Number of averages for time waveform acquisition

Hello

It is on the configuration of the device - settings of the acquisition.

in the parameters of the collection file, can I know is there a way to feed the number of averages and % of overlap between averages aquire waving time.

Thank you!!

BR

Pattabi

In version 3.0 of InsightCM, we will support an average and overlap on the data of the spectrum Viewer.  These settings will be applied only to the visualization of the spectral data and will not apply to calculations on the waveform or spectral data form.

This will meet your needs?  Or are you interested in doing an average and are superimposed on the spectral data to then be used for calculations that are based on spectral data - such as 1 x Magnitude, etc.. ?

Thanks for the question.

    Hello!

I need to acquire signals of samples N M and their average. Waveforms are started by external trigger, internal clock. Repetition rate is maximum 5 kHz. The wavelength must be close to the reverse of this (preferably in 95%, for example, 0.95 * 0.2 ms). No trigger must be lost. M is (preferably) of the order of thousands. N is (preferably) as temporal resolution allows. After receiving the data, any time can be spent on whatever the task. What will be the right strategy to deal with this problem?

    Hi Boris,.

If you have a 6289, there is no average capabilities of equipment, but performing the calculation of the average in the software is not a problem. If I understand your requests, all requests are achievable.

You are limited by the number of channels for the number of playback channels on your 6289, but if it's ok, you're all set.

External triggers and internal clock are quite feasible. Have you looked into the Finder of example of NOR? There are many examples which will do almost everything of what you specify. ; If you can work with LabVIEW 8.2 I open your finder example and discover two examples in particular. The first is called Acq & Clk of the NTI tension of Graph - Dig Start.vi. This can be found in the Finder example under the following folder path. Material input and output > DAQmx > Analog measures > tension. The second example though, I might help you is called Multi-multifunction-Ctr-Retrigg Pulse Train generation to HAVE sample Clock.vi. This example is located in the path of the material Input and Output > DAQmx > synchronization > multifunctional. This example uses a meter (which is triggered at the material time) as the sample for your task to acquire analog clock.

Essentially, these examples can be translated directly into C programs, with the accompaniment of installation and definitions, etc. which are used in C. If you are curious about the C functions that relate to a DAQmx function, see Help reference DAQmx C, located in the start menu > programs > National Instruments > NOR-DAQ > Documentation. There are also examples of C who install if you install support for the CVI when you install DAQmx and they install the the following location: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents\National Instruments\NI DAQ...

  • Averages for number of loops

    Hi all

I have a code (attached) in which a triangular wave is supposed to a magnetic field of ramp up and down to very low frequency (0.1 Hz or low). Reading (X) vs keithley reading field (Y) represented by two random numbers generators must be taken in synchronization with the triangular wave point by point. I would be very grateful if you could help to achieve the following objectives:

    1. by taking the average for a few cycles. Basically, I would define the number of loops in the outer circle to the loop and the number of sampling inside everything in a loop and then take the average between the loops.

    (Data for data of loop2 +... + loop1) + data to loop n/n

    2. the averages should be written to the text file and at the same time, I hope I always get the full date in the file action.

    Thank you

    Hadi

Assuming that you want to monitor the data happens, I would like to initialize several arrays, both to keep the x and are data and to keep the number of each 'package '.

Now, simply add the new data to the existing elements while incrementing the corresponding number. Dividing by the count will give you the way to be represented graphically. Here's a simple rewrite. The "collection must match the size of the field ramp, so it shouldn't be a separate control, I think. Currently, you graph the two random channels. You would you rather them the two graphic vs of the field instead? You want front and back scans averaged individually or must they go to the same average with a half data table?

You save operation still seems a little convoluted. How do you actually data to be organized in the final file?

Here is a quick project to help you get started.

  • Connection of the PXI-4071 - can sound and LOs remain interconnected for the impedance of the cable 2, voltage DC/AC, frequency and waveform acquisition?

    Hello

We use the DMM and SMU-6363 map to test a hardware device.  We will also use a PXI-2530 b switching matrix.  We will use the digital multimeter to perform the measurements of voltage, DC and AC, measurements of impedance (2-wire and 4-wire), frequency and waveform acquisition.  Can the PXI-4071 left be 4 wire connected (black jacks taken connected and red connected) mode and still be used to perform all other measures (including 2 impedance of the cable).  This would simplify the switch connections.

Current measures use the son + and LO, but the HI and S-can remain connected.  The problem you are having is if you have an active device the digital multimeter and take you a 4-wire resistance and the measurement of voltage with all 4 wires connected and then change to a current... When you do this, short-circuit you the terminals of the DUT, on that you just take the measurement of the resistance.  If the terminal HAD, say, a power supply 10V, then you have just shorted out.  Of course, this isn't a problem if your Instrument is a passive device, or if you change just the unused two lead whenever there is an active device of low impedance.

If you want to make voltage, current and 4-wire resistance, you need all 4 wires.  If you want to do the voltage and current, you will need 3 wires, but you could connect the s + Hi and then just do the two wires.  I vote running every 4 son to your DUT for maximum flexibility.

2-wire resistance is a must if you are measuring resistance above 10 MOhm.  Alternatively, you can use 4-wire for all measures.

    Hello

I found documentation indicating that when this error occurs in what concerns a 407 x DMM, the problem could be that the F1 fuse connected to the 12V of the isolated side power has blown. You can verify that this is the case by using a DMM to hand to check the continuity across the fuse.

As this seems to have been an isolated problem, I doubt that is the case. I don't know why this happens only once. Perhaps there was a power failure or other variables that ignore us. If however, it is a problem, you may call OR and ask to do an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization). I hope this helps!

  • WAIT % - % IDLE, what is the average for a virtual machine?

I did some research on performance of VM problems and worked with the media to see that there is maybe a bottle neck IO that occur with a virtual VMware machine I have performance problems on. The technician found that the WAITING % - % IDLE on average for this virtual machine is around 200%. The tech said it was abnormally high. I forgot to ask her what was normal but wanted to put a post to see if some people out there know what they are on average. What is an average number of see? I have the system done nothing right now and I see 579% waiting and 372% IDLE. The technology has been able to confirm that no IO queue was occurring in the VMkernel or on the HBA controller.

Some average % positions would be useful. Thank you.

Supposibly the amount of time in a State of waiting for I/O is the WAIT - IDLE % difference. I was wondering if anyone had the numbers for this feeling. Is there anyone with some of them?

Q: How will I know the VCPU world waiting for I/O events?

A: WAIT - % IDLE % can give you an estimate on how much time processor is spent waiting for I/O events. It is an estimate only, because the world wait perhaps for other than the i/o resources. Note that we should do it only for the worlds of the WWW, not the other kind of worlds. Because the VMM worlds represent the best guest behavior. For the disk i/o, another alternative is to read the disk latency stats that we explain in the drive section.

WAIT % by itself cannot be used, you must develop and examine the individual vCPU % EXPECTATION values and subtract their idle time.  You can't do it on the initial view of a single line by VM CPU in esxtop.  If technology that you mentioned did not explain it, he doesn't know what it takes.

I have lots of virtual machines that are never less than 300% when I wait - % idle and I have no problems.

It is an example, I caught NimSoft server:

    DHSNMS1 100 100 5 192.63 193,80 0.24 0.03 291,44 1.04

%EST USED (s) 192 - in other words, almost two processors are used 100%

The %Idle is 1.04% WAIT 291.44 - according to the calculation of waiting idle, I have a super serious problems of e/s past  But this isn't the case, and expanding, I can see that.

    5665 vmware-vmx 100 1 0.09 0.11 100.00 0.00 0.00 0.01

    5667 100 vmassistant.566 1 0.62 0.65 99,63 0.00 0.00 0.00

    5703 100 mks:DHSNMS1 1 0.01 0.01-100.00 0.00 0.00 0.00

    5704 vcpu 100 - 0:DHSNMS1 1 32,35 32.88 67,28 0.28 0.11 67,14

    5705 vcpu 100 - 1:DHSNMS1 1 31,58 32.05 68.11 0.00 67.85 0.12

So the changed values unfortunately because of ESXTOP bike when you develop... which is annoying, but anyway.  In this you see % waiting is 67 and 68 with another respectively being 3 to 100% (which is normal) and the idle being %, 0, 0, 0, 67 and 67.8.  Doing the calculation on the processors shows a wait - slowed virtually 0 - or very little IO wait past with processors.  But if you add up all the expectations of % and % is idling, you have 434ish, and the 134ish and do the calculation is the difference of 300 - which is the 3 who are always 100%.

So there is no way we can answer your question, we can only help you to understand how the values should be interpreted.

Waiting for i/o States almost always go on the disc anyway, it is unlikely, therefore, the network or the user entered, looking at the stats of disc ESXTOP is a much better way to determine if there is a problem of e/s.

Do someone know the trade off between settings of bo?

    Thanks for your suggestions

    Hi Bolivar,

With regard to the transmission continues in a loop, I think it could help you to make a small piece of transmission over until you actually begin the continuous transmission immediately in a loop. The reasoning being that small initial transmission could help boot to the top of the Tx buffer and prevent cost overruns due the USRP device waiting for data and do not get it.

With regard to the relationship between the right size for a given frequency of IQ, I do not have a precise answer at this stage.

    Thanks and good luck.

  • cDAQ for the continuous acquisition of data faster

    Hello

I've only done very slow with LabVIEW data acquisition and I was wondering what the most fast (conservatively faster I'm not pushing the limits) data acquisition and recording of data possible on compact DAQ hardware? and the advantage of switching to a cRIO of a cDAQ really just for more reliable speed and data acquisition? I am interested on 30kS/s channels more analog input 5.

    Thank you very much!

Rates are feasible, and you can stream to disk. It is only when you save in a text file that you need to start to worry about the use of a design of producer/consumer and a queue (in general).

I'd be too concerned about real-time unless you do some kind of control loop where the reactions must be precisely timed (once again, in general).

For very high acquisition rate (high MECH. / s), OR sell scanners that connect with USB in order to have some distance to go before you should start worrying.

It turns out that it is a pretty known issue windows 8.1 users infestation since at least 2013 and there is not a simple fix, then it cannot be * completely * lack of hp. but I've had two of these laptops, both the same model, one needing to be returned and exchanged for a problem absolutely no report with (hardware failure: ethernet port does not work with lights taped). Both are renovated. Both have been extreemly slow and unresponsive even compared to the lower Brazos powered by the laptop that I had before, but I recently decided to investigate why.

So if there is something specific HP going on here, I hope that there is a simple fix. My average response time went upward as well more than a minute (> 60, 000ms), so that I'm an aberrant case here against this problem of reactivity/band bandwidth hardrive typical windows 8.1.

Edit: there is a case with another HP pavilion laptop (intel powered, so there may be a problem of storage driver intel described in the first link) being much worse.

Did not want to resort to that, but,.

  • Average read time IC Agent

    All,

I use the IC agent seriously for the first time.  Just lie be of the opinion that all other settings other than the average playing time is not collected.

Host > Hostname > physical disks > sda > average length of reading

Other measures are collected very well. How the IC agent collects data so that I can begin to solve the problems.

CentOS 6.2 x 64 with flgam last 5.6.7 and IC installed locally running as root.

More physical measures of disc are from the file/proc/diskstats. Our IC dashboards visualize the logical disk data. The http://edocs.quest.com/foglight/567/doc/Cartridge/InfrastructureCartridge/Reference.003.4.php#424072 table gives a summary of what parameters are available for each type of OS. When I look at one of my test systems, I also see the values '0' for ' / '-I don't know if this is a defect, we can check it out. Other readers on the same host seem to bring their good values. If there are specific values that you expect or need I have to turn to our dev team to answer specific questions about what might happen or why some settings may not be available.

Can someone help me to a daily average time calculated between start and end.

    Kind regards

    Is that what you want:

    SELECT trunc (TRIP_LOAD_STARTED), trunc (TRIP_LOAD_ENDED).

    floor (avg (ceil ((TRIP_LOAD_ENDED-TRIP_LOAD_STARTED) * 1440))) Diff

    OF GATE2GATE_ACTIVITY_VW

    WHERE TRIP_LOAD_STARTED > = to_date('01/FEB/2014','dd/MON-YYYY')

    AND TRIP_LOAD_ENDED<>

    Trunc GROUP (TRIP_LOAD_STARTED), trunc (TRIP_LOAD_ENDED)

Always the example of create table and insert statements to verify the results and use the to_date with date format function.
