How to change the opacity of a clip in Premiere Pro CS3?

Hello

I put a video clip on the video track in the timeline. It has a yellow horizontal lines indicating the level of opacity. When I adjust everything down, no video is visible and it is completely visible when he is on top.

In Final Cut, I can use the pen tool to create some points along the straight horizontal lines & then move the points. In doing so, the level of opacity of the video clips is displayed according to the values indicated by the yellow lines.

In Premiere Pro, when I select the pen tool, I am not able to create points on the yellow dots and set it to vary the opacity. How do I in Premiere Pro?

Thank you

Hold down the CTRL key when you click with the tool pen to add a keyframe to the 'elastic '.

  • How to change the opacity via Alt - Right Click brush sizing?

Opacity is displayed as well as the diameter and hardness, when Alt - right click is done using a round brush (in this case, with the Dodge tool).

I guess it's late, but I'm not a gesture that causes the opacity to change in this mode.  I have just the lack?  I tried all the modifier keys and moving the mouse all over the place.  I even tried the scroll wheel, but could not get the opacity to change.

How can I change the opacity (outside the old traditional way)?

    -Christmas

As far as I know, here's what you can do:

    Guinot

On screen BRUSH RESIZE and HARDNESS/OPACITY

    Mac

    • Drag left/right = brush resizing: Opt-Ctrl + click - drag
    • Up/down = hardness of the brush drag: Opt + Cmd + Ctrl + click - drag
(or opacity if the option is disabled)

    Windows

    • Drag left/right = brush resizing: Alt + right-click-drag
    • Up/down = hardness of the brush drag: Alt + shift + right-click-drag
(or opacity if the option is disabled)

Note: In Change Preferences > General you can uncheck vary the hardness of the round brush based on a vertical HUD movement if you want to change the opacity instead of hardness.

  • How to change the source of mounting clips?

Hello, I am looking for a way to replace the mounting clips without having to re - manually set the points of entry/exit on the replacement clips.

I need to replace the clips mounting with clips of a clip from different sources (identical) - but using it in and out of the points.

Another way to say what I'm doing: for a given element in the editing, change the file reference from one element to another clip in the structure of bin file... to know the new source is identical in every respect.

I guess it would also work if I could just replace the original clip to the source in some way by another element of the source in my bins of project, in a way that maintains my entry points and (again, the source of the staples are identical and are duplicates in my bins).

I am very new to the first, so apologies if the answer is obvious for the silverbacks among us... ;-)

+ recognition of 1 brownie points / eternal if someone can be an easy way to do that, while all such clips are offline. I do a lot of work for this project on my trip when I don't have access to the media player. (Travel by bus, it is - don't worry I'm not driving and edition!)

I think it has changed for CS6, but I could be wrong.  Try the keys Shift + Alt + drag.

  • How to change the opacity of the brush

I know that I can change alpha. But I want it to be transparent. I want to, like when I draw a line, and I draw another line ontop, I'd still be able to see one below. but all on the same layer. When you do a drawing into a symbol, then you go to alpha color effect and select put the alpha to 50%, then do you the same thing with another object and then to put ontop of eachother. This effect is what I want, but by drawing and without needing to change the effects. If you still don't understand, here's a picture of what I want by simply drawing with a brush.Screenshot_1.png

Try this (unfortunately I have Polish interface):

    (1) set color and less than 100% Alpha

    (2) select the Brush tool

    (3) on the pop-up Panel "object drawing" button trick (I'm not sure this name in English)

    (4) allows you to draw

    Matt,

You are missing a Panel in the part of the module of titration. Go to the window > properties of title and opens. There, you will see the Fill, Stroke and oh, so much more.

  • How to set up a project very Long in Premiere Pro CS3

I'll make a video of an event and burn to DVD. The event was 02:45 long..maybe 45 minutes will be tossed because of lack of relevance. That still leaves a long project... my machine is bad mood when you handle the entire timeline. Use a 2.8 pc and two gigs of ram.

Make separate sequences? Sorry is it is basic but could not find anything here or in my book.

    Thanks in advance.

    Yes, like you did:

So I tried importing one project to another, then sliding the sequence for the project of the new timeline, but it removes all points from the edict of subproject and combines all the tracks in a single

but you do not double-click nested sequences to open the original with all original edit points. You may need to read a little more about nesting sequences. However, who defeated completely the OP's intent, which attempted to modify such an important project for PC low-power, which is due to some instability and all sorts of errors and crashes. If you have the same problem, I don't know.

  • Modification of the AR in Premiere Pro CS3

    Hello

I have another problem with my Premiere Pro CS3 on my MacBook, and the last time I posted another question here, I had a quick and helpful response.

The last time it was to get the avi codecs goes on my MacBook, I have just converted the .mov files and it worked.

The question is now that I need to know how to change the AR of a clip at random. I use 20 seconds each clips when I edit. "Back when I had a PC and edited with Sony Vegas, I just went to clip prefferences > and turned off ' maintain proportions"

I would strongly appreciate that someone could explain to me how it's done.

    PS: AR = report l / h

PS2: I need to change to all the clips that I import. they have different AR right now and I need to change this so that it fits the video preview. And when I am, I just want to use the settings that I prefer and make this way.

    Kind regards.

    Hello

    Try this...

    Image size: 576 x 432

    Sampling: 576

    Frame rate: 23.98

    Total duration: 00; 00; 26; 18

    Average rate: 158 KB/second

    Pixel format: 1.0

    Try this... should work well...

    Start a new project...

    Use the 'custom settings '.

    Choose to edit mode: "Desktop".

    Time Base: 23.97 fps

    Image size - enter 576 and 432

    Hi Rickysbiz,

You can try to cut the clip and take a fresh start or endpoint for the clip to set the duration. The start trim point determines when the clip will start playing, and the end trim point determines when the clip stops in your project and final film.

    To trim a video clip

    1. If you are in the Storyboard view, click, and then on the timeline.

    2. in the timeline panel, click the clip you want to cut.

3 use the controls to play under the preview monitor to find the point where you want to cut out the clip.

    4 follow these steps:

    ·        When the playback indicator is at the location where you want the video or audio clip selected in replay, clickClip and then click TrimBeginning.

    ·        When the playback indicator is at the location where you want the video or audio clip selected to stop playback, clickClip, and then click TrimEnd.
