  If you want to sell your BlackBerry, the best way to ensure that all your info has been removed from the phone is to go to Options > Security > Security wipe.   I have a Bold 9900 I bought in February 2012. 3/4 months, from time to time, it displays an indicator of battery missing on the screen. This has been resolved to remove and insert the battery again.

  A couple of weeks, it exploded and, when you try to turn it on, only the red light was on while the screen is off. I brought in a Blackberry service center and today they gave it back saying that it cannot be corrected.

  600 euros wasted after 28 months.

  I am a single BB client since 2005 (with the old 8700) and I am really disappointed with such a bad customer service.

  Is there anything else I can do? (Other than buying an iPhone?)

  The phone was finally repaired. It seems there was an infiltration (even if I'm not Recalling the cases in which it may have wet). An internal Committee was replaced and now it works.
