    Hello

    You mean SP1?

Click Start > right click on computer > left click on properties > see if you have Vista 32 bit or Vista 64-bit installed.

It will also tell you here what Service Packs, if any, are already installed.

Then, choose the download of 'bit' OK to use to install Service Packs, first of all the installation of SP1.

    Hello Richard,.

  • Portege M400 - how to install utilities for Windows 7 Toshiba?

I have improved my Portege M400 Winows 7 (32 bit), which went well. However, impossible to find out how to get and install the utilities that I included with XP Tablet version.

Can anyone suggest how to get (I understand that they were available for Vista)?

    TIA.

    Kris

    Hello

The Toshiba utilities do you mean are designed only for Windows XP. On Windows Vista and Windows 7, you need only the Toshiba value added Package. This package contains everything you need.

Portege M400 doesn't support Windows 7, but you can try installing the Vista drivers. Most of them are also work on Windows 7.
AFAIK, you must also Support Button Toshiba on this model.

  • Photosmart 7762: How to install driver for Windows 8.1 without physical connection

I have a Photosmart 7762 printer attached to a NAS box (with wiring everything very hard to go to the behind the various units of the office) and want to be able to print to it a new PC for Windows 8.1 that is installed (with difficult access to the wiring) in a separate room, but on the same network.

The HP site for the printer says that I have to use Windows Update to obtain the driver, but this only works if you physically connect the printer to the PC which is not an easy thing to do in this case.

Did anyone know where I can get hold of the driver so I can use the "disc"? I could not find anywhere. If not, does anyone know how to copy the driver to an existing installation of Windows 7 (on a laptop), I could connect) and the question of whether it works?

    Hello

Follow the steps listed in the download for later use or use on another computer below, it will allow the download of the INF and install those manually, be sure to follow the link to Microsoft that explains how to locate the right package and extract it:

This is not a configuration supported for Windows 7 running. Windows 7 must be installed on an internal storage device. This is probably why Windows 7 SP1 fails.

  • How to install themes for windows Vista?

I tried several times to install themes, but nothing happens. I went to help and support and all he said was to open the theme file. But did not work. Any advise?

If you talk to install themes not included with Vista, there is a special procedure for this:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/how-to-patch-windows-vista-to-enable-custom-themes-visual-styles/.  It is a little advanced, but if you follow the steps one at a time and take your time to do, you can get there.  Then you should be able to install and use new themes.

If you mean simply by changing the themes that are already installed, here's a tutorial on this process:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/87194-theme-settings.html.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Is this the right file to install the SP1 for Windows 7? It starts with 'windows6' - > Windows6. 1 KB976932 - X 64 .exe

    According to this page:

    to install SP1 for but Windows 7 file: Windows6. 1 - KB976932 - X 64 .exe - this application installs Sp1 on a 64-bit computer running Windows 7
but since it starts with "windows6." I thought it wouldn't hurt to double-check.
    Thank you.
PS why versions of OEM Windows 7 Ultimate have SP1 on their DVD distribution but apparently does not have the full retail version? At least there is no indication of SP1 is included on the DVD, judging by the name/description of the product at retail.

  • Cannot install updates for Windows 7 SP1

    Hello

I tried for awhile now to switch to Windows 10 without luck ( http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-win_upgrade/windows-7-key-not-recognized/9a66ab9a-819a-4285-9461-64e7528db222?tm=1450545430339&auth=1 ). In the end, I decided to reinstall Windows 7 RTM, install all updates and then upgrade to Windows 10.

Unfortunately, I seem to be impossible to install updates for Windows 7 now. Everything was going fine until Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320 installed. After a few mistakes, WU start looking for updates for hours. I've tried everything as suggested here without a bit of luck. In the end, I decided to leave it to search through the night and finally it does find and download updates about 300.

Installation of these updates takes about 4 hours and Windows restarted and tried to configure the new updates, restarted saying once again he could not configure the updates of Windows and it will undo the changes. And it's been like that for over an hour.

So as soon as now I can not even update Windows 7, not to mention the upgrade of Windows 10.  Any ideas? I'm sick of the Windows updates, causing problems.

Installation sometimes loads of updates at a time can cause problems. When you access the list of the 300 updates Windows updates to odd day again, deselect all of them and then choose the oldest (for example) 50 and see if they install on their own.

Sometimes do fall off a long list of updates and try to install more small pieces may help them to install.

Is not sure, but its worth a try as a first shot.

(I know what you mean though issues of update.) It makes you wonder what's going on sometimes :-()

If this does not help, is there required failure account error codes?

original title: I get error Service disabled 0 x 80070422 when you install SP1 on Windows Server 2008 R2

I get the above error if you use Windows Update or install SP1 from DVD.

I found that the Windows Modules Installer Service is the service responsible for the error. It is configured to start automatically. When I go to the Dependencies tab I get a pop up that says: "Win32: the service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices is associated to him."
I disabled AVG during an installation attempt.
I followed the troubleshooting steps, by running the update of preparation tool (KB947821 nothing helps.

  • I have error code 8024200d when you try to update and install SP1 for Vista

I have error code 8024200d when you try to update and install SP1 for Vista. I'm currently running Vista Ultimate. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!  Matt

    Matt,

The 8024200d result code indicates WU_E_UH_NEEDANOTHERDOWNLOAD
Update Manager did not install the update because it must be downloaded again.
Suggest you download and Save the complete stand-alone package of Vista SP1.

Links to the standalone versions are on this page because you validate that the edition of Vista is x 86 (32-bit) or x 64 (64-bit). You can see the architecture of the system of opening in the Panel and next to the search System system type: Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1)

Before attempting to apply the SP1 please consider this information-

If you choose to install Windows Vista SP1 via the standalone installer available on the Microsoft Download Center, Microsoft recommends that you first check Windows Update and install all drivers in option. Read the Articles in the Knowledge Base 948187 and 948343 for more information.

Suggest you to create a folder on the root drive (the drive where Windows is installed, usually C:\) and name SP1.
Move the downloaded Service Pack in the newly created folder.
Disconnect all the devices, printer, external USB hard drive, etc.

Then, Configure the system starts in a clean condition
After you restart the worm as a clean boot, apply SP1.

If there is still a problem with the installation of SP1, MS offer support chat and free e-mail to "help you to download and install service packs" here-
