  • How to install the Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad on a Windows 7 computer?

Need help to install a joystick microsoft sidewinder on my computer with a Windows 7 operating system. I have a gamepad adapter to connect via USB. Can you please help me with this.

    Hi Bhottinger,

Microsoft has dropped support for this product. As such there is no driver available for this product.

However, according to the Compatibility Center Windows 7, Microsoft Sidewinder joystick is compatible with Windows 7. You can see the report here.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/search.aspx?l=en-us&type=hardware&s=SideWinder%20joystick

Therefore, using control of pilot integrated Windows if you manage to get the device works. If you have the old drivers CD, you can try changing the compatibility of the driver settings to make it work.

    Method 1:

Usually, Windows will find and automatically install the necessary drivers when you plug your game controller into your computer.

    (a) connect the joystick to the USB port via the adapter.

    (b) see if it is detected.

    (c) Windows should recognize the new hardware and set in place to work properly.

    Method 2:

Install the old driver that comes with the product by changing its compatibility settings.

Make older programs in this version of Windows

After the installation, check if the device works.

  • When are you going to fix the Microsoft Wireless Mouse overheating Nano receiver?

I bought one about a month ago Microsoft 4000 wireless mouse. Yesterday he is receiving died on me. I suspect the short-circuit. After some research, I realized that I was not alone with this problem, it could be a default of series.

Once the question has appeared on the forum before (http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7hardware/thread/727a8f10-4aaf-4f1e-bea1-3a73f7e62cf9) but the problem was quickly rejected.

I bought the whole thing on a trip in Europe and cannot be replaced. So the question is: If we trust Microsoft for the second time and buy the same mouse again or opt for something else? I need a mouse that works on rough surfaces. But right now, I may need to overcome my taste for the device and opt for Logitech to anywhere, at least that you reassure me that you will have the transceiver replaced soon.

  • The Microsoft Wireless mouse right button does not work

The right button of the mouse on my Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 does not - at first I thought that it was a hardware problem, but when I used the mouse properties/control panel to change the buttons on the mouse, the right button worked and the left mouse button does not, which leads me to believe that it is related to the software/driver.
I have the latest version of the driver/Intellipoint software.  I am running Win 7 32 bit on a Lenovo ThinkPad T410.
Change the port USB did not help; the problem persists, no matter which USB port I use for the receiver.
Reinstall the software Intellipoint also did not help.
It is a recent issue; I had the mouse for several months and it has worked well upward until a few days ago.
Googling the problem that leads me to believe that it is a common problem, although most people seem to think it's a hardware problem.

  • How to clean a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000

The (keyboard and mouse) worked perfectly for the last four years, but today the function of scrolling the mouse begins to fail and I suspect that the failure is due to debris inside the housing.

1 should I attempt to disassemble and clean & if so, do you have instructions?

2 should I remove the battery and give it a bath in isopropyl alcohol or other recommended fluid?

    3. other reccomendations?

    4. If I buy a replacement mouse, it will pair with the existing transmitter/receiver?

    Thanks for any help

Sorry for the delay in responding.

The mouse is more under the guarantee of several years.

Impossible to extract tamper proof screws... guess it IS inviolable.

Clean the bits that I couldn't with isopropyl alcohol, but then the stretched rubber ring and intermittently capture and probably due to the loss of aromatic compounds.

Thnks a lot to all of you who responded... it is a great forum.

  • How to install the drivers of MCi on my Windows Vista

    Hello

I'm trying to run a GMAT software and it says run this software, install MCI drivers on your system. Can someone help me please how do I do?

    Kind regards
    Abdel kader

    Hi, Maud.

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forums.

When you are on the site to get the GMAT software is there not a place or a pop up offering you to install to a MCI driver so that you can run this program?

MCI drivers provide the functionality for the MCI commands. The software performs some management tasks database data, but all the multimedia reading, presentation, and recording is reproduced by the individual speakers of MCI.

Drivers vary in their support for the MCI commands and the command flags. Because media devices can have very different capacities, MCI is designed so that individual drivers extend or reduce the command sets to match the capabilities of the device. For example, the record (MCI_RECORD) command is part of the command for the MIDI sequencers, but the MCISEQ driver included with Windows does not support this command. The reference for the record command explains type peripheral devices sequencer recognize the command. This does not mean that all devices of this type is supported by the command. Applications should use the ability command (MCI_GETDEVCAPS) to determine the capabilities of a particular device.

You probably want to check on the site in which you use to get the GMAT to see where this MCI driver for you to download.

Please post back and let us know if this information was useful to solve your problem or not, so that we can help you if necessary.

  • How to install the Microsoft Xbox 360 game wireless laptop controller running Windows 7 as a ' instead of "unspecified '?" game controller

Downloaded Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless game controller for laptop running Windows 7.  The driver does not read like a game controller but appears as not specified.  How can I get the hardware to read like a game controller?

  • How to install the adapter wireless network in Satellite Pro A10

I'm trying to set up a wireless connection with my Satellite Pro A10. I thought it was active wireless, but when I switch the wireless switch, no light comes on and there is no card listed under network adapters wireless (so I guess not).

Is it easy to install a wireless adapter (i.e. can I do it myself or I must be done by a professional)? Can anyone recommend what card I should by (or any other that I should avoid)?

    Thank you.

    Hello

According to the specification of the specifications your A10 Pro Satellite is WLAN ready. In notebook specification it has listed two compatible WIFI cards:
    PA3212U-4MPC (Agere 802. 11b) and PA3273U-2MPC (802. 11a / b).

I don't really know if you can use some faster wireless network cards with the g standard. You may be lucky and someone will post here results update WLAN card.

I'm not sure 100% where the WLAN slot is placed but check it please under the lid placed close to the battery.

  • The Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 has a power button or an auto-turn off function when you use it,

I am interested in buying one for use on a desktop PC, then the transmitter/receiver must be connected all the time...

Mouse Wireless a usually - ON / OFF switch or the automatic stop function.

And because this mouse is not to have ON / OFF switch, so it must have auto power-off function - and this function is independent of the question whether the radio is placed in the mouse, or even on your computer (plugged) attached.

And sometimes - if the mouse goes into power saving mode - you must first press the button of the mouse to wake up.

    Hi retiredinflorida,

Welcome to Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

  • Microsoft Wireless mouse not working not properly in Excel.

Original title: using the buttons of foam in Excell

    Reference: Microsoft Wireless 5000 foam

I use the foam buttons in Excel to navigate backward/forward "TABs". It is very useful and is in fact the reason to get a 2 buttons and scroll mouse 4-way.

BUT... it does not work with this Wireless foam 5000. He has worked with my old Logitech... that would mean Microsoft foams are not completely compatible with Microsoft Software?...

I downloaded the latest version of IntelliPoint v8.1.239.0 but nothing has changed.
I am running XP with Office 2007.
    Any idea?

It seems that there are some 8.2 updated drivers for the mouse on the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 Technical Support page.  It might be useful to install to see if it solves the problem.

  • Because the microsoft 5000 mouse scroll wheel have a side a click?

I just bought the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000.

I've looked everywhere but can't find nothing to explain how all the buttons work on the mouse. Nothing came with the unit and I can not find this simple information on your website.
Can you please direct me where I can get this info or you can give it here?

Click here for a manual and the last download IntelliPoint:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/wireless-mouse-5000#support

Be sure to choose your version of Windows before you download Intellipoint. Most of the Intellipoint statement statement, apparently. TDS shows the inclination of the wheel allows horizontal and vertical scrolling, but which can be changed to in Intellipoint.
