Yes.

Using almost any software of imagery and many new hard drives arrived with these software * or * you can visit the web page of the manufacturer (for the hard drive) and they have downloads of such software to transfer the OS from old to new hard disks - even taking into account the fact that your C partition will be greater.

  • How can I remove bit locker option from my hard drive?

I have a password on one of my local hard drives using bit locker. now, I want to remove this password. How can I remove tht?

    Hi HaBiB JHoN,

    1. what operating system is installed on the computer?
    2. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?

    Method 1
The best way to remove BitLocker on windows 7 32-bit is to follow the following steps.
    a. click on start
    b. click Control Panel
    c. whereas the Control Panel, find the Bitlocker Drive Encryption icon, click on it
    d. here you will see all the partitions on your hard disk and their encryption status, whether encrypted or not.
    e. that is encrypted, you will find an option to turn off bitlocker. Click on it and wait for the machine to decrypt.

    Method 2
To prevent losing access to drives protected by BitLocker in case of failure of the TPM secure, forgotten passwords or loss of smart cards or USB keys, it is important that you have a way for administrators to access to BitLocker drives. BitLocker supports the following methods to retrieve access to protected drives:

    a. recovery key or recovery password. You can use a BitLocker recovery password or a recovery key. If a BitLocker key is not available, as in the case of a missing SmartCard or forgotten user password, a 48-digit recovery password can be used to unlock the protected drive. In place of a password, a recovery key which has been stored in a file on a removable media such as a USB flash drive, can also be used to unlock the protected drive.

    b. backup key in Active Directory Domain Services. Password recovering BitLocker can be stored in Active Directory Domain Services. This allows administrators, such as the personal assistant of office help users retrieve drives protected by BitLocker when they have forgotten or misplaced their recovery password.

    c. data recovery agent. A data recovery agent is the person designated as a system administrator, who can use his administrative credentials to unlock BitLocker-protected drives. BitLocker is not configured with the default data recovery agents, neither data recovery agents are enabled by default. They must be enabled and configured by using Group Policy.

  • I just installed a new drive faster. How can I get windows live mail from the old drive to the new drive

Where are the files stored WindowsLiveMail?  Under what article directory.  I have "tons" of e-mail messages stored on the old disk and need to move them to the new drive faster.  How can I do?

The location of the store folder, which contains all the messages, calendars and the account settings, is configurable by the user. The default location is
    C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail

If the installer of WLMail is a record storage in the default location, it normally acknowledge and take into use if. The only user that would be required should reinstate saved passwords. If this is to succeed, the old and new installations of WLMail normally must be exactly the same construction. The storage location must be in place in the default location on the new drive before installing WLMail. Also, the current user must be the owner of the record store to its new location.

If the old drive is installed on the same computer as the new facility in WLMail, you can point the Import Wizard to import messages to the old folder of the store. They will find under storage folders into imported folders.

  • How can I move my site folders/files to a drive.

I tried to move the folder to the main site; but it wont let me move throughout the site anywhere on my drive hard or the cloud. I have no problem to move files and folders within the site; but I can't get the entire site moved.  Any help would be appreciated.

You cannot move a file of entire site in DW.  You must use your operating system (Windows Explorer or the Mac Finder).  Then redefine the local folder on your site in DW by going to Site > Manage Sites.

  • How can I move music and photos from my MacBook on an external hard drive, files without deleting the existing NTFS files stored on it?

    Hello.

I am aware that this issue (or different versions of it) will be requested a thousand times before, but after searching on the internet for a solution, I have been unable to find all the information that brings a simple clear answer that is specific to my problem and so thought I would ask the question myself.

I recently bought a Toshiba 1 TB external hard drive to transfer music, photo files and internal document in front of the memory of my old PC running Windows, as well as files, music and photos from my existing MacBook Pro, so I can "release" the memory on the latter.

Transfer files from the old PC proved to be easy; success achieved by simple drag / drop the files to the appropriate location on the external HD icon of Toshiba which appears once I connected to a USB port. It is perhaps worth mentioning that the area of States hard drive has been formatted NTFS for Windows, and so I guess that I would not have expected any problems when transferred to a PC.

Move the files from my MacBook has however proved anything but simple and trying to drag the respective music and photo files and drop them on the HD Toshiba icon (which appears on my desktop once it is plugged), I seem to be affected by the same issues as so much seems to have it before me, in that "forbidden access" / error symbol appears with the cursor , and bounce the files to their original location whenever I try to place them on the Toshiba HD.

I understand that this is due to the HD is formatted in NTFS, and that I would need to reformat the hard drive to move files from my MacBook, which brings me to my questions:-

    (a) how do I do this, and

    (b) can I do this without losing, damage or remove the NTFS files from my old PC, which are already stored on the external hard drive.

If one is able to offer any assistance, in the most simple, easy to follow the description, I would be really grateful!

Never been so thanks in advance!

1 install software such as Paragon NTFS on the Mac and let the reader in its current form or from the Finder, choose utilities go to menu, open disk utility and reformat.

    2. that by putting a copy on another drive. You should do this anyway, in case of failure of this drive.
