  You can drag and drop a picture in a form in v4.3 Pages ' 09, but this can be done in any version of v5 Pages. Quite different applications, as well as more recent Pages has lost about 100 features that were in its antecedent.

  Check if you have Pages ' 09 v4.3 in your Applications: iWork ' 09 file. If so, use it.

  Pages v5 requires that you select a shape, and then on the Image tab in the right panel, you choose Image, scale to fill fill, and then select your image for the background. You cannot select this image from the inside, but you can add text to the form that will appear on your image.

  This is probably a silly question, but I can't seem to get my wrapping around shape of the object to the text.

  I can see the edges of the object are well identified, but the text wraps around them.

  What I' hurts lm?

  -Images must be in their own framework, or do they need to be in the same frame as the text?

  -Do I need to do first the images with a transparent background in Photoshop? If so, what is the ebst method? Use PNG, Gif, PSD, Alpha channel...

  -Do I need to order my items in ID to set the correct order (sent to the background image or stuff like that..)?

  It seems that your picture is on the top of text... try to change the by object stacking order > Arrange > Send to back...

  your 'My pictures' folder... for example... does not display photos.

  And... FWIW... WP & F Viewer is not a program... it's just a .dll file. Disabling
  the .dll file is basically identical to uninstall. (in this way... If you do not
  as the result... you can reactivate).

  But if "gone forever", that's what you prefer... just delete the shimgvw.dll file.

  Attention last... your thumbnails in the Explorer will be gone.

  How... Disable WP & F Viewer

  Click Start / run and enter the following command:

  regsvr32 /u shimgvw.dll
  (Yes, the space after the 2 and you is necessary)

  Press on... Come in...

  Another option is to put the Options bar of the Rectangle rounded to the path tool

  Trash bolt for the background layer, hold down the Cmd key and click on the symbol of the new layer to layer below the image to white. Then edit > fill with white.

  Return the image layer and draw the image as a path

  Click the load as a selection path in the Panel traced

  Edit > stroke and stroke with color

  Select > Inverse > delete

• How to cut a shape from a direct effect of Scribble

  Hello

  I would like to cut a shape from a rectangle with the scribble effect applied so that the background shows through. Attached file.

  I use pathfinder to subtract the shape, but it does not give me the result I want like bleeding of drawing freehand in shape, I am cutting out.

  Someone know how to do this or can suggest a better method? The effect I'm trying to achieve is a large area of chalk that has a clean shot from a rubber of Blackboard through it. I'm just experimenting with a form of star at the moment.

  Is the problem that the scribble effect is applied to the whole layer or the entire compound path resulting pathfinder subtract?

  1. Draw a rectangle that is larger than your Freehand drawing. (regardless if it is filled or not)
  2. Draw the shape of Star, you want to knock out. (ditto)
  3. Select both, object (menu)-> compound path-> make
  4. Choose your Freehand drawing and the compound path, making sure that the track is in front
  5. object->-> make a clipping mask

  Something to change the mask after the fact - use the direct selection (white arrow) while pressing alt/option to select the star.
