string). You can then use sprintf to programmatically determine what will be the contents of this variable. In the function call, you can put the variable instead of the literal string, and you will have a customizable SQL statement.

    Hope this helps-

    Hey Razi,

Sorry for taking so long to answer. At present, there is no way to add an additional work plan to create a multi-page project; Simply open another project.

I know, it does not help you much right now, but the team seeks to integrate this into the app, so it will most likely do in a future update.

  • How to add a new virtual machine in VMPlayer inventory?

    People,

Hello. I'm installing Oracle Database 11 g 2 RAC system using 2 nodes that are 2 Virtual Machines on top 3 VMPlayer.

Their locations are C:\VM_RAC\rac1 and C:\VM_RAC\rac2.

The original rac1 VM is created in VMPlayer 3 and works correctly.

For the second rac2 VM, I simply copy all the files in the folder rac1 in rac2 folder. Then change its display name of "rac1' to 'rac2' in the rac2 configuration file.

But rac2 in not visible in VMPlayer and cannot be turned on.

To make rac2 in VMPlayer, we add rac2 in VMPlayer inventory. But I don't understand how to do it.

Can any folk tell me how to add the new VM rac2 VMPlayer stock, so that it can be powered on?

In the 'File' menu click 'Open Virtual Machine... "and select the .vmx file in the folder of the virtual machine.

We traced the issue to a new data source that has been added were we found that along with the entry of jndi name expected in the jdbc xml file, there were two empty entries:

    < jndi name - > weblogic.jdbc.DataSource.EOI < / jndi-name >
    < jndi name - > < / jndi-name >
    < jndi name - > < / jndi-name >

The data source has been removed, consoles restarted, the re-created data source and the problem happened again. To get through the issue, had to manually remove empty tags in the xml file.

We have created 2 new sources of data, and it happened only on the spot. The same data source each time. In addition, this question moved not when these changes have been made in our regions of bass (development, qa).

The version is the same in all three regions.

    WebLogic Version:
WebLogic Server temporary fix for 9324911 Wed Feb 03 22:38:01 PST 2010
    WebLogic Server 10.3 Fri Jul 25 16:30:05 EDT 2008 1137967

Is this a known issue? And if so, is there a way to avoid it, other than to start checking the newly created XML files permanently?

    Thank you

    Ted

Yes, it's a common problem documented in the Oracle documentation:
WebLogic Server: Get ' weblogic.common.ResourceException: is already bound ' exception with name JDBC JNDI (Doc ID 1154250.1)

The only solution is to remove the empty value entries.

  • Cannot add a new data store

Let me preface this post by saying that I am an extreme noob to VMWare... Have only used MS HyperV in the past but looking to oust most of my hardware with VMWare on the recommendation of a colleague.

    On the problem.

I have a server Dell PowerEdge 2900 with 32 GB of RAM and 8 TB of disk space.

I installed ESXi yesterday and you can see my original data store, called "datastore1", which is only 325 GB.

I try to add a new data store, but when I go to 'Add storage' in vSphere, select ' disk/LUN", the list is empty.

I know I'm missing something, but don't know where to look.  What should I do to add a new datasore and subsequently more storage to my VMWare environment?

    DRM for all help!

To add a data store storage must be allocated to the vSphere server.  There is also a size limit of 2 TB less 512 bytes per LUN for a vSphere.   Try a few small LUN and see if they appear as available when you add a data store.   I have included a link pdf maximum configuration for vSphere 4.1

  • Failed to get the disk partition information when you add the new data store

    Hello

Update my ESX to version 4 Update 1 (4.0.0, 256968). Now, I'm trying to add a new data store to a cluster in vCenter and receive the following error message when I will review the current structure of the disc "error when configuring the host: failed to get the disk partition information. When I click back, then next, there's no error message but in the formatting window, I get the error "Object reference" not set to an instance of an object.

I see this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find an appropriate response. Anyone? The interface using CLI instead of vCenter isn't an option (alignment VMFS, workload and so on)

I use Dell R900 with an EMC Symmetrix VMax SAN

The size of the LUN I want to add is 741 GB

    Concerning

    Marius Aulie

If you have a virtual machine for Windows test, you could do the following, to ensure that the logic unit number has a clean partition table:

-set the LUN as a GROSS physical to virtual machine device

-Run diskpart, select the drive and run the CLEAN command

-detach the LUN to the virtual machine

-try to create the data on the LUN VMFS store

The size of the block of the data store where the VM test can be a problem with the above. Due to the size of the LUN, the size of the block of the data store must be at least 4 MB. Attach the LUN to a physical test system could be an alternative.

    1. I chose the new column from the view to the datablock.
    2. Add the text element in the layout editor. But this position is not correct. It overlaps with another column. How to add the new column to the layout editor?

In the layout editor, you can simply drag the fields so that they do not overlap.
