How to manage the envelope distortion and other effects

I work for a printer that produces a lot of labels litho (no adhesive, who called because of the next step) for corrugated cardboard. We ship leaves printed on box companys that will stick on the cardboard corrugated and then cut in the style of the specified area.

The majority of the work we get is created with Illustrator, which we prefer due to the large size product and need to modify the work. A final dieline should be placed in the work and the bleeding usually need extending and mitreing at different areas of the dieline original artist is usually not aware of.

Enough background and on the problem. When there are effects such as distortion of the envelope in the work, it is completely safe for all select and break down the side? The reason I ask this is that without expanding, the effects change as on the following example which was shot.

This one was obvious, but there are others who are more difficult to see. We recently printed a 26 "x 54" leaf had an envelope warp distort effect change when it is turned. Even with large full proof, we don't notice, and our client the box company he did not notice. Only the end customer saw after that product has been delivered to them.

So I wonder how others deal with the problem. You develop appearace of everything? Or require the original artist to do? Do you have a policy to never run work? Any taxation done later in the workflow in PDF or EPS files trapped?

The answer to your question is that it is safe to develop and then you might want to flatten transparency as well.

What are the settings for after all.

A word of caution should check to see that you have no whites to overprint. Unless they are part of a pixelation effect, you can uncheck this option in the attribute Panel.

Normally, it is not a problem. Just good to check.

    You can change the installation location through the desktop Adobe CC application.

    Click the gear on the top icon right > select Preferences > section under the creative cloud, you can set the installation location.

    According to me, that it should be possible to work cross-platform without having to create a link to the files each time, or without having to keep export/import of the catalog, keeping the single catalog and the picture library on an external drive that is then switched between systems as needed.

    Obvious first requirement is an external drive that is formatted in a way (for example, FAT32) that it can be used on both platforms in read/write mode. Given that, if the catalogue AND folder parent si le catalogue ET le dossier parent images are both set to the same level in a global parent folder, then it should be possible to take advatage of ability of Lightroom to use relative paths instead of absolute paths to detect the images, no matter if the player is named (Mac) or lettering (PC). This is how "export as catalog of ' works, that is, it creates a 'package', alias a parent folder, containing the catalog and a replica of the folder hierarchy to exported along with the catalog images. Take this 'package' to another system (same OS or not) and "it works" even if the drive letter is different or the operating system is different... because the relative path of the image catalogue is always the same.

    I have not tested this cross-platform (if I have between various PC systems with letters of different readers) so for me it's still just a theory, but there may be others who have done this successfully.

    It's easy to manage your contacts using the Contacts folder in the file Explorer.

    Go to the desktop and open Explorer Windows (Windows key + E).

    Navigate to the C:\Users\your folder name\Contacts.

    Click on the help icon in top/right side of the window.

    This will show the details on the import, export, management Contacts, creating and managing groups, etc.

    When you make changes in the Contacts folder, these changes are automatically applied to the App people, the Email app and other applications where the contacts are used.

    In an attempt to partially answer your questions:

    Monitor the performance of the application from a commercial point of view. As transactions per minute, or response time or time elapsed for the key events of the company. Monitor the activity of the material such that the CPU usage is not necessarily linked to the performance of your application. Performance should be measured from top to bottom - business first, then the lower levels until you get finally to computer equipment. Only if you get a problem to the next level - response time is too large, for example - you can go through the lower levels to identify the cause and fix it.

    2. how to monitor the CPU, memory and i/o on the system?

    I personally use "sar" on UNIX-BASED or Linux, or rather "CFDCs" which is the system activity data collector. SADC will measure and collect data on activities on CPU, memory, disks, etc. and save them to a file in binary format. You can then extract these measures later for analysis using SAR (sar f sadc_file_name). The benefits of SADC are that it is light (these operating systems measure such things anyway, just CFDC records far), it records everything at once (with the exception of the network), it records the time stamp too for each measure, and you can analyze it later when you want to.

    There are commercial products out there too who do similar work, with additional features, such as the integration of Oracle and the relationship between several systems. TeamQuest is an example, but there are others also. (I do not work for TeamQuest, but I used their product in the past).

    in the example given here , it looks like a format simple bytestream...

    You must read the byte stream, get the first and the second byte to decode the data type and length and then read & catalogued according to number of bytes. And then read 2 bytes and so on...

    Since you have a Dell and a recovery CD and not a recovery Partition, check how many partitions you need by using disk management:

    In case you have a partition with the operating system and a partition of the utility partition, I would only recommend formatting the partition from the OS. The Partition utility can be very useful.
