  You try to run the following commands in elevated command prompt and verify.

  a. open the start menu, click programs principally made, select accessories.
  b. right-click on command prompt, and then click "run as administrator".
  c. type the following commands in the DOS prompt window and press ENTER at the end
  of each line:

  Regsvr32 msxml3.dll
  Regsvr32 /u msxml6.dll
  Regsvr32 msxml6.dll

  Restart the computer and try to access help and Support.

  Unfortunately the nc6220 doesn't have Windows 7 drivers on the HP.com website, I suggest that you try to use Windows Vista drivers and see if that can solve some problems for you.

  I had a few actingweird and slow start up programs.  Windows Help & support suggested that I "click here" to start my computer with only the Basic programs necessary for the performance of the computer.  I did, now I can't access anything whatsoever.  NET - cannot be found. Even my audio icon is x'd out.  I can't have developed Windowsnhelp to know how to solve this problem.

  Have you run any registry cleaner? Files in the temp folder are always safe to delete and also free space HDD :)

  Try updating Java to http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp on your system.

  Change back to normal if maximized properties do not work and follow these steps.

  Any window that you want to resize all the time must be the last closed window.

  Take the corners of the window and drag it to the format full screen. Do not use to expand. Close all other windows first via the taskbar and the latter. Windows will remember the size of the last closed window the next time that you open the program.

  I do not know, you will get an original recovery media for this older model laptop, but you can see the page posted by Akuma m.
  If you are not able to get Toshiba recovery media install WXP using the facilities of Microsoft CD.
