How to install 64-bit on a 64-bit OS

I try to install Labview 2011 SP1 evaluation on Windows 7 64 - bit OS. When I choose the directory to install it automaticaly points me to the 32-bit compaibility folder "Program Files (x 86)". I think that this isntall the 32-bit version of Labview. I want to install the 64-bit version. How can I do this?

The evaluation version is 32 bit and is fully compatible with windows 64-bit. I don't know if you can download the 64-bit as evaluation version. You can download the 64-bit version if you click on the [+] next to "additional OS and language LabVIEW downloads."

The 64-bit version is 1.1 GB.

For everyday use, LabVIEW 32 bits is recommended because it has broader pilot, module and the support of the Toolbox.

Why do you think that you need 64-bit LabVIEW?

You can easily install both if you are not sure.

    Hello

I had a Toshiba Windows 7 upgrade for my P300 which was under Vista 32 bit. During installation, asked me if I wanted to install 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 and I chose 32-bit. Installation worked fine.

Now (moths later) I decided that I would like to install the 64-bit version instead. I have an own (custom) settled by booting from the DVD, but it don't did me not option for the moment and all re-installed Windows 7 32 bit. I know that the 64-bit version is on the DVD (there is a folder for it) - how to start from the DVD and have it install the 64 bit version?
I didn't format the drive when you perform the clean installation - if I do that it will give me the option?

    Thank you
    Ben.

    Great news, mate! :)

Thank you for this feedback. I'll test it on my Satellite P300 I want to upgrade to Windows 7 too.

In addition, an upgrade is possible to the same version: This means that Vista 32 bit can only be upgraded to 32-bit Windows 7. On 64 bit it s the same ;)

  • How to install my HP OfficeJet G85 with Windows 7 (64-bit) and a parallel cable?

I have a PC that has Windows XP (sp-3), the HP OfficeJet G85, all works well with a parallel cable of the G85 to the computer.  I got the updated operating system upgraded to Windows 7 (64-bit).  Put everything back with my parallel cable, I installed the G85 on the computer and tried to print a page.  Nothing.  So far, help did not help and I'm getting nowhere.  Someone knows how to fix this?

I'm not sure if Win7 will come back to the parallel cable. Is there a reason any your using the parallel cable instead of USB? This printer driver is included in Windows 7, but AFAIK you must use a USB cable. • How to install Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit?

Hello! Can someone tell me how can I make Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit to 64-bit?

    Here's my question: -.

    1. I bought a version of Windows Vista Edition retail family Premium, the package has only the 32-bit support (DVD). I found a few website say that the product key for the retail version of Windows is for 32-bit and 64-bit, as long as we use 32 - bit or 64 - bit on a single computer at a time. If I'm wrong, anyone could answer my question?

    2. now, I plan to move from 32 bit to 64 bit, my problem is that the version sold at retail of Windows that I purchased only contain 32-bit media:-

    (a) is there a way I could install the 64-bit Windows?

    (b) is it possible I could get 64-bit support?

    (c) could I use media in Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit retail a friend to install on my computer? And after installation, I can activate Windows with my product key?

Looking forward to the responses, thank you.

Do you a clean install from 32 bit to 64 bit.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/windowsvista/1033/ordermedia/default.mspx

Link above is how you get 64 bit DVD, if you have a retail license.

You can use any Microsoft Vista 64-bit DVD and use your 32 bit key as you say it's Vista Retail

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • How to install Panasonic HD Writer AE in 32-bit emulation mode?

Attempted to load Panasonic HD Writer AE 1.0 for HDC (video software from a Panasonic camcorder high definition) on my desktop computer that uses Vista Home Premium for the OS.  Apparently, the software is a 32-bit application, and it gave me an error message that it would not go on a 64 bit system.  I spoke with the technical support of Panasonic, and they said that it could be executed if the Vista operating system operates in "32-bit emulation mode.  They said that I needed to talk with Microsoft about how to implement.  Can't find an answer in the Vista HELP. Can you point me in the right direction?

    Hello

In the 64-bit Windows edition, a user can install 32 bit or 64 bit program without any problems unless the program is compatible with Windows.

To install a program in emulation mode, try the following steps.
1 installation file to install a program.
    2. during installation, the installation wizard, browse and change the target location of the installation of the program to "C:\Program (x 86)".
3 complete the installation of the program.

To check if a program or hardware is compatible with Windows Vista, visit the following link and enter the name of the product to verify its compatibility: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/default.aspx

If a program is not compatible, there are available under Vista workaround to install the program successfully. The workaround is as follows.
    1. open the program compatibility Wizard the by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, click programs, and then clicking on use an older program with this version of Windows.
    2. follow the directions in the wizard.

For more information, see this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If workaround does not help to install the program successfully, then the alternative is to use Virtual PC to install the program or contact the program vendor.
Visit this link for more information: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/

    I hope this helps.

  • How to install an OS using my recovery OEM 64-bit installation CD.

How to install an OS using my OEM recovery DVD installation I originally created after I have unboxed my portable 64-bit? I initially chose 32 bit by accident, but now I want the 64 bit OS.
I have a HP Compaq 6715 b Vista Business. I don't have an option to delete my partition and create a new one. I don't have the possibility to choose 32-bit or 64-bit. I had the opportunity to choose 32-bit or 64-bit on the initial installation when I it unboxed and put in place.  How can I get to the screen that allows me to choose between 32-bit or 64-bit?

    Help, please. Thank you.

    Jimmy

    Hi, Jimmy:

I don't know the answer to this question, but if you live in the USA/Canada, you can order a set of Vista recovery disks and you should get a 32 and 64 bit DVD so much software.

Call HP at 1-800-334-5144 and ask to order a set of recovery DVD.  Be sure to let you know you want the 64-bit disk (but I think you get to the time in any case).

    It costs $10.00 per post.

I can't install the driver that came with my TV/FM USB box because it is a 32-bit driver. My OS is Windows 7 64 bit. Please how to install this driver?

You should go to the 'box' TV manufacturer support website and download and install a 64-bit driver.

The 32-bit driver will not be installed in a 64-bit system.

What is the model of TV 'box '?
