• How clone a HARD drive and then use the clone with VMware (as well as Windows works!)?

  I have a system where Windows 7 is installed, and I'm doing a clone of her image of HARD drive, I then want to use in my main with VMware PC, so that I can start Windows 7 at the cloned disk.

  I used Ultimate Boot CD v5.1.1 with which HDD I wanted to clone, and I cloned using EaseUs Disk Copy, which comes with Ultimate Boot CD. The source HARD drive was 250 GB in size which had 3 partitions, while the USB HDD I have attached to the system, which was supposed to be the disk of destination/clone, was 320 GB in size. I chose to create a replica, exact and up to 250 GB of data (partitions, etc.) has been copied exactly, and the rest of space was not allocated. I have now connected this USB HDD to my main PC, shot to the top of VMware Workstation 8 and defined a new Virtual Machine and chose to boot from the USB HDD.

  The result is that when Windows starts (from the cloned HDD inside VMware), I get the blue screen error until I get to the login screen.

  How can I change my methodology so that Windows starts even on the clone? I can change the tools I use, etc.

  Patching - easy Variant

  This procedure is used when otherwise the VM would start in a kind of bluescreen 7B.

  I don't know if there's a tool for that. However, it should be possible with some Bluetooth SDK controls.

  a. a required device driver is missing.

  b. a required binary file is corrupt.

  c. There is a problem with the file I/O process.

  I can install a Win Server 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 R2 on a VD without problem, but I do not see the other disk of TB in option within Windows Server to be used as storage SQL only.

  You basically configure the virtual machine that you want on all the available storage (do not forget to keep free space, for example snapshots). -As I understand it - is so that ESXi does not see the storage! This is often caused by the RAID controllers not taken in charge or the RAID issues. Please check if the RAID controller is supported as well as the configuration. BTW. Why do you want to configure RAID0? If you want to create two virtual disks on warehouses of separate data anyway, simply present to ESXI as two separate disks/volumes.

Unfortunately after many attempts to use rescue and recovery to restore the factory settings and for some reason constantly default... After leaving another utility popped up giving me the opportunity to erase the HARD drive and so I did... After fact as well and all I had was a blank screen, no windows more or no matter what utility to reinstall windows, then I used my winxp pro installation CD, but the program installation would continue not after a certain point by saying that the installation did not find any HARD disk installed. followed by "ensure that any disk HARD r turned on and correctly connected, and that no matter what material associated drive configured correctly, this may involve running a manufacturer provided diagnostic or Setup program. Clearly it took me by surprise. What was supposed to be a cut to white erase and reinstall now me baffled and angry. Formats the HDD of the solution? If so why didn't not the usefulness of lenovo do... If not, what is the problem? Someone help pls

  Go into the BIOS (F1 at startup), set the "compatible" SATA mode (NO AHCI), then press F10 to save and exit, and you should be all set.

  If you are referring to records of recovery of the manufacturer that came with your computer or the recovery discs that you made from the recovery Partition, YES they can be used to reinstall Windows 7 on your new hard drive.
