How to connect to the database that resides on the web server through blackberry application

Hello

I'm new to the Blackberry development. I want to develop an application that will get the values stored in a database on the server. And on the key event, it will again store the information in the database.

I use Blackberry Java development environment Version: 4.2.0.98

What should I do?

To connect to the server, you can use HTTP or a sleeve. Search for HTTP and socket connection examples. Implementation depends on your condition.

You can write in return of the application on the ground that can automatically syc.

    All,

I'm trying to add a second web server to move a part of the web traffic to another resource. I have a 3.0.1.00.08 instance that runs on the database connected to the web server and I just wanted to add a second connection to the front-end web server.

The second is web server currently running SOA suite so it was logical financial to simply add another call on this web server.

    I get the error:

I thought it was weird since it's what worked on the other server and using sqlplus.

I also tried to change the dads.conf file to use the following connection string:
    PlsqlDatabaseConnectString SERVERB:PORT:ORCL ServiceNameFormat

No luck. Why the connection work with SQLPlus and not modplsql? What I am doing wrong? If not, how can I solve this?

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

Try to use the "SIDFormat" in dads parameter 'PlsqlDatabaseConnectString' instead of 'ServiceNameFormat '.

  • WANT to 114 does not connect to the Web server

Have installed a 114 WANT, everything works except for the webservices - wireless eprint etc.

    I tried everything-

1 re-install services - error cannot connect to the web server

    2. Update - error cannot connect to the web server

3 give the static IP address

    4 restore the default settings

I have an internet connection on all computers.  Can someone give me a hint on how to get Web services to work?

    Hi sbenzie,

How your printer is currently connected to the network? Via Ethernet or wireless? What is your current router / network configuration? That shows your printer because it is the IP address? What happens when you try to launch applications?

Not yet given the information above, here's what I would try.

I suggest to reconnect the printer to the network by running the Wireless Setup Wizard and attempt to restart the web services. If this is not enough, you may change some DNS settings in printers EWS (built-in web server) to do this, put the IP address in a browser window on your PC.

This should start the integrated Web server. In SAP, select the network on the network tab, select 'network '.

Then select "network address" (IP). Do not change the IP configuration at the top. Go down under "DNS address configuration"and select 'Manual DNS server'. " Under manual DNS server, enter (an 8 in each box on the first line) 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 on the second line. Press the button 'Apply' at the bottom.

Now try to connect to Web Services again.

  • I can\ to connect to the web server integrated on my D7460?

    Hello

I had some problems with my Photosmart D7460 printer and resolved (for now) most of them.

Except that I can't connect to the built-in web server. Also, I do not get a response when I try and ping the printer.

Giving to think I have problems of network with the exception that I can print to this printer... Well well, from most of the computers on the network, but that's another story.

I checked what the said road IP address he gave to the printer.

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

OK, I seem to have solved the problem.

I'm not sure that bit of material, it was causing the problem but it seems to come form tries to use "WPA & WPA2" parameters (BT Home Hub 3.0) wireless access point.

Who having spent 'WPA only' I can now ping, print and connect to the web server.

  • How to connect to the Essbase Server?

This question may seem a little on the vague side - so apologies for that.

From a point of view version 7 - the Essbase server interacts with the database server (where you load the data into Essbase of) through the defined system DSN & the TNS. But how a typical user connects to the Essbase server when using excel add to recover data?

To expand a bit on this - in our environment, when a user attempts to recover data using excel add in - a box "Essbase system Login" initially appears, where the user enter the name of the essbase server used, with their own username and password. But to enter the name of the server - how excel add in physically know where to go to get data? Is there something else on the client computer where the server details are stored (ie the ip address) - a sort of equivalent DSN?

    Thanks in advance

Excel add-in by using the functionality of the API to connect to Essbase server.

  • How can I index PDF files that reside on a Unix server?

I was amazed the week last to discover that our Web site does not support PDF research opportunities. Apparently, we're going to get it soon. But when that day comes, I think we need to index our PDFs. I know I can do it for a Windows Server. But, how can I do to a Unix server?

    Thank you

    Peter

No, not at all. "Indexing" is a stange inconsistent term used for this connection. I guess you really want is a search engine that includes PDF as HTML content. The term 'indexing' might mean 'account with all the text in a file and the addition of words available for research.

Acrobat uses "Indexing" to mean precisely creating a set of files used by Acrobat itself to find several PDF files. But it is a thing of local file, not a web thing. In this way the indexing of PDF files must be used on the web is bad, but also not good.

There are two main approaches to web search engines.

1 premises. Software runs on the local computer and can read the files on the web site. In fact a kind of file, may be called an index. Local software on the web server uses this information to display that you lead.

2 remote connection. Google is a prime example of this. Visits of the websites ("spiders") to play the files, made his own 'index' and the research on the sites.

Google (and other search engines) are often seen only as a means of the world wide web to research. But they can be used to search for single servers in their list of everyone, as in https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=indexing+Pdfs+site%3Aadobe.com

An interesting variation of what was for sale a few years ago, is the "google appliance" for use on private networks (intranets). He was sitting on the local network and done things like google but only with the local network. Then, there was a 'local google' for all local machines.

One last thing: your customers are not likely to find satisfying if she must search for PDF files and the HTML format of research with a different engine.

  • How to allow the clean-up actions to be taken by a reentrant clone before he is killed, seen through the web server, through a narrow browser?

Here's a question I'll get lucky with.  I have a VI, set to be reentrant, broadcast via the web server.  The main instance of the VI is never worked with: it's a clone whenever someone accesses the correct URL, and the user interacts with the newly created clone (never the main forum).  A clone is able to configure and calling instrument VI when good IDs are entered, which translates to browser popups that are controllable on the end of the user (even if only one user ever does both. To clarify, many clones can be opened simultaneously for connection purposes, but that a user never interacts with the instruments that are not themselves reentrant).

If the user clicks on my Logout button in their browser, it is trivial to close these instruments other, independent and properly clean.  But if the user simply click on the red X in their browser, it is non-stop and the instruments that the clone called stay open on the server, when they close.

    My experience so far:

No close panel? event seems to be triggered in the clone.  The clone simply cease to be.

The remote_panel_connections property doesn't seem to work properly in this case (I have not had luck so far), since it is possible that more than a clone to be active and that the main parent who is spawning clones stays running, but is not interacted with in some way.

    What I need:

One way for the clone of VI recognize that the user has closed his browser and communicate that it closes all the assets of VI before ending.

    --------------

I would like to avoid forcing the instruments that the clone call to constantly query to see if the VI clone is present on the network.  If there is no other solution, but this, I would appreciate a suggestion as to the intensive way less code and resources to implement this type of interrogation, as the instruments are really designed to be totally independent after they are called, rather than under vi.

Thanks for all comments, let me know if you need more information.

    MTdev wrote:

When a VI stops running, any reference as a queue is also cancelled.  You can make use of this fact.  If your original clone VI could launch a second reentrant VI, which remains active, you could channel all communications to the instruments via VI second using a queue created in the first.  When the first VI disappears, it will trigger an error waiting waiting VI in the second (no vote office is involved).  The second VI can take all the necessary measures.

  • Implementation of HP Officejet 6500 has; don't know how to connect to the web w / wireless home network

I have a small home network wireless.  I configured the printer today but it says I have to connect to the internet (part fax machine works).  The bureau only I have, I keep out of most of the time and just use my laptop (which is for work so I can't set the printer up to now).

Is it possible to connect the printer directly to my router?  They are only a few feet from one of the other; However, I have no idea how do and the instructions don't me much.  Do I need a phone line?  What can I use to connect the two?

Use an Ethernet cable, available in any tech store, online or even target will have them.

Plug it into the back of the printer and the router.  You should be able to add the printer to your laptop.  Let me know which operating system you have and I can help you.

  • Connection to the remote server through ODBC

I am trying to connect to my XP box to an HP - UX Server databases
with Oracle 10g via ODBC. I have tried almost
everything and still cannot connect to it.

I have the Microsoft driver and the driver Oracle, as well as the
Oracle Instant client installed in the XP box, with a tnsnames.ora
file that points to the server, the variable ORACLE_HOME defined, etc.

I know it's available, because I can connect to this same
machine with JDBC Oracle Thin Client (ojdbc6.jar). This driver deesn can't
don't even need the customer Oracle installed on the local computer. I just
specified the IP address, port (it is a nonstandard port), SID, user, pass and it works.
But do not support the programs I should use JDBC.

Do you have any connection string that is right for you? I tried the
those of connectionstrings.com and carlprothman.net, but I think they are
not intended to connect to a remote server...

Your applications are trying to create a connection without DSN to the database? Or they're trying to connect via a DSN? You try to use a TNS alias? Or include the definition of TNS in the connection string?

You have created a DSN to connect to the Oracle database? If so, the ODBC Oracle driver provides a button "test connection". What did you use? If so, does the connection?

How many houses Oracle you have on this machine? I assume you have at least two, or more. You have configured by an TNS_ADMIN environment variable? If this isn't the case, the tnsnames.ora file would need to be replicated in every Oracle home you want to have access.

From the command line, can you tnsping the TNS alias you created in your tnsnames.ora file?

  • How to connect to the firefox sync through sync key?

    Hello.
Prior to re - install Windows, I saved my Firefox Sync key.
After installing windows, I can't to access my firefox sync account for my favorites! It is said: unknown account, register!
But I have a KEY, I need my favorites back!

Help me, please, to the recovery of my favorites back!
    Thank you.

You must use a very old version of Firefox if this version has always used a separate key for synchronization.
29 Firefox and later no longer use a specific key synchronization, but derive the key to the synchronization of the password of the Firefox account that you use to sign in to this account.

You need a version of Firefox 28 to connect to an old account of synchronization that uses the key of the synchronization.
