  Hey there,

  First of all, thank you for helping me with this one.

  I use Picasa and organize semi-automatiquement all my photos on my hard drive. Given that Picasa will be abandoned, I want to spend all my photos/videos photos. What I get is, how to import a single folder in Photos and automatically creating a photo album. But I can't do with several files because I fight with Automator. I found some tutorials intestine on the web, but not for my particular situation.

  What I did (see screenshot):

  (1) departure of workflow must be the parent folder, and Automator should go in its subfolders and take one after the other.

  (2) now I need a variable to record the name of the folder. The name of the folder must be the new name of the photo album.

  (3) the final step is to Automator to import a record after another and create a photo album with the same name as the current folder.

  If I do, I have the problem that all imported as one (without subfolders) and the name of the album is always like "... / Desktop. I couldn't find solutions to this problem. Does anyone know what I need to add to Automator to do what I want?

• Cannot find out how to import photos

  I was watching YouTube videos but also read the tutorials and I can't figure out how to import a single photo.

  Everything I watch or read, it seems that I need to click on import > select a folder containing image files > and then I'll see thumbnails contained in this folder.  But no matter what folder I selected, though there are JPEGs, RAW files, anything, there are no previews and the import button is grayed out.

  Activating/Deactivating the subfolders box does not help.  HARD drive is running.

  I'm probably just something wrong.  :/

  EDIT: I deleted my preferences file and that seemed to fix it.  No idea what was wrong.  If anyone else needs it, it's at: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 5 Preferences.agprefs

• PSE11 import subfolders

  Well, I feel stupid.

  I'm watching a tutorial that explains how to import images of file folders.

  I have 3 folders, folder 1 folder 3.   Folder 3 has 3 subfolders and say 3 to 6 subfolders subfolder.

  I have already imported files 1 and 3 successfully without importing subfolders.  Now, I want to import subfolder 3 3 folder (which has 6 subfolders) but not the subfolders 1 and 2.

  I see it is that if I select the main folder 'Get files from subfolders' is active and can be checked or not checked as I want.  Now when I select the subfolder 3 (which has 6 subfolders) 'get the folders and subfolders' is gray and the 'Get media' button is grayed.  In other words, there is no way to import all folders subfolder 3 unless I go back to the parent directory and some subfolders or I spend the 6 different subfolders in subfolder 3.

  So I imported all the photos of one of the individual folders, now I can't import another file.  Why can't import the subfolder and all of its subfolders?  I continue to read the tutorial and it seems that I should be able to do this?

  Any ideas what I could do wrong?

  Also, I know that without a photo it is not clear what I'm trying to do, I hope I did the problem correctly.

  Try using the Panel on the left in the Organizer. Click on the two yellow pins to expand the tree. Then, try right clicking on the individual folders & subfolders options.

  "Much more wysiwyg" is another way to express what many of those who "used (MS Excel) for many years" expressed as "more intuitive. These two descriptions usually boil up to ' what I'm used to, ", which is also true in the other sense.

  Whatever the real explanation, the standard advice is "the tool that will do the job." If "the job" requires referencing values in a separate document, the numbers (alone and without the help of AppleScript) are not the best tool for this job.

  In the first paragraph of the section "Import Windows Mail Messages", it says you need to download and install the ImportExportTools add-on - we. Once installed, the relevant menu options will appear in TB.

  You need to do in the Manager of bookmarks (library).

  You can find 'Data import from another browser' in the Manager of bookmarks (library)

  • Bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup

  MPEG files come in different flavors. If these files are old as you have indicated, I guess they are MPEG 1. In this case, you can convert Quicktime using MPEG Streamclip 5 squares. It's free. If you are referring to a DVD video which is mpg2 while you can use Handbrake to convert. MP4 should import ok in iMovie. It will also convert your AVI files and also streamclip!
