How to burn DVDs on XP?

My situation is:

I loaded video files from a sony handycam, convert to wmv for use in WMM. I made movies, saved in .avi format and tried to use PMB to burn a dvd. The files show too big (11 + gb) to burn it to a dvd. Since I'm on XP, I do not have DVD maker. What are my options to get these files to a size to burn a dvd?

Thank you!
