  I recently bought a Satellite P300-1GN, best laptop, I have ever bought!

  Then I had a glance at the back of the laptop to see if there was marks, see if something had been abandoned or struck, but no indication of that.

  Now the crack grew, and instead of going down, it goes right through the screen :(

  Could anyone help as to what could be the cause, and if it is covered by the standard warranty 1 year?

  Unfortunately it's the worst thing that can happen with laptop. In general the GPU cannot be replaced and when something like this happens all motherboard needs to be replaced.

  You can try to use Google and check if you can find something but it is unclear to me that you can buy a graphics card in some online stores. Maybe on ebay and without warranty.

  Because I know that some BIOS-based and other stuff, so I would be grateful if someone could explain to me step by step, how to formate (?) my computer everything and then reinstall Vista.

  I'm sure he was following no CD with the computer when I bought it, 70%, so in other words, I don't have any CD of Vista!

  The point is that you must create a recovery disk Toshiba by yourself using the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator. This tool is preinstalled on your laptop and so you can create a Setup disk.

  You can boot from that disk to reinstall Vista or other, you can use HARD drive recovery. You can start it if you go into the advanced boot menu and select Repair my computer. Then follow the instructions on the screen and Windows will be automatically reinstalled. With HDD the only function the first recovery partition will be wiped off so you can back up your files on the second partition.

  I bought the PC laptop Toshiba P300-1GN for a few weeks. Windows Vista is bad for this computer, but Windows 7 works like a Charm. But Windows 7 is not compatible with my programmers tools.

  On the Toshiba site, I saw the drivers for Windows XP. Tried to install Windows XP, but I got the blue screen with error 0x07b. In the PowerQuest Partition Manager both hard drives have error partition #702 (something like that number) but under Windows Vista and 7, drives are works fine without any errors.

  What seems, that's the problem? Drivers SATA Windows XP or something else with hard drives?

  Needs a very fast before going to Toshiba service desk information.

  Toshiba P300-1GN, win XP SP3, Conexant HD Audio - can't do this record from line-in, microphone (built-in & external) works well, but when select Line-In recording control there is no signal more!

  There is a headphone and external microphone jack.

  My mouse stick (accupoint) suffers from problems that make the needle to go side by side and it is (and even more boring descend to the bottom of the screen and then it even if you use another mouse).

  How can I disable it?

  Note that I'm under WinXP SP2 and had to reinstall the laptop, so not all have the Toshiba necessarily installed drivers (just the basics like power management), so let me know if there is a specific driver, I'd have that allows this.

  Yes, you are right, usually Fn + F9 turns off the Accupoint, but yu have to install specific drivers.

  Is it only a CRT monitor available?
