  Without knowing the exact model of the computer number we are unable to direct you to the exact page on the website of HP that each of their pages to support is based on the product in question.  But the error you get indicates the hard disk is defective or has failed and you need to contact HP for repair.  There is a known issue with some bad hard drives which have been manufactured by Seagate and they are replaced free of charge.  I have no way of knowing if your drive is one of them, that's why you need to contact HP.  If you go to this page:

Then I would be able to enter the password for my 'OTHER' ANOTHER iPod because I don't have another, it's really frustrating and just a pain, especially late at night. So I really need to solve this problem quickly, or I'll break the iPod... lol.
