For the problem of resolution of screen... There is a possibility
that you need to update your video driver.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

Proceed at your own risk *.

Try searching the website of your video
MFG. the adapter for a compatible update Win XP
video driver. Or... If your computer is a laptop...
Search the support site for your computer
Reference of the manufacturer.

If you do not know the make and model of your
Video adapter, see the documentation that
supplied with the computer.

Also you can find info on your video by driver
go to Device Manager: you can launch
By clicking Device Manager on... Start/run and
type or copy / paste:
devmgmt.msc
And then press ENTER.

Expand "Graphics cards" and right click
the name of your graphics... then
choose... Properties / tab pilot... FYI.

You should find the make and model of your
adapter display as well as the version of the driver.

If the driver on the Web site is no longer
current than you run...
Download and install it. In addition, installation
instructions that should be followed closely
should be available on the support site.

Good luck.

  • iertutil.dll was not found when installed IE8

Explorer cannot start makes no difference if I'm in Mode safe or not. No start button or windows explore but have a wallpaper.  Win xp sp3. No access to internet either!

Don't have access to the Task Manager. I searched c:\windows\system32\dllcache but can't find that file and the dll is not in and c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

Iertutil.dll missing Sys32 folder I finished copy, in front of a pc win 7. Who fails to work as it is not recognized!
Tried to restore the Task Manager, %SystemRoot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe but that does not work.
Tried to register the dll too but that would not work.

    Any ideas?

Your answer me will think so I downloaded IE8 on a separate computer and extract the dll. Copied to an SD card which oddly enough my pc can read (but not my usb key!) and the copiedthe dll in the sytem folder as you suggested. It worked and I now return windows Explorer!

Thanks a lot a lot, you have been very helpful. Very appreciated for sure.

There seems to be a lot of discussion on this issue.  I tired some of the patches, but some of my numbers seem different from what other people have.  The problem is on my laptop.  I try to connect to my router and have internet access.  My office is a new computer with Windows 7 installed.

When I try to open my network center and sharing on my laptop, the computer thinks for a while, and then I get the Windows Exporer stopped working window.

    Thank you

    Kevin.

    Hey Kevin,

You will need to run the command above in the elevated command prompt.

Refer to this step help: How to run a command with elevated privileges?

After you run the command of high fashion, you should get the message, "" DLLRegisterServer in wmp.dll managed."

Also, you can run the method 2 regardless of the success or failure of the method 1. Please try these methods first and see how it goes.

Normally, it is appropriate to fix this problem by running SFC scan and you would not need to copy the file.

    Kind regards

Why is - this happens when I open documents using Mac advertising agency and I'm on PC?

    Hi Mikael,

files have been archived in archive zip-file when transferred via the ftp protocol? I guess, not.

If the files were already placed in a document, InDesign on the agency side the following workflow might be the solution:

    Office on Mac OSX:

1 package the InDesign document, as well as placed images and fonts of the necessary document with InDesign packing device.

    2. the folder packed in a zip zip file.

    3. download the zip file to an ftp server

    You on Windows:

    1. download the zipfile to your own workload.

2 unzip the zip on your workload. Do not delete the zip file.

    3. rename the folder of the package to fit your scheme of naming of jobs (option)

4 rename the InDesign document to adapt to your schema naming of jobs (option)

    5. open the InDesign file in the packed file.

Do not move or save somewhere else.

    Alternative:

Work with Dropbox to share documents on a shared volume of Dropbox, if documents must move forward and backward between you and the Agency.

    Hey Brucefl,

Try to restart in a clean boot to see if this error message is caused by a third-party program/startup process. To do this, follow the steps in this troubleshooting guide:
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

If the restart in a clean boot prevents the problem to appear, take a look at the list of programs and services (do not forget to check her hide all Microsoft services box on the Services tab) tab of msconfig. Try disabling the programs and services to see if you can isolate what programs and services is causing this error message to occur.

Hope that helps, I look forward to hearing from you.
