• Firefox LAGS like hell with Flash

  OK, here's the deal.

  After a long use Firefox starts trolling like crazy with Flash. And... It doesn't seem to be a problem with Flash. It is more likely that the browser itself which is the origin of the problem.

  After that, I use Firefox for some time Flash begins badly trolling. BUT! This only happens if I have my current Firefox window. If I open the Task Manager on the top of the Firefox window, Flash stops late as if Harry Porter himself has cast a spell with his wand magic everything that works like a charm.

  -The bug persists even in SafeMode (all addons disabled).

  -With hardware acceleration disabled in Flash bug remains.

  -The bug will disappear after restart - and then will begin to appear after Firefox has been used for some time.

  -Normally it reappears after that I close the lid of my laptop, forcing them to go into sleep mode. After he wakes up - the bug is there.

  -There's not a bug in the past - he began to appear new versions of Firefox are put - do not know the exact version, but I guess it all started since version 14 or 15.

  Just do a single tab with the corners that intertwine with the circle. Turn on benchmarks commented to the corners align with the edge of the circle. Make sure that the two forms are horizontally centered.

  

  Then select the tool rotation and option-click on the center point of the circle. Smart Guides will break the pointer to the center of the circle. Enter your angle of 60 °, and then click "copy".

  

  With the shape of the tab selected, select transform again four times.

  

  Select all tabs and make a shape composed of them (command-8). Make a copy (command-C). Send the tabs on the front of the stack (Command - Shift)]-. Click on less prominent in the Pathfinder palette. That should leave you with this:

  Hello everyone, I am a web developer and I need some help with flash.

  I want to do a card that has a number, a Word etc. each user can change a Word from the Board of Directors and other users can see the change.

  in ajax, it can be easily done by http to a page on the side request server (I use PHP) and an area of the page that refreshes all the 1 second response.

  but I want to do it with flash/PHP and I have no idea how to do. of course, I'm a newbie to flash :-)

  Since you are new to Flash, I would recommend first of all is that you do not continue to learn how to use Actionscript 1/2, but instead start with the latest version which is AS3.  CS3 is supported to use it.  You could do something similar using AS2, but to get more active, I recommend stepping up to AS3.

  So what I would recommend you find a tutorial for working with Flash, PHP and mySQL if necessary.  You can probably use a data file of text/xml instead, but the database can be the best choice.  Here is a link to a tutorial that shows how to use the Flash, PHP and mySQL files... http://www.gotoandlearn.com/play?ID=20  With your experience, you should be able to adapt it to what you want to do.

  In its simplest form, the process is one of the PHP playing between the Flash and the data source.

• How to draw a line (with the line segment tool) then draw another line, from those previous anchor point. When I try immediately draw another line on the other anchor lines it try to turn instead.

  I'm following a course of basic fundamental illustrator on Lynda. The video of "draw straight lines" is troubling me. They draw a line with the line segment and then draw another line coming out the anchor point at an angle.

  Here's where it is troubling me - when I try to drag a line to the anchor point trying to transform the first line, I drew. (the line cursor turns into a selection tool) I can't draw another line connecting the first.

  Advice would be great because it's driving crazy me.

  Yes, it is irritating. You must clear the previous line first. If you want to make sure that both ends are perfectly aligned, start by turning on the guides. If you want two lines to be part of the same way, you should use the tool pen instead.

• How to use AIR SDK with Flash Builder 4.6 3.8?

  Until now I was using AIR SDK 3.6 with Flash Builder 4.6 on mac OS X, with a known method of new sdk "rsyncing" and patch the xml-s config files, but now, I downloaded the new version of 3.8 SDK Beta, because I tried to update, and this method fails. For a new project, Flex Mobile, I get the compilation error "could not resolve < s:TabbedViewNavigatorApplication > to a component implementation, problem Flex"...

  I see on the AIR SDK download page http://labs.Adobe.com/downloads/air.html there are two versions of the SDK, one is the compiler 2.0 level one is for users of Flex... What should I download and update with Flash Builder 4.6?

  This new SDK can be used even on FB 4.6? or is supported only for FB 4.7?

  You can use http://labsdownload.adobe.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/air/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac.tbz2 with the FB 4.6. Here are the steps to overlay the sdk

  1 exit Flash Builder.

  2. (optional) save for the Flex SDK kit by copying the directory.

  In Flash Builder, for example, to copy the directory to:

  • Mac OS: / Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4.7/sdks/4.6.0

  3. download the AIR SDK file appropriate for your operating system for example http://labsdownload.adobe.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/air/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac.tbz2, unzip it and save it on your MAC OS X.

  4. in the Terminal, run the following command

  Ditto sudo/path/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac Applications/Adobe\ Flash\ Builder\ 4.6/sdks/4.6.0

  5. (optional) to access the new AIR API 3.8, update your application descriptor file to the namespace 3.8.

  The x-axis is always an entry on the XY graph. You just need to change the title of the axis. Way easier to do is to double-click the axis title and type the new name.

  It isn't really round.  It is slightly flattened vertically.

  In any case...

  I have an Action which places the guides at 50% (50pc) vertically and horizontally to give me exactly in the middle of a file image, or you place them manually with view > new Guide.

  After doing that I would put the circular select this center point using the keys SHIFT and Alt (Opt) and get it more or less where I wanted.  Then change the selection in a work path.

  You can use a manual for remodel transformation and position who work the path by selecting it in the Trace Panel.

  Then place your text and if you need tweaking, use free transform again, but on the text layer.

  

  You can also use free transform to reshape the BG graphic to make around it.

  If you are interested in a vaguely similar effect, but without all the subtle shadows, I have a suggestion. Draw the white text, several times, gap between the nominal position of a pixel or two in different directions and then draw the text in black at the nominal position. The idea is that white copies create an enlargement of each letter which becomes an overview when you draw the black letter on it. You may need to do this a letter at a time, allowing more space between the letters, rather than draw the entire chain at the same time.
