How to know the difference between RDM physical and virtual

Hello!

How can I see if a RDM (RAW device) is physical or virtual?

I can see it in the vmx file or easily elsewhere?

I have a few servers running both VMFS and RDM disks inside the virtual machine, and when you use ESX Ranger and make an instant backup, they are ignored to be backed up.

Grateful for a response

When you change the settings of the virtual machine and choose the RDM - there will be a radio button selected for the RDM mode, it is - it is really obvious. She'll be selected for the physical or virtual.

    In which client tool (such as SQL * Plus, TOAD, SQL Developer, etc...) you run the query?

    Could you please run the query in SQL * more and show us the exact result?

    In some Client Tools, you have the privilege to set the DATE format, but should not be different level columnar.

    I was wondering, how NLS_DATE format parameter can show different formats for different columns?

  • How to know the difference between the Dates in Oracle.

    Hello

    Suppose we have two Dates say November 5, 2005 and October 12, 2007.

    Is it possible to know the total difference between these Dates in Oracle.

    Thank you

    You can subtract date-objects. The result is the difference in days.

    select  to_date('12-10-2007','DD-MM-YYYY') -  to_date('05-11-2005','DD-MM-YYYY')   from dual;

    TIMESTAMPDIFF function first determines the timestamp component that corresponds to the specified interval setting. For example, SQL_TSI_DAY corresponds to the day component and SQL_TSI_MONTH corresponds to the component "month".

    If you want to display the difference between two dates in days using SQL_TSI_DAY, unlike butterflies SQL_TSI_MONTH and so on...

    Original title: is anyone know about MHT files?

    What is the difference between. MHT and. HTM?

    Hi Sheryl,

    Welcome to the Windows 7 community!

    I understand that you would like to know the difference between file MHT and HTM file. I'm happy to help you.

    MHTML, short for MIME HTML, is a format to archive web page used to combine resources that are usually represented by external links (such as images, Flash animations, audio files, Java applets) as well as the HTML code in a single file. The content of an MHTML file is encoded as if it were an email message to HTML, using the MIME type multipart/related. The first part of the file is normally encoded HTML; subsequent parts are additional resources identified by their URL original and encoded in base64. This format is sometimes referred to as MHT, after the suffix .mht given to these files by default when created by Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer or Opera. MHTML is a proposed standard, distributed in an edition revised in 1999 as RFC 2557.

    HTML Web page that is used by Web browsers; contains the code markup that is stored in a plain text format; used to display and format the text and images in a Web browser.

    HTM files serve the same exact than purpose. HTML files. The extension ".htm" appeared with the use of the Web Microsoft, such as FrontPage, SharePoint Designer and Expression Web development software.

    HTM files are much less common than HTML files.

    It will be useful. For any other corresponding Windows help, do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help you.

  • I want to know the differences between the conditions of subscription and use of Photoshop for photographers of the usual subscription?

    Nice day! I want to know the differences between the conditions of subscription and use of Photoshop for photographers of the usual subscription? And if I can buy then and for how Adobe Illustrator? What will be the beta of the Adobe XD for Windows? Thank you!

    If you ask what is the difference between photographic subscription and the subscription of stand-alone application, then the answer is both are essentially the same except for two ways. The photographic edition comes with Adobe Lightroom and 2 GB of cloud storage. The stand-alone Photoshop version comes on its own, but with 20 GB of cloud storage and is two times more expensive. If the 18 GB of cloud storage is an additional value, I would say probably no - put the money that you save on an external hard drive in place. The photographic edition was initially a temporary special offer caused a suggestion from one of the co-creators of Photoshop, but turned out to be very popular with fans, private and business and so we have a permanent plan to subscribe to Photoshop. There is no plan equivalent to Illustrator and who is available at a single price. With the subscription model, you can cancel at any time, but the contract is 1 year, if you cancel at the beginning there is a penalty clause which will ask you to pay extra this tax applies only if you pay your monthly subscription every year.

    You don't say where in the world you are, but the link below shows the available plans. There is a drop down box that allows the conversion in different currencies.

    Hello

    If I unederstand the problem correctly, that's what you want:

    WITH       got_extrema     AS
    (
         SELECT       tr_id
         , CAST (MIN (create_time) AS DATE) AS start_date
         , CAST (MAX (create_time) AS DATE) AS end_date
         FROM       test
         GROUP BY  tr_id
    )
    SELECT       tr_id
    ,       start_date, end_date          -- If wanted
    ,       24 * ( ( ( TRUNC (end_date,   'IW')          -- Count -1 day for every full week
                        - TRUNC (start_date, 'IW')
                 )
               / -7
                  )
                + LEAST ( end_date               -- If end_date is a Sunday
                            , TRUNC (end_date, 'IW') + 6     -- consider it 00:00:00 on Sunday
                     )
                - CASE
                          WHEN  start_date >= TRUNC (start_date, 'IW') + 6     -- If start_date is a Sunday
                   THEN  TRUNC (start_date, 'IW') + 6               -- consider it 00:00:00 Sunday
                   ELSE  start_date
                      END
                )     AS total_hours
    FROM      got_extrema
    ;

    I guess that you don't need to worry about fractions of a second. As you did in the code you have posted, I am to convert the TIMESTAMP to date values, because of DATE arithmetic and functions are so much better than what is available for timestamps.

    Basically, it's just to find the number of days between start_date and end_date and multiplying by 24, with these twists:
    (a) 1 day is deducted for each week between start_date and end_date
    (b) if End_date is a Sunday, none of the end_date himself hours are counted
    (c) If start_date is a Sunday, then all the start_date himself hours are counted. Why these hours should be counted? Because 1 day is already being deducted for the week which includes start_date, which contains only this Sunday.

    TRUNC (dt, 'IW') is the beginning of the ISO week containing dt; in other words, 00:00:00 the or before the dt last Monday. This is not the NLS parameters.

    Of course, I can't test without some sample data and the exact results you want from these data. You may need a little something more If start_date and end_date are both on the same Sunday.
    Whenever you have a problem, please post a small example of data (CREATE TABLE and only relevant columns, INSERT statements) of all of the tables involved.
    Also post the results you want from this data, as well as an explanation of how you get these results from these data, with specific examples.
    Always tell what version of Oracle you are using.

  • Hi I am new to Oracle forms and reports I want to know the differences between the Enter query mode and Normal mode?

    Hi I am new to Oracle forms and reports I want to know the differences between the Enter query mode and Normal mode?

    Welcome to Oracle Forms!  Out of curiosity, what do you mean by 'new '?  You are a student or new to an organization that uses Oracle Forms?  Or just play with Oracle Forms to learn something new?

    Let me start by saying that many of your questions designtime can answer by searching in the help of the constructor of the form library.  It's accessible, like most of the other products in the Builder menu > help.

    Regarding your question, ENTER QUERY mode, as the term implies, is when it is in a State where it is accept input for the execution of a query.  When in this mode, there are various restrictions.  Yet once, it will find more details in the Builder Help.  In this case, search help for these two subjects, "SYSTEM." MODE'and "built-ins comments that are not allowed in the input query Mode".  There are many other pages that contain information about the ENTER_QUERY method, but these two should help you get started.

    Normal mode, as its name implies, is when it is in a State of 'normal '.  Basically to do nothing in particular, but also not in ENTER QUERY mode.  In this State, you can move the shape, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, documents, etc..

    You will find additional information, as well as a lot of documentation on the product page of forms of OTN:

  • What is the difference between Foglight JavaEE and Foglight JMX monitoring?

    Hello

    I have a plan to monitor the 6.1.0.17 WebSphere Application Server (32 bit) and 7.0.0.5 (64-bit)

    But I understand not all Foglight for JavaEE and Foglight for JMX.

    Foglight for JavaEE or Foglight for JMX is able to monitor WebSphere?

    What is the difference between Foglight JavaEE and Foglight JMX monitoring?

    Thanks in advance

    Jeans

    Just to add to the excellent answers already posted.

    We have 2 agents which allows you to monitor Java:

    1. a JavaEE agent that runs inside the JAVA virtual machine and the information of both JMX and instrumentation.

    This Agent will give you JMX information like information of JVM (use of the bunch, son etc.), of the Application and server availability information and other information of JMX/PMI (connections pools, pools of ejb, servlets, jsp, JCA and more).

    Java EE & # 039agent also gives you information of the instrumentation - RFA count and response time, exceptional output and timeout information, distribution of queries (App/DB, component technology, server, application failure), object tracking, transaction flow and stransactional between servers and data sources) and ask traces (the ability to see the trees of the RFA at the method level to know where things are slow/stuck).

    2 JMX agent is running outside the JVM but can run on the same computer or on a remote computer, this agent requires access active, JMX. This agent gives you information JVM, availability server/applications, as well as some data as the application server published using JMX (pools of connections, JCA, EJB, servlets, etc.). The JMX agent also gives you the ability to see a list of the mbeans, get the data they expose (javaEE agent gets only a predefined list (same list that is used as a template for the application servers in the JMX agent)).

    Hope this helps
