How to format a disk for installation of win 7

Hello. I recently built a computer and I burnt a windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit install disk using a. ISO from microsofts Web site. I installed it successfully on the computer (it is in trial version), but now I need the DVD to burn windows 8. I can't delete the files on the DVD. It simply doesn't get it. When I try to format it just says "cannot format". There is no option to right click Delete. Please, I would like to help.

Can you tell me how to check on windows 7? Thank you

In fact I thought to it. It is a DVD RW.

  • How many groups of disks for + DATA?

    Hi all

    Made Oracle recommends that a group of disks asm wholesale/shared for all databases?
    In our case we're going to 11.2 and 10 g rac against 11.2 ask...

    Am I right to say that I need to set the compatibility of the asm to 10 in order to be able to use the same disk?
    It is a good idea? Or should I create another group of disks for the db 10g?
    I guess that there are features that are not available when compatibility is reduced to 10g...

    Yes, it is possible but not recommended because the ASM would distribute the e/s in such a way to disc 1 would get 4 times requests for disk 2, which is probably not what you want in terms of performance.

    Yes.

    As long as it's a DVD from Microsoft and not a computer Manufacturer'e Recovery DVD.

    Read the information below.

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
  • Concepts: how much writing on disk for a single update
    (I use 10.2.0.5 but I think that this applies to any version)
    After reading lots of documentation on Oracle I started to think how often Oracle 'written' for a single update statement.
    The following is correct?
    For an update statement:
    (1) the original data are written in tables UNDO space
    (2) this is protected by a write first to REDO log
    (3) the new data is written to the table space
    (4) this is also protected by an entry first in the redo log
    (5) after that fills in the redo log, it is copied to an archived log
    (6) at the time of the backup that Archives archiving log is also best once more
    So for a single update, I count at least six entries of the same data?
    It is probably what makes the robust Oracle.
    No, your data still haven't write (immediately) to datafiles (your tablespaces logically). When point of control (when manually to CHANGE the point of VERIFICATION SYSTEM, SWITCH of NEWSPAPER, when the buffer cache is full, STOP IMMEDIATELY in backup database tablespace mode) then your blocks of data will apply to data files.
    (4) this is also protected by an entry first in the redo log
    Yes
    (5) after that fills in the redo log, it is copied to an archived log
    YesIn ARCHIVELOG mode()
    (6) at the time of the backup that Archives archiving log is also best once more
    YES.
    These are not same data! This is the mechanism of oracle database. Cancel the information generated immediately and ensure uniformity reading (to restore). Redo information just, contain no information. It comes to redo change agent who used methods of recovery (media and instance) and finally your data updates do not immediately write data by DBWR because files there is reason of performance.
    How long will it take to install Windows 7 on the computer I have now?
    Computer: Dell Inspiron 1545
    RAM: 3 GB (indicative value)
    Graphics card: Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family
    Support for DirectX 11
    72.2 GB of space were used. 21.6 GB for programs and the rest for the Documents and the operating system itself.
    I already ran Upgrade Advisor Windows 7 and only a few programs (which I don't use) are not compatible with windows 7. How long will take to install Windows 7 Home Premium x 86 on this computer as an upgrade to a USB Flash Drive?
    I want the three year old Dell, so it can work better. I know someone whose computer has been upgraded to windows 7 (slightly older than this one) and he runs it is smooth like cream whipped over memory-hungry vista.
    I will be very happy if it will update install in less than 3 hours. An indication of the time would be greatly appreciated.
    Installation time can vary depending on factors such as the speed of the processor, memory and your data set (including your personal files, settings and installed applications that must be transferred during the upgrade. Some upgrades may take an average of 2 hours 25 minutes, but there has been cases of up to 20 hours.
  • How to format everything on UCS C240
    Hello
    After we finish of PoC, customers want format all hard disks.
    Is there anyway that we can do?
    We have 2 SSD, 6SAS disks.
    The OS was also ESXI 5.5
    I was trying to find a command on ESXI, however, I could not.
    Can someone tell me how to format all disks on this platform?
    Thank you.
    Jiyoung,
    As far as I know there are 2 different ways to achieve this.
    1. If the C series is integrated with UCSM, just create a strategy of scrub in the SP connected to the server and set it to YES. then restart the server and as soon as the discovery is completed. Dissociate the SP from the server and will lead policy scrub clean the hard drives.
    2. If the C series is a Rack Mount. Just remove or change the configuration of any other Raid Raid # except the one you already have. So who will wipe all the information stored in the hard disks.
    Please note ALL useful answers
