You still need a CD Windows XP Home edition - which should be bootable.  The disks are machines which cannot BOOT from CD - and these machines probably aren't going to boot from USB.  ;-)

Help me please you very soon,

I'm waiting for all and very valuable answers...

You wrote before you set the BIOS to boot from the DVD & USB before the hard drive.  That's why he doesn't want - it should just start from them.  As you say that it begins just Windows, then it does not detect the existence of the bootable USB key.

These are the controls, I think you should do:

[Do not use cables of USB extension for these tests as they can distort the results.  Connect the USB key directly into the PC].

1 check the boot settings, that you saved in your BIOS - check you have to boot from USB as the first element in the list.

2 while under Windows, check in Control Panel, Manager of devices for possible errors in all USB devices [but error checking in all devices while you're there].  Connect the USB bootable for this audit.

3 look at the contents of memory in Windows explorer.  You will need to set it to show hidden files & show system files [alt, t then folder options, display], I'm not sure.  The unit should have something like this [the list is for my Home Premium x 64 then there might be some variations; mine is a total of 3.3 GB]:

    files
    Autorun.inf
    Bootmgr
    Bootmgr.EFI
    Setup.exe

    records
    boot
    EFI
    sources

    upgrade

    4. do you have bootable USB sticks [any DVD] that you can use to test whether the system or the Win7 USB installation that is causing the problem?

5 look in the manual of your PC for the key you need to get to the menu "start options".  Andre says above, it is often F12 but not always – only the manual of your PC or the PC manufacturers site can tell you.  Put the USB then restart and, as soon as appears the logo of the manufacturer of the computer, press this button.  It will show you a menu short that lists devices that the system can boot from.  If your USB drive is not on the list then the system does not recognize that there is a bootable USB device.

  • Create a USB bootable Windows 8 (pre-installed on my Samsung series 7), to exchange the SSD HARD drive and re - install.

I would prefer to do a clean install rather than just creating an ISO.  In my opinion, this should be quite simple. normal procedure, but more I'm looking more confused, I am about this.  I really wish that Windows would stop doing things to make my life more difficult.

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

For Samsung: Press the F4 key to the Samsung logo when you turn first.

This should provide the ability to create a recovery media backup on USB or DVD

You should be able to also access through the following measures:

    · Press the Windows key + i on your keyboard to show the charms (if you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and drag your finger to the left)

    · Click settings

    · Click change PC settings

    · Click general in the left column

    · In virtue remove all and reinstall Windows, click Start

Then follow instructions that will be provided on the screen to reinstall Windows on your PC.

  • How to create a usb bootable for IE captain?

When I was doing the usb boot, I found articles with google, but they are all so outdated.

Many say even using an 8G usb... which of course is not allowed now, as the required minimum is 16G.

I use the Middle terminal to the USB.

What is the process that is more up-to-date? And what is the code of sudo for this please?

I tried the sudo Web site code, it turns out that say that there is no function "createinstallmedia".

    Hi Guoxuan,

When you mention "createinstallmedia" looks like you want to create a bootable Installer for El Capitan.

Note 'createinstallmedia' is not a function built-in, but is part of the package install, as shown in this article.

Create an installer for OS X - Apple support bootable

Use the "createinstallmedia" command in the Terminal

    1. Download the installer for OS X for the Mac App Store. Quit the installer if it opens automatically after downloading. The installation program will be located in your Applications folder.
    2. Mount your USB key or another volume. You can also use an internal secondary partition.
    3. Open the Terminal application, which is located in the Utilities folder of the Applications folder.
    4. Use the createinstallmedia command in a Terminal to create the bootable Installer. Examples of this command are in the next section. To get the detailed instructions for use, make sure that the app install OS X proper is in your Applications folder, then enter one of the following in a Terminal:

    Path for El Capitan:

    /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia

Note in step 4. the appropriate installation program should be in the Applications folder before you reach it.

The article gives a more complete example of the command.

The following examples assume that the OS X Installer is in your Applications folder and the name of your USB key or another volume is MyVolume:

    Example for El Capitan:

    sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app

If you are just trying to create a bootable USB key, then you just install El Capitan on this disc as usual, by selecting the USB key as a destination.

  • 7 Enterprise USB Bootable Windows Setup does not

Hello! I am new to the community, so please forgive me for posting something incorrectly, but I'll be as descriptive as I can.

I'm currently trying to boot Windows 7 Enterprise from a USB key, which normally works very well. The screen 'Windows loading files' rises, it starts implementing, but on the Setup screen, there is no text for me to the language selection or whatever it is. It's just the empty default image, nothing else.

I have never seen this error before, nor have I met before. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I tried to change the settings of the BIOS in class, which all, and form possible, still no luck.

    Any help is really appreciated.

    How long took you?

Its possible the installation files used to create the bootable copy is corrupt.

I suggest that you download a new copy of the volume license service center and recreate a bootable copy and try again.

After getting the file .iso that you use it Microsoft .iso to USB/DVD tool to create a bootable DVD or USB (requires a blank DVD or USB flash to at least 4 GB key).

    For UEFI systems based

If your computer is UEFI, they are normally the systems that come pre-loaded with Windows 8 or later, you need prepare the ISO for such a configuration file or you will receive an error during installation. The USB key must be formatted in FAT32 and use the GPT partitioning scheme. To do this, you must use Rufus, a small tool that you can download for free.

    Rufus - credit: Pete bastard/Akeo

    After installing Rufus:

    • Launch it
    • Select the ISO Image
    • Point to the file ISO for Windows 10
    • Check create a disk bootable using
    • Select GPT partitioning to EUFI firmware as the Partition scheme
    • Choose FAT32 NOT NTFS as file system
    • Make sure that your USB in the device list
    • Click Start
    • Close when you are finished

    Begin the installation.

The following describes the standard way to start the installation, especially if you are in dual boot a 64-bit version of Windows 10 alongside a 32-bit version of Windows. Another way is to start from a version of runing Windows installation and select the partition where you want to install Windows 10. See below for instructions how.

For information about how to modify your BIOS options to boot from the DVD drive, see the following tutorial:

  • Portege 3480CT: how to make a USB bootable floppy drive?

I need help to make a USB bootable floppy drive.
My laptop 3480CT has not the traditional floppy drive instead, it uses a USB floppy drive and the bios has an option to boot from USB FDD.

I would like to use a USB key to start (a Lexar Jumpdrive 32 MB 05dch 0080 h and GTX 1 GB 1516 h pid pid 8628 h), instead of the floppy. I want to load the boot XP on floppies, so I run recovery programs using chkdsk.

I tried the usual suspects, the bootloader makebootfat and mkbt20 HP.
I tried the demo version of the commercial product Flashboot.
I photographed a floppy back 5.0 system on the USB key using the I-Setup demo.
All failed including the specific option in the makebootfat images for FDD option and 3 different options of Flashboot.

    I ran
    http://Enos.itcollege.EE/~mkalme/Pahn/tut/tut.html

Using Hexplorer ICY, I was able to confirm that the DOS5.0 on the boot sector pendrive is identical to the diskette.
I could start in Dos5.0 from a floppy disk with drivers USB Panasonic and confirm that my Lexar was a system of 1.44 MB disk and command.com displayed in the directory. The GXT is not recognized by the Panasonic, nor BACK USB drivers to Duse 4.4 4.9. Another worrying indicator, it is my computer XP did not see all of the files on the pendrives, not command.com, or two hidden files (view all the hidden files option).

I learned that Transcend a specific option that creates a bootable 1.44 mb floppy
    image on their USB key.

Here is what I have gathered, corrections and suggestions are welcome.

Interface USB the USB protocol specifications

    bInterfaceSubClass field specifies the Protocol
01 order reduced block (RBC) a flash device
UFI 04 a floppy drive floppy drive
05 FDD SFF-8070i SFF-8070i command blocks however, funding may be in a different subclass for example RBC

bInterfaceProtocol field specifies the transport protocol
00 control/Bulk/Interrupt (CBI) with break of completion for FFD only
01 CBI without interruption of completion for the FDD only
transport in bulk only 50 h, including priming

I don't know if the USB controller must imitate the FDD Protocol.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

You cannot boot from the USB key.
The BIOS of the laptop does not support something like that.
Laptop factory supports and use different BIOS versions. As far as I know on this laptop Toshiba BIOS was installed.

To my knowledge this BIOS does not support booting from the USB key, but only the HDD, ODD, LAN or USB - FDD.
If you want to boot from USB FDD, you can create a bootable FDD floppy.
Windows operating system creates the boot floppy drive when you right click on the connected floppy drive and select format. Then simply choose the option create MS-DOS startup disk start.
