How to load additional external texts?

It's my texts external loading:

//Loading external texts
var slideXTween:Tween;
var txtAlphaTween:Tween;
var txtNextText:Tween;
var txtContainer:Sprite;
var txtField:TextField = new TextField();
var textRequest:URLRequest=new URLRequest("happyHoliday.txt");
var textLoad:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
var txtFormat:TextFormat = new TextFormat();
//end of loading external texts

How to use this same code to load a second file .txt after that one is responsible and the motion tween is complete? I don't want to rewrite the whole code to other files to load.

Thanks for any help.

use:

TweenLite.to(txtField, 30, {x:-stage.stageWidth*2.25, ease:None.easeInOut, delay:0.5, onComplete:myFunction});function myFunction():void {    textLoad.load(new URLRequest("inspiration.txt"));    TweenLite.to(txtField, 30, {x:-stage.stageWidth, ease:None.easeInOut, delay:0.5, onComplete:nextText});    trace("tween finished");}function nextText():void{    trace("tween done");}

  • How to load an external mp4 video

    Hello

    How to load an external mp4 video in as2?

    This code is perfect, but I want video mp4 in there.

    Please help me!

    Mx.video import. *;

    my_video.contentPath = ' clips / maharashtra.mp4 ";

    my_video. Seek (4.7);

    my_video. Play();

    var listenerObject:Object = new Object();

    listenerObject.complete = function(eventObject:Object):Void

    Then, the only problems with your code are that 4.7 seconds of video probably does not load at the time wherever you run your seek() and you have a superfluous code:

  • How to import the external text file lines?

    Hello

    I was faced with files external text for quite a long time now. I have a lot of text, and that's why I think I should consider from an external file for easier mounting and of course cleaner code.

    For example:

    week.txt

    Monday is a good day.

    Tuesday's too.

    Wednesday is also.

    Thursday is not.

    Friday is maybe.

    Saturday is maybe not.

    Sunday is without doubt.

    I should have a code that will somehow take advantage of these lines, independently of each other and show them a (first of all the first line, second to the second, the third time to the third line...) whenever I call for a function. I know I can probably use \n for line ends where term but I don't know how to do it. Processor is not something I do often.

    Also I'm not sure if it's a good way to handle this situation, but again, I would like to know how to do this.

    I'm not asking for the code on the right (although of course I also would appreciate) but a few tips that will help me get closer to how to proceed.

    The simplest method is to use URLLoader. Something like this should help you get started:

    var l:URLLoader = new URLLoader();

    l.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, loaded);

    l.Load (new URLRequest ("week.txt"));

    function loaded(e:Event):void

    {

    ("var a: Array = String(l.data).split("\n ");

    trace (a.Length);

    trace (a [0]);

    }

  • How to load my external Gallery.swf in Page 6. It loads the first page (HomePage_mc)?

    Hello

    The following code loads my external file "Gallery.swf" on HomePage_mc (which is Page 1). But I want to load it on Gallery_mc (which is Page-6). How can I do?

    Here is the code:

    [code] ButtonsPanel_mc. Gallery.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, GalleryClick);

    function GalleryClick(e:Event):void {}

    If (currentClip! = Gallery_mc) {}

    currentClip.visible = false;

    Gallery_mc. Visible = true;

    currentClip = Gallery_mc ;}

    var Xpos:Number = 110;

    var Ypos:Number = 180;

    var swf:MovieClip;

    var loader: Loader = new Loader();

    var defaultSWF:URLRequest = new URLRequest("swfs/Gallery.swf");

    Loader.Load (defaultSWF);

    Loader.x = Xpos;

    Loader.y = Ypos;

    addChild (loader); }

    [/ code]

    PS: There was a problem with a hug. Now it is fixed, but when I go to the homepage or any other page after clicking on the button of the Gallery, the Galley.swf, but continued to play on top of all these pages. How to fix?

    Thank you.

    To have the Gallery load on Gallery_mc, you would use...

    Gallery_mc. AddChild (Loader) instead of addChild (loader).  Which bind to this movieclip.

  • Problem with loading an external swf of in an external swf...

    OK, everything was going well on a Web site project, I worked, until yesterday. I will try to explain the whole scenario first, and I'll put the code here too so anyone can try to understand what the problem is. Here is a breakdown of the site:

    1) there a MAIN SWF file that plays an intro and then stops on the last image with the Navigation buttons 'hand'.

    2) in the root folder where the MAIN SWF resides, there is another folder called "sovereign wealth funds", which contains six main external navigation pages, but also another folder called "galleries" which contains additional external SWFs for six pages in the gallery.

    3) on one of the layers of the MAIN SWF, there is a clip called 'mySWFLoadingClip' that the buttons of Navigation of the 'hand' loading and unload pages external to swf. It all works perfectly. The beginning of the problem to the next step. This is the code I used for the buttons of navigation on the MAIN SWF scenario:

    var Xpos:Number = 0.0;
    var Ypos:Number = 0.0;
    var swf:MovieClip;
    var loader: Loader = new Loader();

    var defaultSWF:URLRequest = new URLRequest("swfs/home_page_swf.swf");

    Loader.Load (defaultSWF);
    Loader.x = Xpos;
    Loader.y = Ypos;
    this.mySWFLoadingClip.addChild (loader);
    ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// //////////////////////////////////////

    Function universal BTNS
    function btnClick(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    this.mySWFLoadingClip.removeChild (loader);
    var newSWFRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("SWFs /" + event.target.name + ".swf");
    Loader.Load (newSWFRequest);
    Loader.x = Xpos;
    Loader.y = Ypos;
    this.mySWFLoadingClip.addChild (loader);
    }
    Listeners of BTN
    home_page_swf.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClick);
    portfolio_page_swf.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClick);

    about_page_swf.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClick);
    team_page_swf.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClick);
    contact_page_swf.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClick);

    4) one of the external navigation SWF pages is called "portfolio_page_swf" and gets loaded into the moveclip of 'mySWFLoadingClip' on the MAIN SWF. This is where the problem begins. The "portfolio_page_swf" has six buttons facing an additional external swf in the file galleries. Now when I open the file "portfolio_page_swf" to test if the buttons work, they work perfect. When I click the buttons, the external swf gallery files appear as they should. But the problem is that when I open the "MAIN SWF" file to test the site, I can click on the main Navigation buttons and they work. I click the portfolio button on the time line of Hand SWF and place of 'portfolio_page_swf' on the stage as it should, but when I click the buttons located in the 'portfolio_page_swf' galleries are not displayed. The page "portfolio_page_swf" buttons work only if I open the file 'portfolio_page_swf' directly. The following code is used in the "portfolio_page_swf":

    var Xpos:Number = 0.0;
    var Ypos:Number = 0.0;
    var swf:MovieClip;
    var loader: Loader = new Loader();

    var defaultSWF:URLRequest = new URLRequest("galleries/gallery_print_swf.swf");

    Loader.Load (defaultSWF);
    Loader.x = Xpos;
    Loader.y = Ypos;
    this.mySWFLoadingClipGALLERY.addChild (loader);
    ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// //////////////////////////////////////

    Function universal BTNS
    function btnClick(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    this.mySWFLoadingClipGALLERY.removeChild (loader);
    var newSWFRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("galleries /" + event.target.name + ".swf");
    Loader.Load (newSWFRequest);
    Loader.x = Xpos;
    Loader.y = Ypos;
    this.mySWFLoadingClipGALLERY.addChild (loader);
    }
    Listeners of BTN
    gallery_print_swf.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClick);
    gallery_packaging_swf.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClick);
    gallery_web_swf.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClick);
    gallery_video_swf.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClick);
    gallery_others_swf.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClick);
    gallery_logos_swf.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClick);

    If anyone can help understand me this I would really appreciate. This is a very important project and the deadline is coming up very soon. Please help me understand how to load an external SWF on the main timeline and then charge an additional external swf within the first external swf. I'm puzzled.

    If I'm following the structure you describe, it's probably a problem of targeting.  If you load a swf into another swf I think the scenario is the same that if you load a swf in a web page...  The charging base is the document down the chain, which is your main swf if you test Flash (otherwise it would be so stable web page in a web page).  So when your portfolio is responsible in the hand, it's like living in the folder of the hand, so your swf portfolio should probably include sovereign wealth funds in targeting... as in...

    var defaultSWF:URLRequest = new URLRequest("swfs/galleries/gallery_print_swf.swf");

  • Load an external audio file in table?

    Hello.

    I figured out how to load an external video file - and I can play an audio file imported, but I can't seem to use both methods to load an external audio file into a table. (doh)

    Here is my audio code:

    var tour_audio:Array = [tour1, tour2];

    var my_num:Number = Math.floor (Math.random () * 2);

    var ChosenSound = tour_audio [my_num];

    var playing: Sound = new ChosenSound();

    Playing.Play ();

    Here's my video code:

    var my_videos:Array = new Array ('link1.mp4', 'link2.mp4', 'link3.mp4', 'link4.mp4');

    var randomIndex = Math.floor (Math.random () * my_videos.length);

    my_player.source = my_videos [randomIndex];

    I tried ' var tour_audio:Array = ["link1.mp3", "link2.np3"];  - but it does not work.

    Ty

    //  ------------------------

    the table is from your code, the table will be the references for the two audio files

    var tour_audio:Array = new Array();

    then you must create two instances of the sound class to contain the audio files you load into

    var soundClip1:Sound = new Sound();

    var soundClip2:Sound = new Sound();

    then you need a sound channel to play audio files

    var sndChannel:SoundChannel = new SoundChannel();

    It's your randomizer code

    var my_num:Number = Math.floor (Math.random () * 2);

    now, you load each sound file in your instances of the sound using the URLRequest class

    soundClip1.load (new URLRequest ("tour1.mp3"));

    soundClip2.load (new URLRequest ("tour2.mp3"));

    to find out when loading, the files have completed, you must add an event listener to each of the classes of sounds

    These event listeners will be triggered the functions onComplete1 and onComplete2 when loading is completed to each sound file

    soundClip1.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,onComplete1,false,0,true);

    soundClip2.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,onComplete2,false,0,true);

    This is the function for the first hearing of his charger, it will add the instance of the sound in your table class once loaded the sound

    function onComplete1(evt:Event):void {}

    tour_audio.push (soundClip1);

    }

    This function does the same work for the second audio file

    function onComplete2(evt:Event):void {}

    tour_audio.push (soundClip2);

    }

    Call this function to play the selected audio file

    It could be called from the function of onComplete2 above

    function playRandomSound (): void {}

    var ChosenSound = tour_audio [my_num];

    sndChannel = ChosenSound.play ();

    }

    //  ------------------------

    I added comments to the code itself which should help to explain what is happening. Yes, AS3 is just jam packed with intimidating stuff. As use you it, it will start to make sense.

  • Load multiple dynamic text files in different settings Maintimeline

    Here is the code on the real framework where dynamic text works:

    Exteranl loaded text fields
    var textLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    var textReq:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("text_philosophy.txt");

    function textLoaded(event:Event):void {}
    philosophy_txt. Text = textLoader.data;
    }

    textLoader.load (textReq);
    textLoader.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, textLoaded);

    TextFields: what I wanted to do, mainly for peace of mind, is to have a layer that I dedicate to actionscript which only has the code frame 1 but it extends along the timeline so that the code is available for each image on any other layer.  In this context, I put the variables and functions that can get used/shared everywhere where they happen be necessary.  I have the habit of creating separate from the other layer for types of actions of actionscript... the stuff that happens at the level of the local framework, like stop(); or as the assignment of a variable a new value, etc... local things to being in this context/location.  So with this in mind

    In frame 1 on my layer shared by all the world, I would probably declare the variable...

    var textReq:URLRequest;

    And when I get to a particular frame where I want to load a new textfield with data, I attribute this value on the layer var local actions...

    textReq = new URLRequest ("text_philosophy.txt");

    with the rest of local implementation concerning the loading of the file, etc...

    ---------------------------------------

    Sovereign funds:

    Yes, pretty much, and it becomes an object who owns a House on the timeline, so if you move away from this framework does not follow the swf file.

  • XML - text form loading external text contains special characters

    Hi @ all...

    in my projects, I often use xml files to load external text that I can format it in css and it worked fine until now...

    I have a site that I am prograaming in Italian and German and in both languages, there are amount of text that contains special characters like ' to' 'o'' 'e' 'u' 'a' 'u' and so on... the problem is that when I write a text with characters in xml file when the text is loaded into this flash of special characters are not recognized , and instead of them appears a small square...

    I tried to load the text from a html instead of an XML file (because in HTML, I know how to write these special characters and let them display right in my pages html... for example = & agrave; but not way... the flash now loades the text & agrave; instead of to...)

    How can I solve this problem?

    a big thanks to everyone!

    Hello

    You should probably incorporate the fonts that you use in your FLA file before you publish the SWF file. Just go through the steps in the video @ http://blip.tv/file/2357619 if that helps.

    Thank you!

  • External text does not load

    Hi all
    I'm sorry if this is posted twice. I tried to improve my original description of the problem, and

    I have two sovereign wealth funds, a master and a file connection. As sovereign wealth funds, the words of a file is loaded into the master swf through a movie clip loader. In the file, I want to load external text in a text box. The problem is when the text box is inside a clip, it does not work. And I need it to work, because I want the text to load at some point during the clip. To load the text, I use this code in frame 1 of the master.swf:

    -load vars >-------.
    var myLV:LoadVars = new LoadVars();

    myLV.onLoad = function (success: Boolean) {}
    If (success) {}
    _level5.loadedInfo.htmlText = myLV.info;
    } else {}
    _level5.loadedInfo.text = "It has been a loading error the requested information.";
    }
    }
    -< / load vars >-------.

    And in frame 1 of about.swf:

    _level0.myLV.load("VARs/about.txt");

    You can download my FLAs and the text file to goldinroute.com/macgregor/help.zip

    Click on 'About' in the menu. See how this text area appears (which is irrelevant) but nothing appears? The "dummy" working text box has the same instance as the other name, but the other is inside the clip 'boxmovie', while the dummy box is mounted on the stage of the remarks. Ideas? Help would be VERY appreciated. I was banging my head against a wall for about 2 days now.

  • Load external text in Adobe animate CC

    Hello!

    I am interested to load external text in a HTML5 Canvas with Adobe animate.

    This text should be bold and italic tags too.

    Any help?

    Concerning

    [Ask in the correct forum allows... Left generic Cloud/Setup forum for forum specific program... MOD]

    Of course, you can load data in the form of XML or JS files. JS (via the injected script tag) has the advantage of working from the local file system, while XML (via XMLHttpRequest) works for a web server.

    However, you won't be able to display any bold/italic formatting by using the native Flash text objects online. To do this, you superimpose native text HTML elements on the stage.

    Here is a simple example of loading an XML file:

    // load XML file
    var req = new XMLHttpRequest();
    req.open("GET", "test.xml", true);
    req.addEventListener("load", transferComplete);
    req.send();

    function transferComplete(e) {
        var rawXML = e.target.response;
        console.log(rawXML);
    }

  • Active layer reference as the index when loading external text file

    I have a series of text animations, and I want to be able to load the content of the text for the layer of an eternal file.

    It is referenced in many places (I saw him here external text of Pro video Coalition - Expression Shorts - read the Document by David Torno), and the script is usually as follows:

    try {}

    myPath = "~ / Desktop/source.txt ';

    $.evalFile (myPath);

    eval (thisComp.Name) [0];

    } catch (err) {}

    "MISSING."

    }

    In this case, the layer is always array index-, so I would be able to replace the specific reference to the array index by a reference to the current number of layer. This allows a simple duplication of the expression rather than having to change each term individually for each layer. I think that the property that I need index - but it does not work! Or not the way I use it anyway.

    It is (a) of the terms I've tried

    eval (thisComp.Name) [thisComp.index];

    On layer 9 the error indicates the property! or method named 9 in the Array class is missing etc - so index 9 is interpreted correctly, but I use it wrong.

    Resolved, with the help of this post Re: disorder of the eval expression

    Solution - without the try catch block is as follows (including some debugging... stuff):

    myPath = "~ / Desktop/source.txt ';

    $.evalFile (myPath);

    myLayer = index;

    "result:" + myLayer;

    typeof (myLayer);

    myArray = eval (thisComp.name);

    myArray [myLayer];
