  All e-mail providers will send you an email if you have sent to the e-mail address is not correct, so unless you receive this message, the email will be "received" on the server. I think that when you say "received" you mean 'read '.

  Mac Mail, there is no checkbox to activate this, but you can still activate it using the Terminal.

  Do you mean that you can see the email in the "sent" folder but the recipient column does not appear?

  If so, at the right end of the column header is a small icon. Click on this icon to get a list of columns possible. Click the recipient to activate it.

  How do you know that your email has been "hacked"? It is a common practice for spammers to forge an envoy from the e-mail address. It may be that your email address has been misused. There's nothing to do if this is the case for you. The spammer will soon pass and usurp another email address.

  It's a good idea to immediately change your password by email if someone would actually managed to access your e-mail account.

  You have not necessarily been hacked if it is the only symptom.
